    1st Enoch Chapter 40
    1 And after that I saw thousands of thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand, I saw a multitude 2 beyond number and reckoning, who stood before the Lord of Spirits. And on the four sides of the Lord of Spirits I saw four presences, different from those that sleep not, and I learnt their names: for the angel that went with me made known to me their names, and showed me all the hidden things. 3 And I heard the voices of those four presences as they uttered praises before the Lord of glory. 4,5 The first voice blesses the Lord of Spirits for ever and ever. And the second voice I heard blessing 6 the Elect One and the elect ones who hang upon the Lord of Spirits. And the third voice I heard pray and intercede for those who dwell on the earth and supplicate in the name of the Lord of Spirits. 7 And I heard the fourth voice fending off the Satans and forbidding them to come before the Lord 8 of Spirits to accuse them who dwell on the earth. After that I asked the angel of peace who went with me, who showed me everything that is hidden: 'Who are these four presences which I have 9 seen and whose words I have heard and written down?' And he said to me: 'This first is Michael, the merciful and long-suffering: and the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael: and the third, who is set over all the powers, is Gabriel: and the fourth, who is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel.' 10 And these are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits and the four voices I heard in those days.

      Well the words of the Cherubic Hymn are worship… the same words no matter what tune is used everywhere in the World is the same at every Liturgy.
      "Let us, who mystically represent the cherubim and sing the thrice-holy hymn to the life-giving trinity, lay aside all worldly cares, that we may receive the King of all, invisibly escorted by the angelic hosts. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia."
      We don’t read the book of Enoch or Revelation in Orthodox services.

      基路伯頌(Cherubic Hymn)
      ( Kadosh / Sanctus / Holy
      “聖哉!聖哉!聖哉!萬軍之耶和華;他的榮光充滿全地!” 以賽亞書6:3
      “聖哉!聖哉!聖哉!主神是昔在、今在、以後永在的全能者。” 啟示錄4:8 )
      2)當下,讓我們-放下人世間一切的、一切牽掛。
      讓我們-奧妙地-彰顯基路伯(Cherubim),向施與生命的聖三位一體,唱聖三頌(Kadosh / Sanctus / Holy)。

    I'd like to know how to speak Chinese, which I'd probably like going to China and help teach and exemplify the faith. I'd need some Chinese Bibles translated from the KJV. Understand, the KJV is what I learned from so am familiar with, despite all I've forgotten.
    It's been my understanding the Catholic Church had tried to evangelize China but were sort of forced out. Which if it were really God's will, I wouldn't need to learn Chinese, he'd simply give me that ability. China is said to be a wonderful country. I believe it. Which we're all united by Christ.

    • @As-the-hart-42
      @As-the-hart-42 5 месяцев назад +2

      Sometimes God's will is for us to learn things slowly and not for Him to just grant it to us! If you believe God is calling you to do so, learn Chinese! Also, it should be translated from the originals, not from an english translation like the KJV. The Bible has already been translated into Chinese. But they do need more people evangelizing!

    • @richardmohr9428
      @richardmohr9428 Месяц назад +1

      Read about Christianity in China, Bible translation and so on before you go. Learn from those that have already been there. Too many foreign Christians have gone there without knowing any history and thinking that they can just wing it. That is not a wise approach.
      There are open Protestant and Catholic churches there. There's also an Orthodox church in Harbin, the church where I first attended liturgy in early 1986. Eventually, I became an Orthodox Christian. The liturgy and other services were translated into Mandarin for mission churches in Northern China that are gone. As far as I know, the Chinese Orthodox Church in Harbin still uses Church Slavonic for the services. That was the case in 2010 when my daughter and I visited. At that time they did not have a priest. Now they do.

      @@richardmohr9428 Sounds like a good story! May be more where it may not been easy but, you are of faith so it’s all good. Are you in the U.S. now?
      You have had to hear of St. John Maxivovitch, of Shanghai and San Francisco?
      How difficult would it be to learn Mandarin Chinese talking then maybe reading by chance?
      I still recall a teacher from grade school saying English is the hardest language to learn. Where I’m guessing you might have some insights.
      Anyway, thank you for commenting, it was a pleasure to hear your story! I suspect there’s more you simply haven’t included, which may be interesting reading. Author of “The Latent Powers of the Soul” by Watchmsn Nee, was from China, where he had to pay for his faith where he was imprisoned! Which makes me guess you had experiences too maybe not as drastic but could have been easier! Then I mention where given you’re from the same country, it may be an inspiration to know of Watchman Nee might be inspirational. Abe’s, ThriftBooks, Alibris, even Amazon and possibly eBay has his books at cost of a few dollars, maybe cheaper too as sometimes others are just wanting to clean out, so they give it away as to a charity or sell it for Pennie’s on the dollar on used book stores!

      You know many come from a different country, often they’re respectful and such. Th Ed n in a matter of time, they lose the qualities they had as a person, their children really lose it, except in some cases!. I think because of comments that all Orthodox Liturgies follow the same pattern (I am not speaking about Oriental Orthodox).
    I don’t speak Mandarin but I would pretty much know what is going on in the service especially when the Cherubic Hymn is sung because there is a great procession with chalice and bread (patten) down the middle isle to the altar.
    There are many beautiful Cherubic Hymns but this is the ONLY place they are sung. Nowhere else.
    Other songs and chants have their space in the Liturgy also.
    Benedict Sheehan directs on RUclips singing the Cherubic hymn and the entire liturgy in English if you’re interested.
