Yeah I have heard mix his dad in his comedy; but I never knew that what his dad did for a living. This was a great show better than most comedy shows I ever heard!!! He had a very good set. Played to the audience and got laughs all across the board. I've never seen a comic interweave good storytelling, facts and humor all at the same time. Well done sir.

I'm confused, what was so special? It was good but not stellar. I get the impression that you are young and have only watched the last two or so. This guy was a "conformist" and in no way broke any barriers. In the past, there were people who obliterated party lines and totally stepped out of line.

I love Roy, but he was not honest about why a lot of people are against CRT. The overwhelming majority of people who are against CRT aren't against teaching black history, including the horrors of slavery. They are against splitting elementary school children up into groups and telling some of them that they are evil oppressors and others that they are perpetual victims. They also disagree with the notion that the only cure for past discrimination is present discrimination. Mainstream media loves to misrepresent this.

Roy Wood did a great job. Some of his jokes didn't get the response they deserved, but that has to do with the audience. He had me laughing throughout his full set.

You know how many history books now teach that the Natives simply shared the land with the settlers, and remove any shred of the battles fought between Natives and settlers. It removes the portions of American history that some would like to forget, but for those affected it’ll never be forgotten. They want race to a new a topic of discussion that disappears, because they want it to stop being a societal issue but that’s not how you resolve racism.

Roy is a funny guy and his tribute to his parents was touching. I appreciated his mentioning local journalists reporting on stories which become national stories and an important part of history. I'm 75 & began a 40+ year broadcasting career with a job in news radio. Roy was right about news reporting sometimes costing your job or even your life. My respect to journalists who are dogged in their pursuit of truth.
