Squidward had an amazing character arc. Going from a narcissistic mediocre clarinet player acting like he's above everyone else to a selfless hero willing to stand up for those he cares about. Truly an inspiring character.

Funnily enough, these characters are canonically only a few degrees off from actually fighting each other. Omni-Man is in Mortal Kombat, which has Scorpion and Sub-Zero, who are also in Injustice. Injustice has the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who are also in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, a game in which Squidward is also a playable fighter. It’s all coming together.
Squidward is an honorable and brave guy. Despite the beating, he still won't let the CEO of Nickelodeon turn him into a spin-off show out of respect for Stephen Hillenburg.
One thing I've always loved about this is the groaning after Omni throws Squidward into the mountains genuinely sounds like a Squidward sound byte but it's actually just from the show and just fits incredibly well
Just because he endured those attacks doesn't mean it didn't hurt like hell for him. He'll recover fully but he'll be in so much pain for like 11 minutes.

Squidward knows that he doesn't have the physical strength to hurt Omni-Man, but his insane durability means he could hold him long enough for the others to come up with a way to beat him. Broken, battered and bloody, Omni-Man offers a way out but, in defiance of an alien god, this man simply says *No* Truly, Squiward's sacrifice will not be in vain. Cannot wait for when they release the Omni-Man vs Wizard Spongebob arc.

Going by Squidward's own survival feats in canon material, Squidward is basically indestructible. He may not be a strong fighter, but he's an unstoppable tank.

@\\ - Feel free to laugh. 😉 This is how I feel about a number of shows. Spongebob, Gumball, TTG, Family Guy and American Dad. Those are the only cartoons that, if I choose to watch them that is, makes me shake my head is disappointment and annoyance.

@InnerAgent - Buh, what do yah know? It did end. Well, they need to stop letting it hog all the air time and let other shows get a turn. I don’t hate Gumball, it was just too weird for me given how they mixed so many animations together and the reality bending shenanigans. I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. Plus there were points in time where it made me want to vomit. 🤢
