Well, you know the old saying - "He who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client". As an aside, I went to look up who actually quoted that. Many attributed it to Abraham Lincoln, but apparently, that saying may go all the way back to 1682. Apparently there were other similar sayings such as one regarding physicians, such as "He that Consults his Physician, and will not Follow his Advice, must be his Own Doctor". I personally like this version : "A man who represents himself in court has a fool for a lawyer and a jackass for a client".

From the amount of equipment stolen and the money, this is probably a small incorporated entity or LLC. There are sole proprietors, and partnerships, where everything belongs to the proprietor(s). Then the victim is definitely a living person. If you are self employed, you want to incorporate for many reasons. If you are incorporated, your personal income and assets are protected from embezzlement. If you get sued, they are protected. The underlying question is: does the sovereign citizen believe in the concept of personal ownership? If so, then the sovereign citizen must acknowledge that "the people" do own public highways, public parks, and certain tax-paid services, and have the right to demand anyone using these things to follow the mandates and pay taxes when required. If the sovereign citizen does not believe in personal ownership, then anyone is free at any time to enter the sovereign citizen's* house, sit on his sofa and watch his TV.
*Technically, it would not be the sovereign citizen's house since there is no "ownership".
