I was looking for a new daily trainer to replace my Ride 15s. I came from the Velocity Nitro 2’s and looks like I’ll be stepping back into those. Thanks for the review.
I am with Nick. I ran 2+ miles in a demo pair at an Adidas event during TRE-2023 and I was a bit disappointed. I felt little to no bounce and I am surprised Mike says this shoe is bouncy. Dreamstrike+ is rumored to be PEBA foam but compared to my Endorphin Speed 1/2/3 or even Mach X that I tested this shoe did not give back. It might be PEBA/EVA or TPU blend. In fact my pair of 2017 Supernova Boost (successor to Supernova Glide 8) was more bouncy (my first marathon shoe). The upper is overly thick and plush and the shoe definitely felt heavy on the feet. I think that EVA rods in the bottom is nerfing the performance of the shoe. Personally, I think Boston 12 is a better value. Also PUMA Deviate nitro 2 could be a better alternative. That said, the shoe looks cool. When there are discounts I might get a pair for daily causal use or for running a couple of treadmill miles at the gym and for general gym use. Adidas still doesn't have a good performance daily trainer.
Was Altra fan, but they're becoming less wide, less durable, and no evolving tech. I have duck feet so my only other options are vibram ff's, hurraches, or soon to try Topo. I've never understood these pointy running shoes. Horizontal climbing?
The SuperNova, the recent models, have a very snug fit in the forefoot where I would have to buy a full size up from what I usually use with Adidas and Adidas Adizero shoes ! Hopefully, they fixed the fit of those shoes .
I personally pass over both. Adidas still doesn't really have a good daily trainer. Look at new Saucony Ride 17 or Triumph 20/21. Triumph 22 will be coming later in the year with PE?BA based foam. They are better shoes than this one. If you want a performance trainer with PEBA foam and carbon infused (relatively flexible) plate look at PUMA Deviate Nitro 2.
I can’t believe there was no comment about the outsole on wet surfaces. It’s like a snowboard on a snot-covered cookie sheet. The slickest shoe I have ever run in.
your heart rate never went beyond 140 at that fast pace!! amazing

Looks like it’s classic adidas shape that requires your big toe to be in the centre. If there was an Altra opposite, it’s Adidas.
More like puma

Mike, did you use all the eyelets for a good lock down?
I’m a Supernova Plus user. Should I go for this or Adizero SL as my new daily trainer?

If this is more like puma liberate nitro... Then the price difference is spot on
Liberate Nitro is a lightweight shoe. This is a heavy plus shoe. I would do track workouts with Liberate, this is just an easy day shoe.
First..I like the shoe and all around good.
Don't even see it on their site.

At 8.40 they speak about exactly this? Did you watch the video? "No comment" my arse

From Adidas, pronounced: uh·dee·duhs
No, uh-dee-duhs is the Anglicized pronunciation. He is using the proper German pronunciation.
Uh dee duhs is definitley not german way to say. American marketing department might say it that way
Do some research, dude. 😅
