I've said for awhile now that there really needs to be a better system for classifying these. For every dollar store cheapo knockoff, we now seem to get an upscaled, die-cast, painted reproduction of a previous company's figure. So many companies that started off making cheap reproductions seem to have upped their game and added so much more to their releases to the point now that Hasbro-Takara are quickly becoming the most overpriced and poorest quality releases on the market.
One thing I wanna try with this figure is to use megatron head with it. The body actually looks like the old megatron in some aspect. He even has the cannon
I am so glad I waited for this version. It looks amazing. Nitro Zeus is a pime example of what a ilm igure should look like. Imagine if this was the oiginal design or STARSCREAM from the very first film? I really hope Black Mamba recolour this as Shockwave, or even in some bright, super cool Anime-inspired redeco (Macross, Gundam, Evangelion, maybe a Gundam style "Zack/Zeon" version in red?). I also really hope they do an OSKO series of the dragon bots from TLK. Imagine a black dragon, with red heads, etc, as that combining version?
That's damn impressive. Puts the official one to shame, for sure. I'm still holding out for the third version of Rendsora with the new head (or at least a separate new head), and then I'm going to go all in on these. And yeah, it's sad that Nitro Zeus (and Cogman) are basically impossible to find for a reasonable price and yet we already have far superior KOs of those figures. I would have bought both the official and KO ones but nope, Hasbro didn't give most of us the option, so never mind.

Been trying to transform my KSi Boss/Zeuss for over a month (official) every part I get wrong, every time something clip in, another part pops out and nothing will line up properly. I officially HATE HATE HATE the transformation but love the robot mode, so will never transform it ever ever ever again. Thanks for the video as I got totally stuck on the second arm, very unintuitive, very annoying transformation - even watching the video I had to watch the upper arm/head bit like 5 times to figure out what the heck to do. you made it look so easy Ben. Last time I was this frustrted was AOE Leader Grimlock - still my most despised grabage transormation ever (and I never changed it back it again).
That panel above the left hand can be moved forward to cover that hand storage gap in robot mode. I saw another review of this figure and noticed that. Really like how they added it in. Helps make the figure more solid!
What about Bonecrusher? Will be great if they design a leader class of him, Bonecrusher for me and many TransFans is super cool villian we'll be loved of havin' that guy!!!
In vehicle mode I think MPM Bee is closer to scale with MPM Prime than Firage is. There's a pic floating around of all the original movie vehicles together and the Camaro looks pretty big next to the semi...
I got the figure and I'm scared to death to try and transform it into jet mode cause I don't want the leg to snap off if I try to pull it apart it's so tightly hooked together
I like both head but to be honest i think one head it suppose to be the AOE clone saw running around near the end while the other is the movie five head
The original is just sad from the lack of paint. Excellent custom fodder to be turned into Thunderwing though. This KO have MP level of paint and that's neat. Will they think of rerelease him as Thunderwing?

I noticed you switched out the heads between cuts during the transformation. Is it possible to totally transform him with the more movie accurate head?
Looking forward to their ghost version of this mold, just wish they would use a more tasteful, sophisticated looking colorscheme even if it's not accurate.
I just got one - it had a blue pipe too - seems to be the same pipe to the one DOTM Shockwave has only blue. Oh and I tried the Wei Jiang version of Highbrow's head and it's a perfect fit - OSKO Hardhead (Die Hard's) Head is a reasonable fit too. Terrific toy glad I bought it.

15:13 That jet is 100% not in-scale with that sportscar. That car should probably be about half the length, breadth, and height it is to be in-scale with the jet.

They didn't show any Bumblebee movie figures at toyfair, but it makes sense to show them with the Trailer or at Sdcc.
It's a shame we don't have a Takara version that is more different from this. This version reminds me of the more intricate SDCC TLK Prime paint apps.

The left arm with the sliding cannon does have a little flip over cover for the hole the hand leaves after transformation to clean that up.
I like to call good KO's fourth-party figures.
I've said for awhile now that there really needs to be a better system for classifying these. The alt helmet is dotm shockwave figure, which is technically accurate because in the movie im pretty sure its the same exact model

Nitro Zeus was the only character I liked from TLK and this might just tempt me, the Hasbro original is a bit bland.

youn can store the chain in the jet you only need to utabe the back port of the chain but not the other
