Love your videos and the qualities great, love this version of Megatron.
There were many mentions of simplified articulation, but I only saw it in the neck. This one may have actually increased articulation with the individual posable fingers. And I'm not sure if the simulated ankle rocker piece is a new point of articulation or if that was on the original too.
If you question him at all he calls you a troll, so don't expect any answer
Love a good ko! They are always hit and miss but I only intend to display this in robot mode and for the price point it's perfect. I always felt the colours on the original were inaccurate and this ko is closer to the movie, especially with all the added detail. Thanks for the shield tip off. I'll get the sand paper out for that one. Thanks for sharing!
Just buy a non transforming statue if you don't want to transform
Get the threeZero one if you don't want to transform, it is very movie accurate

Great review, looking forward to when mines arrives love the accurate added details and paint in the KO. And yes the sword is accurate to the movie it didn’t have those gold accents. Will have the KO displayed for the robot mode and the UT as his alt.

If I liked TLK more, I would buy this and Challenger cause I love the designs. But I'm getting Movie Leader Optimus Prime and some kind of MPM styled Megatron.
i didn't think they would simplify certain things on this KO, kind of a pity, still very nice figure though
When they put leds in the head they had to modify the way of switching faces, maybe it also affected that
They didn't simplify anything. The head is slightly less articulated because it's a new sculpt that has LEDs in the eyes. That's literally the only difference.
This is why worshiping reviewers is a terrible idea. They say "simplifications" over and over again and you just believe them instead of using your own eyes.

I have both the original and the ko, it is simplified but within reason.
Ooff.. that mistransformation tho.. sagging wings..
So the only difference with UT version is scale.. paint.. and neck articulation.
If this figure would have come out a year sooner I would have gotten this over UT.. just for the scale alone.

Just got mine. The company claims they added more die-cast parts, and maybe they did in the lower foot area. (I don't own Unique Toys version for comparison). But I can tell from watching an Emgo transformation video of the UT version, that this version has changed a few internal diecast angle-hinge parts to just plastic. Sad face.

C'mon Ben, I like your video, but can you get a bit more specific when doing a comparison. Like in this case, you are saying they simplified the articulation and made it a bit "less good", but that kind of review is somewhat lazy in my opinion.
I know you mentioned the head and the shield, but that's it. It'd be better if you do, maybe, a side by side comparison.

Yea Ben is bad in that department. Not having rulers to make size comparisons, just comparing with random items he has nearby.
Looks great, but transforming it, especially the legs/wings is a nightmare.
Only at first. Once you figure it out and transform it a couple times, it’s quite simple.

For Skybreaker, is the knee joint made out of Diecast metal?
I looked at product shots and it looks like it’s made out of plastic.
Skybreaker has less diecast than Dragoon. So probably its plastic and yeah it looks like plastic too.
It's diecast. I had to tighten them up with super glue and paper towel.
I'm glad I waited to get Dragoon, because I definitely like Skybreaker more. The light up eyes, better paint and detail, not so big. I just ordered mine.

Problem is it doesn’t look like megatron now. And it being smaller is a bad call. If your gonna do it you need to upscale. Just a bunch of bad choices here. Imo
Except the new head sculpt on Sky Breaker looks way more like TLK Megatron than Dragoon does.
And there’s literally no point in upscaling a figure that was already too big for most collections.
