As a black male I can honestly say I have honestly been approached by security in the parking lot or just outside the store asking to see a receipt countless times. And I'm a clean cut guy, basically a computer nerd so I never sagged my pants and ect. I'm medically retired from the Army due to injuries sustained in combat. It happened before I joined the Army at the age of 19, happened while I was in the army a few times while in uniform. It's happened since I've been out of the Army. I'm from Chicago and have lived from the northeast to the southwest and being stopped by security has happened to me all the US and Canada. As a black male it's one of those things you just learn to live with and hope it changes.
I'm an network engineer was talking to my black coworker about some stuff and he mentioned how every time he gets pulled over 'the cop puts you in the back of the car or has you sit on the curb when he runs your license.' We live in Portland Oregon not "Shitkick Alabama" or "Sisterfuck Tennessee". I was clenching my jaw so hard my head started hurting. Same place, different worlds. I've been pulled over dozens of times in my life, never had to step out of the car. Never been hassled by a security guard... He dresses better than me and doesnt own a hoodie for his own safety. Meanwhile when I dress up I wear my clean hoodie.... most of the time unless its at walmart. Crazy country. I couldnt handle being black with all those relentless little things you have to think about just to not get shot by cops.
WhoIam IamNot Yup. I am a Hispanic female in Texas. I married a Caucasian man from Canada. He thought I exaggerated my stories when I shared with him about racial incidents, until we went to Wal-Mart. We bought something large that did not fit in a bag and other things. He held the large item and I was behind with the basket and receipt. As he passes the greeter, she smiles and tells him to have a great day. As I approach, the smile leaves and she asks me to show her my receipt. I yell to my husband, as he exits the double doors, "Babe! I'll meet you at the car! She needs to see my receipt but I dont want to keep from getting to the car undisturbed....without your receipt." He walked back and looked at her , shook his head and said, "unbelievable. " She ignored him.
Holy shit is this actually a thing in America? God damn that's rough. I got the joke instantly but is there some truth to this? do black people actually have to think about stuff like this to not get shot by some trigger happy cop? Duuuudeee...
Well I think up until he left that "something in the water" had a name and it was Jon Stewart! ;) He knew exactly how to spot potential and how to nurture it. No wonder they sometimes call him Papa.
He did, but it took a huge push for the show to start hiring more women and people of color. Glad the show stopping joking about being white, male and Jewish and started recruiting more broadly. Great talent all around.
Xineal I've used the circumstances of Vietnamese refugees coming to America as a comparison to modern fears of Syrian refugees. Do you think that is a fair comparison?
Oh, absolutely, I've made the comparison myself several times. I could hardly give a personal account of what it was like for my parents coming over, since I wasn't born in the thick of it, but they overcame a lot to ensure that their children made it through to college. The journey was extremely dangerous, my family had been separated for several years in the process, and they had to deal with many prejudices and stereotypes. There were similar fears of us stealing jobs or being hostile towards "American" morals/safety.
Xineal The most visible parallel I've seen is the fear that "the enemy" will sneak in. With the Vietnamese it was communists, with Syrians it's the terrorists. Of course, with both the fears are without basis. People forget the lessons of the past, and treat every new issue as if it were never faced before. America is strengthened by its openness to refugees, not by its fear of them.
Interestingly enough, the father of American Anthropology Franz Boaz got his start by measuring the skulls of Irish immigrants and their decedents to disprove popular racialist ideas. Specifically, he proved that the Irish did not _inherently_ have smaller skulls -- thus according to the thought of the day they would have less capability for intelligence -- but rather that smaller skulls were caused by malnourishment during formative years. The more generations deep the family, the better off the family got, the less their children starved. I'm just a Boaz fanboy geeking out over here...
That was the saddest part of the episode, about always leaving the store with the bag and receipt stapled on outside - black man's wisdom. A country we live in....
Tamara G every black child up to the early 2000 has been taught that. I got yelled at for coming home without a bag. It’s funny now but thinking the way a black mother thinks... sending her child to the store and getting a call they’re in jail or dead over not having a bag and being handcuffed or accidentally shot as you reach for the receipt ... I never did it again. Even now I request for a bag when asked. Sometimes I hesitate to say no thanks then one brief thought of my dear departed mother and I say yes I’d like a bag. Don’t want sympathy because life could be even worse but yes our lives can be that fragile.
Taxi DriverAppleChapel hopefully you're being sarcastic, but if you aren't, tell me about all the women he's insulted with his infamous sexist comments, the people he has shamed and embarrassed for being transgender, the soldiers he has so rudely talked to such as John McCain, Mr. Khan, and oh yeah- fuckin' everyone when he said and I quote, "And now we never win a war. We never win. And we don't fight to win."
Yep I try to get a bag for everything and if I can't get a bag I'm holding my receipt in my hand until I get in my car. I'm not touching my pockets at all and if I'm walking in the store I walk down the center and keep out of reach of all products and my hands behind my back like in elementary school. They can't say you stole anything if you can't touch it. Especially if you dont end up buying anything.
I can say I am not racist, but I will never truly know what is to be born black. The reality is disheartening and I could never compare any plight in my life with having to live in fear because of the color of my skin. I wish it were not so. I can only treat all men with respect and kindness. Thank you Roy for your honesty.
yeah, I know what it is to be a woman though. and black men got the right to vote before women did.. and we had a black male president before we had a woman of any color. So just keep that in mind..."women will be the last minority". Men, including Black men, don't see us as entitled to the same rights/expectations of life.
Afaf Benhara It is a Rich, white male class that established the hierarchy in this country. Women and minorities are both oppressed, but women are not a minority, they're half the country. Getting the "right to vote" on paper, and a black president doesn't not undo the effects of slavery, Jim Crow and a continually racist legal/justice system oppressing black and brown people, so you shouldn't try and lump all men together as if we're equally privileged compared to men. We're all in this together, against the rich upper class oligarchs that control the courts, government and business world, mostly old white men.
Debra The best thing you can do is spread awareness, stand up and vote for progressive change. Equity for minorities and women can only be achieved by everyone standing together against the rich rule-makers. Vote them out, and put people like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren in.
Debra Wiedenheft The fact that you empathize with your fellow man is more than most people do. When you see a person for who they are and not what they look like it brings fairness and balance to us all. Thank you for what you wrote.
Watch the Daily Show as much as I can and really enjoy Roy Wood's banter with Trevor Noah. Also had loved Hassan Minaj. ( Sorry did I spell his name wrong)Nice guys nice comedy.
That thing he said about Trump is the main reason that black people stay beside other minority groups, because we know that sooner or later, there's a small chance we might be next. And we don't want to take that chance. Plus, we know how it feels to be discriminated against, so we don't want that for other Americans
Forskolin, dearest, I'm a Mexican woman (so a double minority not unlike you) and I most assuredly have empathy for all of Gods children. I couldn't be alone on this. But I do understand your feelings. I get why you feel this way.
I went to Best Buy to buy a microwave and I asked the cashier if she could bag it lmao. She told me that they don't have bags big enough for that. So I walked out the store with the microwave and the security guard yelled at me. She had to vouch for me that I just bought it and she emailed me my receipt. So yeah. That bag thing is no joke for us. P.S. I don't believe the security guard was in the wrong. I'm just trying to illustrate the importance of having some sort of proof of purchase as a black person.
As a white woman I can say that I’ve never been asked for my receipt. I get the opposite from people, I get totally ignored. Can be a pain when you really need help, but I’m okay with it as it does have it’s advantages.
I thought I was the only one who did the bag thing. It sounds silly, but I never leave any store without buying at least one item, just so there are no problems
There are a lot of Europeans in the comments who are surprised at the bag/receipt thing, and are asking "what is wrong with the US?" But I live in the UK and was also taught the bag thing. I always get followed around stores in London. I may not be worried about getting shot, but shop owners and security always suspect you are a thief regardless of how you dress, how friendly you make yourself look, etc. I never put my hands in my pocket while in a store. If I think I may need my phone, I make sure to take it out of my pocket before I enter.
+curiousela1 I'm curious, if a black man in some other part of the world grew up also never having that thought cross his mind would that also still be a "white right" or just simply his right in your opinion?
Personally, I was like, "I never thought of that, but that totally makes sense...which is sad." We're white, so we don't need to think of that. I believe the term for it is "the invisibility of privilege." With respect to most parts of your identity (race, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, etc.), if you're in the privileged group, you don't have to think much about that aspect of yourself or how it affects people's view of you. That's just how it is.
InMaTeofDeath I didn't have that thought in my birth country because it's a Black Country, but when I came to THIS country I made sure to always walk out of the store with a receipt in my hands or in the bag that has my groceries. My mum is the person who taught me that rule.
I... didn't know that was a black thing. I always get a bag, and I am black... but I never put it together before. It's always kinda sad when I learn something I thought was just general knowledge, was actually a lesson in how to survive being black in America. Thanks family, I guess... now I want to know how many times that actually saved me hassle... or even my life.
Attention everyone shocked by the bag thing (including me btw): That's the divide caused by deep systemic racism. It's not too different from how certain cops act on "suspicion" alone, leading them to conclusions based on shallow thought like race. Broaden your horizons with respect to other communities, because even the slightest empathy will go a long way in time.
So true! I always, ALWAYS get a receipt. Even if it is just a piece of gum. I just now started not getting a bag on small stuff, but you better believe my receipt is being waved like a flag!
Felix Frühauf yes that is true. my mother taught me that by the time I was 7 and not to touch anything in the store unless you are buying it. I couldn't even look at an item closely without looking suspicious
Common it's not just USA. It happens in Europe too. I couldn't believe it when a lady at the counter in a pharmacy in uk asked me to wait because she had to keep an eye on the black woman because the security guard was on his break. when I asked what she meant she said oh you know these people you can never trust them. She was worried about the other shoppers just the black woman. I could hardly believe my ears . I never shopped in that pharmacy again.
"...b..but Obama said we didn't have to..." That joke was hilarious. Terrifying and horribly depressing in it's true-ness, but hilarious. Wow, my humor has gotten so dark these days... it seems to be what helps us cope.
Don't get so dark Kelly. Keep your light. Please don't let this administration take your light. We all as fellow Americans need to keep our light so we can see our way out of these horrifying years together.☺💗
As a North Carolina resident, I'm sorry to the LGBT community. If you want a welcome place in NC, come to Asheville! We're not so bad on this end of the state!
Just realized he's actually very well spoken and just puts on that act as comedy. When he gets serious, it's honest and you take that chance to listen and learn
Samatar Ahmed, I don't mean any disrespect to you, but please don't demoralize the great Martin Luther King Jr. by mentioning that "OREO & HOUSE NIGGA" Ben Carson's name in the same sentence.
Oh come on guys. Well you don't have to like my joke but I think as fans of these comedians its nice to see so many good guest features. TDS:w/Trever Noah x John Oliver (LWT) then earlier this week Jon Stewart on Late Show:w/ Stephen Colbert. Thats a great line up and hope it we see more ft. like these :)
The bag thing is so true. my mom taught me that when I was like 7 years old. I work at a store, and my co-workers always give me crap because even if I'm just buying a pack of gum, I ask for a bag. I also get nervous walking through those electronic alarm systems at the entrance and exits of stores. If someone is approaching one the same time as me, I pause for a few seconds and let them go in front of me. There's been times when other people walk through the same time as me and trigger the alarm, but I'm the only one that gets stopped. Being followed around the store while an obviously shady white person is left alone is also annoying.
What an awesome guy. I'm so sad that in this time, he still needs to explain racism to his child that will probably encounter it. As a middle aged white woman, I know that I have heard racist remarks and ignored them rather than argue. Not anymore.
No bullshit, my dad taught me to ALWAYS leave the store with a bag and a receipt. I’m a retired combat veteran. Even when I was wearing my uniform, especially when I was in civvies (civilian attire), I got a bag and receipt. I still do it today. If you know…you know.
"I TOLD you! No.. Right... Black People!! Come here!!" "Nooooo...." "Go upstairs and get my stop and frisk." "Nooo... Obama said we ain't haveta use the stop and frisk......Uuuhhhh..." LMFAOOOO
Oh I am a person of colour and I have experienced a lot of profiling. This security guard was trailing me all over the store .When I realised it I told him" why the hell are you walking behindme. My salary must be 6 times yours"The real thieves must be doing their thing while he was trailing me. At a shoe store the fair skinned Spanish guy insisted I put on a knee high stocking before I tried on a sandal. There was a fat nasty foot white woman there but he didn't require that of her. When I told him he said she doesn't have to but I had to.Mind you I have clean small feet because I always shower and clean my feet before I go out. Even at Macy's I was discriminated against.I went to buy Estee Lauder perfume. The white salesperson kept going from white to. Asian who did not buy anything from her.I told another person who helped me but yes I know about it all. Many of my colleagues have told me the same.
That bag part, though... Yep. It's something I practice myself. I *always*, almost without exception, get a bag and a receipt when I purchase something. The only exception is when I am in uniform (I'm an EMT) and I am buying food in-between calls. But even then, I *always* get a receipt and carry it in full view. I also make sure that my hands never goes into my pockets inside of a store except to get my wallet at the register. I'd say it's exhausting but honestly it's just normal at this point in my life. (Though it does still get irritating some.) I know I'm not the only one that does this, though. *smh*...
He's so right about the shopping bag. As a black person I NEVER leave the store without a bag and receipt. Even for a stick of gum. The struggle is REAL.
I am a Muslim and I truly appreciate the point he made it is true , if you don’t say anything cz it’s not happing to you just wait for your turn cz it will come it’s not matter of if it will come it’s matter of when it will come , Roy is without a doubt one the best Comedians of America always enjoy his comedy
Maddy Hall I agree, and it's so sad. As a Liberian, I really didn't connect it to being black. I have been stopped a lot of times but I thought it was because I am African, or because it's me....you know, I have been taking it personal. Little did I knw that it's a race thing and so it's because I am black. I almost got in trouble at Walmart like that with my cooler. I live in Arizona and we carry water around during the summer. So coming out of Walmart with my new purchases, which were even bagged, and receipts for them I had displayed, the security insisted that I produce a receipt for my cooler. Mainwhile it wasn't a new cooler. I had bought it from Fallas sometimes ago and had been using it for sometimes. So I tried to explain that it's my used cooler and even pointed at others who went by with similar coolers because of the summer. They said mine looked clean, therefore they were not sure. I said but I wash it every morning that's why it's clean. Good thing, when I opened it for them to see, there was cold water in it half way, then the securities were embarrassed, and let me go. That's just one instance. Believe me, I could go on and on here citing instances, bt I don't want to bore you. So I really agree with you that Roy last talk abt the bag is not funny. It's sad.
Roy Wood Jr. is funny. I don't deny that. The problem is that the new Daily Show is lacking the type of rapport that's essential for this kind of comedy.
I don't know about that. I was worried about the Daily Show after Jon left and even was influenced by some people's opinions. Then I saw it for myself, and I was awestruck. Not only was it as funny as ever, the minorities not available to the previous cast are taken advantage of in the best way possible. All the new presenters of the show are hilarious just like the old. Roy is just one example. If you find the new show lacking, that's too bad. One might miss Jon Stewart and the rest but I'll be able to say one day that I miss Roy, Trevor, Jordan and others when they leave.
borot man I never said anything about Trevor Noah, nor Jon Stewart. My issue is with the way the correspondents interact. They all seem like funny people in their own right, but they do not mesh too cohesively. SNL tends to have the same problem.
+borot man Dude, sometimes I really, really, _really_ miss Jon, but Trevor is the fucking man. I'm so happy that the Daily Show is still really good, even if it can feel a little weird to someone who watched the old show for almost a decade to have a different host. Trevor is not only funny, but intelligent as well, and some of his monologues tackling serious issues are up there with Jon's.
Jo Jo * I think you are dead on correct ! But that's a big problem because with that agenda the material has to be dumbed down to a point that it becomes brain washing for the rest of the viewers. very sad that people are entertained by this crap but it goes to show the steady decline of the critical thinker that is an endangered species now.
Oliver Marawueke Maybe you should come out of your one dimensional aversion to the fact that racism is still a thing and will be a thing until it ends.
Talking about how he and his community are affected by racism is not race baiting. He's using comedy as a platform to discuss things that matter to him.
Yes he does race bait. I don't deny racism is a big problem that needs to be solved. But his comedy routine exaggerates racist situations too much. He needs to expand his palette and find other ways to be funny than just playing on the crudest form of racial stereotypes over and over again.

We all need it to change and white people need to be confronting white racism-- it's up to use to confront it if our society is ever going to change.

The bag thing really struck me. Never would've thought about something like that
'Murica is so fucked up... -.-'
i always shows my receipt at the security when I got out of the mall, i'm used to it by now
yeah, I first don't understand what he means with "always leave with a bag"... and then; oh I see, guess I'am to white for that

I was raised to leave with a bag....
There must be something in the water at the Daily Show. Everyone of those guys have/has massive potential to do their own show

Roy Wood Jr has been amazing since he was a radio dj
James Burgess look up Roy wood jr prank calls their hilarious
Roy Wood Jr. needs his own show with his prank calls, stand up, and talk about life in Black America.
He is sooo getting his own show someday
Gabriel July It would be boring.
S. I. V. I may be wrong but from what I've seen so far his character at the moment is very 1 dimensional. Maybe few years down the road who knows
he's a skeptic. he deserves it. 🖒
Gabriel July He doesn't look anything like Roy Wood.
He is intelligent and funny.
"Go upstairs and get my stop and frisk!" I died!😂😖😆 Roy Wood is so underrated!
I laughed the way he said it, but deep down it just made me sad.
On the one hand, that was heartrupturingly funny. On the OTHER hand? It's heartbreaking, too.
TechAztech And that makes him a brilliant comedian. Makes you laugh and think at the same time.
"Obama said we don't have to" LMFAO I DIED

Seems that way....

All evidence seems to point to the countrary. The man all-but sanctions discrimination with every other action.
first they came for...
Holy shit!!! I noticed black guys always wanted a bag no matter how small the item was. I never knew that was why. Damn, dude
It's true, even when I buy cases of water I make sure they put that orange paid tag on it.
Yep I try to get a bag for everything and if I can't get a bag I'm holding my receipt in my hand until I get in my car. I teach my children the same thing.put it in a bag and give me a receipt. Hold the receipt in your hand until you leave the store.
"Staple my receipt to the outside like Chinese carry-out." That's classic Roy Wood Jr.
The bit about leaving all stores with a bag was real. I feel awkward as hell if I didn't find anything to buy at places and walk out.
KulushiMaxwell me too! Cause I can feel the eyes on me.
Exactly. You feel like you can't walk in and browse-like you have to buy something or they think you're trying to steal. Smh.

Unfortunately other minorities dont have the same feelings of empathy for us.
Forskolin, dearest, I'm a Mexican woman (so a double minority not unlike you) and I most assuredly have empathy for all of Gods children. I couldn't be alone on this. But I do understand your feelings. I get why you feel this way.
When are we ever NOT next? Those other groups have to stand on their own because there's never any reciprocity.
That's frustrating. Definitely have Best Buy print out the receipt for you.
Isaiah I definitely leave with a bag and make sure my receipt is showing. I always request a receipt to. I’m not leaving the counter without it!
I get a bag even if it's a charger plug.
But lesson learned for larger items. Make an employee wheel or carry it out with you.
"I don't believe the security guard was in the wrong". I would only believe the guard was in good faith if he wd do the same thing to a white person.
As a white woman I can say that I’ve never been asked for my receipt. I get the opposite from people, I get totally ignored. Can be a pain when you really need help, but I’m okay with it as it does have it’s advantages.
"Go get my stop and frisk"... Love it
I thought I was the only one who did the bag thing. It sounds silly, but I never leave any store without buying at least one item, just so there are no problems
I do that if I go # 2. Otherwise leave guilt-free.
I remember seeing Roy Wood Jr. on Last Comic Standing way back when and thinking he was really funny, glad he's getting more and more recognition!
France too.
So sorry about this. Shouldn’t be this way.
He seems like a very decent allround guy and he's funny to boot. I like him and I want to see more of him.
He's a correspondent on the Daily Show, so there's a lot of footage of him there
I'm a 27 year old white man and that bag thing has never once crossed my mind.
InMaTeofDeath. i am 37 now , same thing
InMaTeofDeath Enjoy your white right.
*peak blackness*
indeed peak blackness
I'd say so, Obama is gone, blacks won at the oscar. It's down hill from here with trump's ultra right policies.
You can see the moment Colbert breaks down in his eyes.
Francis Underwood He was shocked and rightfully so, it is an abomination!
✊🏾✊🏾😂
Attention everyone shocked by the bag thing (including me btw): That's the divide caused by deep systemic racism. It's not too different from how certain cops act on "suspicion" alone, leading them to conclusions based on shallow thought like race. Broaden your horizons with respect to other communities, because even the slightest empathy will go a long way in time.
So true! I always, ALWAYS get a receipt. Even if it is just a piece of gum. I just now started not getting a bag on small stuff, but you better believe my receipt is being waved like a flag!
WTF? He was being serious with the bag thing??? What's going on in the USA? Greetings from an incredulous European oO
Felix Frühauf yes that is true. my mother taught me that by the time I was 7 and not to touch anything in the store unless you are buying it. I couldn't even look at an item closely without looking suspicious
I was asked to empty my pockets at a store on Miami but I didn't know anything and did.
This is truth. I teach it to my son.
Im white, and I sometimes stuff things into my big purse so I dont have to carry them. Never occurred to me not everyone can do that.
The receipt has to be stapled to the outside of the bag...I've never heard of that before, but come to think of it, it's wisdom.
As a Raleigh resident, Asheville is such a lovely city, great people and great views! Raleigh's a safe place for LGBT rights as well!
Just realized he's actually very well spoken and just puts on that act as comedy. When he gets serious, it's honest and you take that chance to listen and learn
Donald Trump must think Ben Carson is the new MLK
Samatar Ahmed He doesn't know there was an original one, though.
Lol
Samatar Ahmed, I don't mean any disrespect to you, but please don't demoralize the great Martin Luther King Jr. by mentioning that "OREO & HOUSE NIGGA" Ben Carson's name in the same sentence.
Well dang! Tell me how you really feel!
Samatar Ahmed, oh God no. I can't even, MLK mentioned in the same sentence as Brainless? OH HELL NO!
"staple it outside like Chinese take out" lol
This is my favorite anime cross over.
That bag thing is so true
Roy Wood Jr. is truly a GEM of a comedian. His comedy is fantastic!
Don't ever stop Roy...we love you and your truth!❤️
✊🏾 *PEAK BLACKNESS* ✊🏾
😎
...Yeah! ✊🏻 Peak Blackness!✊🏻
dynamitejimi PEAK BLACKNESS
What an awesome guy. I'm so sad that in this time, he still needs to explain racism to his child that will probably encounter it. As a middle aged white woman, I know that I have heard racist remarks and ignored them rather than argue. Not anymore.
What we need is a 'Great Big Melting Pot'...just with no fukn Orange........
Thank you Colbert!
He is applying humour to serious reality for Afro-Americans.
Now, I have to find a clip of the barbecue in North Carolina incident.
The bag and receipt thing is so true
That bag comment is so sad but so true, my parents drilled that into me. It's become so natural, I forgot that it was a thing I have to do.
"ROY WOOD: Receipt? I got the Receipt right here in my pocket!"
SECURITY GUARD: "Watch out! He's going for a gun!" I DIED.
“You don’t leave the store with a bag”👀😂
“You know how frustrating it is for me to out yourself and you don’t even know you are gay and I out you for you”😂
My mother always told us growing up never leave a store without a bag. Because its no question.
Roy Wood Jr. is hilarious... Peak Blackness
Mr. Roy Wood Jr. is a diamond in the rough. God bless him & his family always!!!
man I really hope comedy central makes a new Nightly Show but with Roy Wood Jr.
B
ROY WOOD JR. IS SO AMAZING; BRINGS THE FUNNY & GOLD EVERY TIME.
Cannot wait for Father Figure!
Enterplies? They the ones on a 5 layer mission to make wiping a lint free experience?
ur profile pic triggered a reaction in my brain....I almost clicked it.
Roy Wood Junior is a gift to the world. Joy all the way
Roy is a funny man.
Watching 3 years later and he definitely called it
"Do you know what it's like when somebody out you for you?" Oh trust me Mr. Wood, Stephen knew that long ago.
Roy is Spot On! Can't wait to catch his special!!
LOL, Love Roy, dudes hilarious.
No bullshit, my dad taught me to ALWAYS leave the store with a bag and a receipt. I’m a retired combat veteran. Even when I was wearing my uniform, especially when I was in civvies (civilian attire), I got a bag and receipt. I still do it today. If you know…you know.
People a meme was born here,
His face after " the blacks love me"
I distinctly remember Roy Wood Junior's mustache being a lot bigger and shinier on his show "CP Time", but it's still great to see him.
"I TOLD you! No.. Right... Black People!! Come here!!"
"Nooooo...."
"Go upstairs and get my stop and frisk."
"Nooo... Obama said we ain't haveta use the stop and frisk......Uuuhhhh..."
LMFAOOOO
Oh I am a person of colour and I have experienced a lot of profiling. This security guard was trailing me all over the store .When I realised it I told him" why the hell are you walking behindme. My salary
must be 6 times yours"The real thieves must be doing their thing while he was trailing me.
At a shoe store the fair skinned Spanish guy insisted I put on a knee high stocking before I tried on a sandal. There was a fat nasty foot white woman there but he didn't require that of her. When I told him
he said she doesn't have to but I had to.Mind you I have clean small feet because I always shower and clean my feet before I go out.
Even at Macy's I was discriminated against.I went to buy Estee Lauder perfume. The white salesperson kept going from white to. Asian who did not buy anything from her.I told another person who helped me but yes I know about it all. Many of my colleagues have told me the same.
Love his message. He’s my favorite correspondent from the Daily Show.
"Bone Brothers BBQ!" lololololol
I found out about him the other day and I've been watching every video of him I can find.
(Though it does still get irritating some.)
I know I'm not the only one that does this, though.
*smh*...
Just Amazing! Great Job💪🏾👏🏽👍🏽
"Do you know how frustrating it is for my to out yourself and you didn't even know you were gay and I out you for you"
He's so right about the shopping bag. As a black person I NEVER leave the store without a bag and receipt. Even for a stick of gum. The struggle is REAL.
I couldn't find the bone brothers Barbecue video 😑
Austrian Woman it's on the daily show channel
Austrian Woman or comedy central
www.cc.com/video-clips/emmbcg/the-daily-show-with-trevor-noah-putting-north-carolina-s-anti-lgbt-law-to-the-test

Thank You Roy Woods Jr. Thank You.
I love Roy . Great guy . Check him on trevor's show
it’s 2020 and he called it
Damn he put it right. Seeing other minorities suffer sucks for the rest of us too.
Here is my receipt ...Oh he is going for the gun..! So funny and so sad!
He is Absolutely correct!
Enterplise
I love Roy Wood Jr.. He is spot on, straight up funny.
This dude is getting funnier day by day
wow...the sad thing is, there is truth to the bag lesson, with the receipt on the outside.
i love all god's children.
TheAmericanDrifter which god?
i am Emily and Abraham's child. Do you not love me?
I am a child of Chtulhu, The Sleeper of R'lyeh, do you love me ? ;(
Roy Wood, Jr.--you are hilarious!
Oh God.. that last comment he made was a bit too true to be funny
It's sad.
Maddy Hall alot of the best art comes from pain, darlin.
I had to rewind the stop and frisk line like 20 times...lol Hilarious
Trump doesn't give rights, God does, it is in the Constitution.
I like that receipt stapled to the bag thing. Will definitely share that!
Roy Wood Jr. is funny. I don't deny that. The problem is that the new Daily Show is lacking the type of rapport that's essential for this kind of comedy.
OldKing Cole 😂😂😂💯
I don't know about that. I was worried about the Daily Show after Jon left and even was influenced by some people's opinions. Then I saw it for myself, and I was awestruck. Not only was it as funny as ever, the minorities not available to the previous cast are taken advantage of in the best way possible.
All the new presenters of the show are hilarious just like the old. Roy is just one example. If you find the new show lacking, that's too bad. One might miss Jon Stewart and the rest but I'll be able to say one day that I miss Roy, Trevor, Jordan and others when they leave.
borot man
I never said anything about Trevor Noah, nor Jon Stewart.
Leave any store with a bag AND a receipt!
I like Roy Wood Jr. He's funny. But I think he needs to expand out of this 1 dimensional race baiting comedy.
Oliver Marawueke You think he race baits? How is having an opinion, race baiting? Maybe he should "shuck and jive" instead.....
He cited his fear of stop and frisk. I think most of what he said was valid.
Roy is so straight forward loved it.
His special is funny as hell. Dude is legit funny
Local African where is it?
ermasing on Spotify!
