We just bought one of these for my wife. Exact model. 2022, White LE-AWD. I think the vehicle is great. We've put 100 miles on it so far and averaging 48.5 mpg. Can't beat that. I do think that toyota has made some sacrifices to its "base model" that companies like Hyundai and Kia are ahead of. For example, this car doesn't even have auto headlights, theyre old school like my 1998 truck. You have to manually turn them on. Crazy, but theyre all LED, even the base model which is great. Also, I don't believe any Prius models in 2022 are eligible for remote connect except the Prime. So even at $30K+ theres not even a remote starter option. However, where they've eliminated bells and whistles on the base models safety features like Blind Spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and lane assist come with it, so I guess you be the judge on what you think is worth your money. Other than that, I think the car is pretty sharp.
40:04 the cup holders are easy to clean, yes, but then they put the electrical plugs right there where the spills happen? That seems like a terrible location for those outlets.
The 12 V battery is for the 12 v accessories only. The gas motor will be spun up and started with the Hybrid drive motor when needed. The Toyota design makes the car have smooth transitions from electric to gas and any mix.
