This has helped me a lot. I suffer from OCD and guilt based on sin. I thought that if I sinned God would punish me but now I am beginning to understand he loves me.
I'm struggling with smoking and quitting smoking and I have already gotten sober, in my 7th year of sobriety and that alone was amazing and I know I'd feel better if I quit smoking, Father God please help me with this guilt and shame 😢

The moment we wrap our minds and heart around the fact there is no longer a sin issue, because that is what Jesus accomplished on the cross and His resurrection defeated sin and death, we will be free. We are no longer under a covenant agreement. Jesus handled that for us. It is all about relationship now. You either have one or you don't.

He can break the chains, who is stronger? The enemies tactics or the power of the blood of Jesus? I know this may seem somewhat obvious but we need to fight the good fight of faith not through performance but by drawing near to Him. These are testing times but they were also being tested in the time scripture was being written. But nothing we have been tempted to do is different to what is common to man since the beginning of the downfall which was caused by sin. 1 Corinthians 10:13 13 “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” God is love. He is good. He will always be. He never changes. Seasons change but He remains the same. Love to you and peace sister in Christ, God loved you and all off us so much He sent His Son to give us eternal life. But also an abundant life, this does not mean we won’t face challenges and suffering because this world is broken and it is not our home. But His Word says He has overcome this world and the darkness and death has no sting! He is walking with you and carrying you when you can’t walk anymore, He loves you deeply and wants to have an intimate relationship not a performancey religious relationship. He says in Word to come to Him all who are weary and heavy laden and He will give them rest for their souls. That if we take upon His yoke he will teach us and we will be able by His grace to walk in His ways as His burden is light and easy to carry✝️🤍
I really appreciate you teaching this series on toxic guilt. It is hard to believe that everything isn't my fault and that I'm not responsible for everything all of the time. The good news is that I think this is the biggest issue I have. Yes it is all consuming at times, but a year ago there was so so so much more and it all felt random. A root of rejection and not having a parent that was ever NOT picking me apart religiously, has lead to this. This is a little trio O misery. Religious judgment, rejection, shame/guilt. I'm hopeful because God has lead me to healing this. Thank you Jesus! I know it is his love and kindness that wants me to feel joy.
I have been struggling with guilt over divorce and remarriage, it has me panicked that I won’t be forgiven as I’m committing adultery. I have begged for forgiveness.
I live in the condemnation and shame stage. I am a human and in that humanity I live in sin, I am always searching myself for that sin. I am free with Christ by being aware of that sin but how can I be aware of it without my knowledge of it. I am constantly searching it out. I can't trust myself, I can only trust God. I live without freedom.

Man, I've been in this continuous cycle of intrusive blasphemous thoughts and trying to fight against them since sometime in February, and it gets better for a while and then just gets worse, and just today it felt like a gut-punch when I attempted to speak in my head, some phrase to the effect of, "May the Holy Spirit fight against the devil," but instead, the second half of that sentence, to my great shame, got hijacked and replaced with the suggestion of a carnal act with the devil. The mere notion of it disturbed me greatly (not to mention typing it out again, thereby reliving it) and has me reeling over whether I have committed the unforgiveable sin. I'm in counseling, but up until a couple days ago, and especially earlier this evening, I thought things were going okay as far as the intrusive thoughts. I wish I could find a way to end this vicious cycle.
I’ve had the same thing happen to me since January, I had intrusive thoughts about the faith and it’s been going on ever since. Hi, I have a question. When I see videos of other believers saying we need to be fasting and get up early going to bed late doing all this to be “in tune with the spirit” but here I am just trying to keep my head above water. I have trauma from not properly fasting and am so scared to ever do it again and feel like if I don’t do those things then I’m behind and will miss out on what the Spirit saying ? Also whenever people say that we need to “prepare” and be “in tune” it makes me anxious because it makes me feel like something bad is happening and don’t know what to do. Makes me go back to my end time fear that I am currently working on being healed from. Which for so long had fooled me into not thinking I had hope or a future. So it’s all very triggering and don’t know if I’m being a lazy Christian/ ignorant or if they’re doing the most lol Please respond on a video. I
To alleviate your worries, I want to assure you that the enemy uses certain people to bring you back under the law and back into bondage. We definitely should get closer to theord but God is not seating in heaven and taking note of all your sins. You no longer have a sin issue once you trust in the atoning blood of Christ. All that is left is to have a relationship with him by trusting in Jesus. This puts you in right standing with him always. God wants to lavish his love on you so you can love him, yourself and others sincerely without all the performances. Hope this helps
Toxic guilt does not belong to the victim ever. It belongs to the perpetrators period. Idk if u have already but you must define TOXIC GUILT. It is guilt that a victim carries inappropriately. The victim has to understand WHERE TOXIC GUILT COMES FROM. If the guilt is legitimate from what you have actually done something wrong then that is not toxic it is legitimate guilt and then u must repent and pray about it.
There is at least one really toxic teacher on RUclips when it comes to this teaching, but I think this is something we all struggle with. I've even heard some teachers on here (not a Christian teacher) condemn forgiving others because he felt it was too much of a controlling element from patriarchal religions and a way to further control victims. I'd say that's extreme but that is what some people are being exposed to! Goes against the most basic Christian teachings and some people build their lives on that, sad!

It’s impossible to get free in condemnation. Performance mentality causes me to hate God and run back to sin to feel better.

Toxic guilt does not belong to the victim ever. It belongs to the perpetrators period. Idk if u have already but you must define TOXIC GUILT. It is guilt that a victim carries inappropriately. The victim has to understand WHERE TOXIC GUILT COMES FROM. If the guilt is legitimate from what you have actually done something wrong then that is not toxic it is legitimate guilt and then u must repent and pray about it.
There is at least one really toxic teacher on RUclips when it comes to this teaching, but I think this is something we all struggle with. I've even heard some teachers on here (not a Christian teacher) condemn forgiving others because he felt it was too much of a controlling element from patriarchal religions and a way to further control victims. I'd say that's extreme but that is what some people are being exposed to! Goes against the most basic Christian teachings and some people build their lives on that, sad!
