    Lindsay was a great force for Fleetwood Mac. He moved the band along in many great directions.

    Saw Fleetwood Mac during their most recent tour and was blown away by Lindsay's performance. Everyone was great, but Lindsay was beyond intense, and as passionate as anyone can be about their music.

    You're damn right Lindsey was at his (Mac) creative peak with Tusk. His songs are so interesting and counter to what Warner - and no doubt the band - would have wanted but he was on a different level at that time.
    It's interesting because Stevie and Christine's songs had his gentleness "pop" stylings, whereas his were unabashedly experimental.
    His hands guided everything they did between 79 and 87.

    Thanks so much for the vid...the more I listen & observe FM's music the more appreciation and love I have for Lindsey. The fact that so few realize just how much he did for that band's music makes him that much cooler in my eyes. It's the uncovering of truth that will eventually come out.

    Love! I get this whole video, very sweet! Love that beautiful musician, Lindsey Buckingham who can play a guitar like nobody else and "no pick" very unique style. Love his music and love his songs, I know so many of his lyrics to his songs, the words just get me because he is truly deep and "extremely talented"! When I was @ the show this past December I was truly in awe with his guitar playing and his voice. So was everyone else because some of those fans wanted his "sweat" witch I think he really, really got a kick out of it because he literally shouted out "they want my SWEAT"and I was so happy for him , being so delighted, I just had to shout out "we don't want your sweat, we want YOU!" Lindsey Buckingham! Of course I"ll take his sweat any day. I mean that with deep respect. It was just so very exciting to be there that night. A must see concert!

    Lindsey was the mastermind behind this golden era of Mac. To get fired is egregious...

    • @JesusGomez-ob2qt
      @JesusGomez-ob2qt 2 года назад +6

      He got fired because of the horrible person he is. He is one of the most talented people ever, but if you have a horrible demeanor, you will get the boot! As most jobs you are needed to provide a safe work environment. And Lindsey is a liability.

    • @joroberts7855
      @joroberts7855 2 года назад +7

      How do you know this for a fact Jesus? Lots of people who worked with them say Stevie was a lot worse to Lindsey than he was to her .

    • @JesusGomez-ob2qt
      @JesusGomez-ob2qt 2 года назад +3

      @@joroberts7855 Now that's a lie. Lindsey buckingham almost got fired countless times and is known for being difficult to work with. Ever since his first duo album with Stevie he had been difficult during their duo cover shoot and then when they joined FM John almost fired Lindsey for undermining everyone in the group. Aswell for Tusk he was almost fired again for the same reason- and then in Tango he tried to remove as much Stevie as possible from the album even going as far as redubbing her vocals with his. Not to mention every significant lover including his current wife have all complained about Lindsey's mental and physical abuse. Stevie has always been known to be a sweetheart and even was responsible for Starting her friends music career giving her a record label, collabs, interviews, music videos etc (sandy stewart) and has been talked about highly when worked with like on the set of American Horror Story for instance. This is all well documented stuff.

    • @joroberts7855
      @joroberts7855 2 года назад +3

      Im afraid your truth and mine are very different. I was absolutely trying to be neutral with actual truthful facts .I have spent years researching FM and much of what you have written especially regarding the threat of firing almost on a regular basis I have never found anywhere .

    • @JesusGomez-ob2qt
      @JesusGomez-ob2qt 2 года назад +1

      @@joroberts7855 I find it funny you say you are neutral with "fact checking" (you've clearly haven't researched anything in the bands history) yet you've obviously have been leaning onto Lindsey's side downright saying Stevie has been rude when all the things said about her have been positive as explained. Is her not helping sandy stewart get a music career a fact? Is Stevie not working on shows like glee and American horror story a fact? Is her not having good experiences with collabs such as lana del rey for instance a fact? The logic has clearly been thrown out the window...

    In both of Stevie's autobiographies it talked about how difficult the Tusk sessions were. Lindsay being very controlling of Stevie. Here you can still see Stevie sort of looking to Lindsay for approval even though he could be a controlling ass per her own journals. BUT her songs were not really songs until HE produced them.

      although it's true that he really was involved in her songs and produced most of them, without a song and a writer to compose it, he wouldn't be producing anything. don't give all the credits to him, it's takes two.

      Both books written about her were not approved by or agreed to by Stevie Nicks. They are like assuming things sensationalized like the Enquirer.

    • @Caroline-ms3kh
      @Caroline-ms3kh 2 года назад +8

      Firstly, Stevie didn't authorise those biographies, both of which sensationalise and make assumptions. Secondly, I don't see any controlling behaviour - only good collaboration from both. Thirdly, if there has been any controlling behaviour it came from Stevie in 2018 when she have the band an ultimatum. She had no right to do that and has dropped to rock bottom in my appreciation of her ever since. I only hope she grows up, stops being so stubborn and apologises before it's too late - they're both in their 70s now.
