What an adventure! I regret for you this was more costly than expected. Using your wits and resources to complete the task is part of the challenge as humans. These are unique machines which I believe should be used uniquely. And that you do very well. It takes a lot of dedication planning and work to give us your gifts of wonderful footage. Thank you very much. Living the dream.
Do several touch and go landings laying and packing down a runway until it is firm before you come to a full stop for the first time on the uphill side. Even with straight skis and a plane that is the best way when going into a new area. Better yet leave it overnight and come in the cold morning it will be hard as cement. Denny
Great video. Would have been nice to take off again. I guess to much drag and could not generate enough speed. The lack of assistance from the shop was disappointing. I hope they are never in a pickle and need someone to be nice to them. Keep the adventure alive and Be safe!!
Well that was an expensive little experiment, I think the tyres were causing too much drag in the snow, despite the the snow skis, probably would be better without the tyres.
Landing on snow with skis , you must land and not stop. You first need to pack down the snow and make a run way , once you do that, you can land and make a full stop.
FANTASTIC!1 Nice going you guys! Great fun! Great memories and all safe! Beautiful little film....enter the film in the Banff International Film Festival!
rotors should be stronger and central connecting part also, the skis should be wider with higher tip, electric prerotation and coaxial rotors, stronger motor. But very nice electric street drive!
Whats the max hight a cyro can climb by density of air ???? Arent the horizontal rotors only passively turning ? Mont blanc summet is 4,807.81 m (15,774 ft) above sea level. U didnt use Oxygen like seen in videos of Gliders in the Alpes ? I suppose u dont have a pressurised cabin, right.
Nah, in some western parts of Europe narrow-mind is considered as virtue. If you don't walk around as if you had a steal ruler stuck where it hurts, you are ostracised and considered unworthy or even primitive. Offering any unsolicited generosity and friendliness, so typical for the the U.S. , some parts of Asia or post-soviet countries is beyond understanding of 99.999% of populations between say, Berlin and Paris longitudes. Just my experience of 15 years.
Downwash from the Helicopter blades. Couldn't tell, but it looked like the rotor teather was tied to the front rotor and the down wash on the rear caused the front rotor to fold near the mast. They both suffered the same damage, I believe. The teather was to prevent the rotor blades from rotating. But I wonder if they had had a swivel in the lift line would teathering the rotors been necessary. But then again, setting it back on the ground, under the flying helicopter, with a spinning set of rotors may have caused a whole new set of safety issues. Trying to drop the lift line with the rotors spinning would have been interesting. But, perhaps just setting the rotor brake would have nade that a non issue. I don't no. Just spitballing!
My humble opinion as to why the rotors bent is this: When the rotors are not in motion and are on the ground, they only slightly bend down because of the force of gravity acting on them. This force on the free end causes a leverage effect that puts the greatest stress on the rotor blade at the end where it is fixed. Even small forces on the tip of the rotor blade can manifest as a large force on the lever end. During transport, the force exerted by the air pressure on the free end of the rotor blade overcame the forces on which the rotor blade was built and the leverage effect bent it. It happened in both cases in the same way and it was also seen that the rotor blade that was turned backwards had no damage. How to solve it in the future? I propose two: The more actionable one is that the helicopter will help the gyrocopter to start on the spot. The Gyrocopter will have a fixing eye in the center of the rotor designed in such a way that the rotor can spin while hovering. The departure would then take place as follows: The pilot enters the cabin and prepares for the flight. The helicopter lifts it to the required height for the fastening eye only by vertical ascent. The pilot starts the engine, induces rotation, and after reaching the revolutions, the gyrocopter is released from the hanger and flies normally when falling. EQUIPPED! The second solution differs little from the way it was solved, only in addition, the end of the front rotor blade will need to be fixed stably. The simplest is a rope at a height of approx. 1 to 1.5 fixed on a hanging rope to create a triangle formed by the rotor blade, the supporting rope and the auxiliary rope holding the downward bending of the rotor. To make it safe even against gusts from below, I would also secure the end of the rotor with two cables to the wheels. The rear rotor was not in danger.
Great video of what could have ended very badly. Risking those expensive machines and their lives was probably not worth it in retrospect. They were lucky to have gotten out with their lives. I'd be embarrassed to share this video, but I guess that's what you do when you have more money than common sense. Sorry for the negative review.

You guys don't kid around. That is pure rugged adventure.

What’s a great trip ❤ nice edit to - love the drive along the road 🎉
Nice experiment. Should continue with other shapes of the skis - and when successful - try with pontoons for water too ;O)
Well that was an expensive little experiment, I think the tyres were causing too much drag in the snow, despite the the snow skis, probably would be better without the tyres.
Nice to see Pavel in a Gyro ! I know him from coupe Icare in France with the Paramotor brand Nirvana.... great Pilot !
This was a cool video. Exploration - problems and solution..
Beautiful video. Tks for sharing and the subtitles. ❤

I have no idea what y'all said, but, WOW, what an adventure 👍❤️👍
Well done guys. Very professional video. Great camera, editing and choice of music. Great work
Absolutely wild guys !! Beautiful photography of the mountains ! Altitude = Turbo power... brave to try them without one. 914 or better.
How do I earn the money for one gyrocopter like that? Best regards from Slovenija
I didn’t know you could drive an auto gyro without the prop turning
FANTASTIC!1 Nice going you guys! Great fun! Great memories and all safe! Beautiful little film....enter the film in the Banff International Film Festival!
😃 I love it, great video!
I can't measure the cost of this adventure, hahahaha, I think the helicopter rescue and the blade rotor were pretty expansive.
$ 24.000 !!!!
Nice video. Enjoyed it. Next time, take some ski wax with you. You might be able to lift off without a tow .
4:25 Difficult to judge height over white snow. Beautiful view of mountains.
Difficult but you guess learned something new... Appreciate
Minimal stick shaking amazing

that was pretty amasing.. but also probably not overly wise.
Beautiful video.
Such great quality video I love it
Take them through Mcdonalds Drive through

how do you mov the gyrocopter with engines off on the road? PROPELLER?no, rotor No so how on the road! thanks
Where did you get the electric drive motors for driving the gyro like a car?
Yeah, that really made me do a doubletake - WTF? I wonder how much weight they add?
Great adventure!!!
the air lander of thet day
Make one set out of two blades
Torquing up the bolt?
Why would anyone want to take a gyro up in those conditions?
Now that's an adventure 😀
didn't know a gyro can drive like a car - is it just your models or can every gyro do so?
it's our GYROMOTION. Look at Gyromotion.eu
why would they kick you out.. very strange

Solution: Clutch and pre-rotation feature.
MUITO BOM... TOP
Hope rescue costet not to much
koľko tak stojí trip ako toto ??
Can someone explain to me why the front blade is broken?
Because when it was attached to the helicopter the speed was apparently too much. At least that's what they said in the video

Because they asked a French guy to take care of it.
Waoo 👍💞❤️
