- This is my review of the Faber Castell pitt artist brush pens. I will show you how they work and give you my opinion on whether or not they are worth it. I talk about how they fray quickly but I just found out that you can flip the nib around so that helps a little! If you have any other questions about them, please leave them in the comments! I hope this helps you decide if these brush pens are right for you! #handlettering #brushpen
This is a new series I'm doing called Letter With All The Pens where I will be reviewing every brush pen that I have. Find the hashtag #letterwithallthepens on instagram for daily posts or follow me @ensigninsights.

You make it look so easy! I just bought a set on clearance at Michaels, and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get clean lines! I’m happy with my thin upstrokes and thick downstrokes, it’s the transition between the two that I’m having a ton of trouble with. I’m not sure that practice will make perfect 😂
Oh that’s tricky! It depends on so many things! These pens are pretty firm but bouncy so if you’re doing a really thick downstroke it might be hard to get a smooth transition. Make sure you start lifting the pressure of the pen before you hit the bottom of the curve. There are other things too so maybe try different pens and different things with your pen! I hope some of that helps!
They do NOT fray quickly!! My black is the most used and I have had it for 4 years and used a lot and is only just now fraying!! These pens are awesome.
I do agree these pens are awesome! I’m glad you had that experience with them!
Can i ask how much is that pens
Enjoy useing the Faber Castell love the sturdy lightfast colours thanks for sharing! Also they are double barreled (reversible nibs). They tend to fray sometimes. You're one of my favourite handletterers so artistic ! :)
The Wandering Writs Thank you for being here! And yes although they fray, maybe it makes up for it in being able to flip them around!
Your voice is so soothing 🤤 you have great reviews! I’m shocked you don’t have more subs
Aww thanks for saying that!! I’ll just keep sharing lots of value! 😊
I have a full set of these pens and they do blend beautifully. I love them. You just have to know how to use them.
i love this pen sooo much!! its kind of stiff so its very easy to control for me.. its a little pricey but worth it!! if you have small hands too, try these! i recently got a few tombows but they are HUGE, so its a little wonky to work :(
I agree with you! These are great if you don’t like large brush pens!
Your writing is fantastic. Do you have any tips for amateur brushletterers?
You literally earned a sub and like with your video, helpful and professional. ❤️
Aww thank you for being here!
I'd gotten a black one a while ago and it's my least favourite brush pen I've used so far. I used it on printer paper and it frayed in 2 days and is now not usable for lettering. I was very disappointed. I love Faber-Castell as a brand and most of there products still and I did like the ink!
Yes!! I know exactly what you mean! They fray so quickly! But you can flip the brush tip around, but even then it gives you a couple more days 🤷♀️
Maybe because you should not use it on a printer paper. Most of the brush pens must be used on smooth paper.
@@yohello6799 the printer paper I use is very smooth and high quality
This pens are awesome when you have a lot of practice. Like hers... but if you need to buy them for your personal collection it is an excellent choice.
The tip is literally reversible
Best ever way of introduction
I think it s very cool and awesome!! I should buy it.(ı bought)
I’m a beginner at calligraphy, and I started using this brand, and I personally think that they are too flexible or too stiff which makes it very difficult to write think strokes. I’m trying to buy a tombow dual brush pen. What are you opinions?
Yes, theses pens are not great for beginners, I would not recommend the dual brush pen since it’s also kind of flexible. I wouldn’t recommend flexible pens for beginners since it can be hard to control so I would recommend the tombow fudonosuke hard tip brush pen since the tip is a bit more hard not super hard but still very good.
Yasmine Karkouch i totally agree!! Its really hard to get thick down strokes! I am a beginner and i find the lighter tombow colours easier to control than the darker colours- not sure why?
If you are a begginer you should get Artline stix because it is more stiff and easy to control. It comes in many colour although the black is a bit transparent.
Would love to have a link to the exact pens used. I'm an absolute beginner and trying to order online is a pain. I want a pen that bends, brush pen. But Faber-Castell website doesn't really show me the different types. Hopefully I'll choose the right one, but it would been nice to have some code or name or anything to be able to differentiate them.
BEST. DRAWING. PENS
Faber castell has this 30 set bullet pens which I thought would be great for lettering
Wow ure voice is really satisfying 😁😁😅😅🤣
Can you do a more detailed review of these brush pens
Hey there! What are your specific questions about them?
Just like how much you like them and how they bleed and blend, the colors, do they fray easy, can you blend with water and other stuff
I have some of these but can’t seem to get the hang of them especially compared to others
They are more firm so they can be tricky especially if you prefer softer brush pens!
Does it stay on glass or plastic surface? Or it will be erased easily?
Can we use these brush with anime drawings? And these pens are are able to blend with pencil colours please tell BTW thanks❤️
Pourrais-tu me dire quel papier as-tu utilisé pour cette présentation ?
Could you do an ohuhu brush pens? ( ohuhu is a brand )
I bought these and rushed to the brush pen and tried calligraphy
But..
.
.
.
It looked like it came out of the garbage.
ShyFetcher how are your calligraphy now?
Could i use it on a thermic paper to delete ? For example the white colour ?
That’s a great question! I haven’t tried it so I don’t know! It would depend how opaque it is. I have seen some people use the white on black paper so it’s worth a try!
It’s a shame these type of felt tips fray so quickly. When they are sharp (the first 30 minutes) they are the best pens ever.
Totally!
But they have another pitt
Are they good for beginners??
Yes definitely!
How much is that
Google
SB is better
Thi Kim Chi Do no!!!! no no no no the faber castell sb is horrible! i hate it soo so so so so much. you cant get any up strokes and it’s WAYYY too soft for me. but if you like it, you do you lol
BRUSTRO metallic brush pens are way better
