Those two HAD IT in The Bodyguard. The chemistry was there. The love was there. Hearing his heartfelt speech at her funeral was just... heartbreaking. He loved her DOWN.
What I love most is that I read Whitney and Kevin became good friends even after the movie. Her family asked Kevin to speak at her memorial which spoke volumes.
The Bodyguard is such a fantastic film. Whitney Houston is probably one of the best musician turned actor/actress i've seen. And her songs for the film were iconic. The radio at my retail job still regularly plays 'Queen of the Night' and 'I will Always Love you'.
I loved me some Kevin back in the day 😅! I've always heard stories about Bobby getting jealous over how protective Kevin was of Whitney and his relationship. Long live Nippy 🎤💜!!!
I got some tea today I never knew Diana Ross was in a relationship Ryan O'Neal 😳. Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston were the perfect duo for this movie. Both were attractive and in their prime. R.I.P. Nippy ❤❤❤
I remember watching this film at the cinema when it first debutted and LOVED it. Whitney was such a-GORGEOUS-woman and a-HUGE-star back then. I also remember her in the movie-The Preachers' Wife ( viewed this film so time ago and it doesn't hold up very well ) LOL. Glad Whitney didn't do those nude scenes tho. Good job on the retro-video,learned a lot.
Whitney was an absolute jewel. Abstractly speaking, she was never as good an actress as she was a singer BUT this movie was top tier because of her and Kevin’s chemistry. Sometimes its not so much the strength of the actress by the right creatives colliding on the right project.
@@JuicyPopEntertainment And in "Queen of the night" Whitney sampled Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana" the lines of the first lyrics of the song is in her chorus
I love the bodyguard. I haven’t seen it in a while, but because I was in high school and maybe didn’t have the discernment of an adult I loved it. It will stay in my heart.
@@JuicyPopEntertainment11:31 was bad timing to release while Aladdin and Home Alone 2 release at the same time. The acting was solid. Critics were harsh to Costner and Stallone.
Whitney and Kevin had great chemistry. Kevin Coster is a real one. Why do men trip if their woman is performing or with actually with another man, but have no problem messing with other women? Make it make sense
The Bodyguard:Forever A Movie Classic And Classic Soundtrack…..Idk if it’s true or not, there’s gonna be a bodyguard remake….I’m praying please don’t let there be a bodyguard remake….it’ll be disrespectful if they made a movie remake of the bodyguard…..RIP Whitney Houston……
Kevin wanted Barbara Streisand to take the part at first. She declined. That part was Whitney’s. She lost her baby during production. The movie wasn’t great, but the acting and chemistry of the leads made the movie. Elvis Presley wanted to sing I Will Always Love You before. Dolly Parton said he wanted the rights to the song. She said no. Elvis never sung it. Whiney did and Dolly Parton smiled all the way to the bank.
@3:30 Scrutiny and ???? Someone please teach me this word or phrase. I watch this channel all the time and I’ve never heard this phrase in my life. What does it mean ?
It is a basic love story, quintessential chick flick. Looking back, at the political racial mess of the USA, I can see the controversy and really only the actors at the top of their commercial game could pull it off. The film helped KC to possibly have some sex appeal and WH to potentially be able to act. That aggressive Queen of the Night song came in handy a few times though.

I only recently heard his speech and it broke me down😭
One of the most HEARTFELT eulogies.... 😢 💔
If she married him,
She probably wouldn’t have spiraled as she did and still be here 😔
What I love most is that I read Whitney and Kevin became good friends even after the movie. Her family asked Kevin to speak at her memorial which spoke volumes.
It's a shame that they never got married. But it felt too much for Whitney
This film is proof that patience pays off.
Saw this in theaters when it came out and still a classic IMHO.
R.I.P. Whitney Houston
2:35 Whitney was just launched out of nowhere in 1985. It was very significant. Kevin was just finding his way to stardom.

Ryan O' Neal was dipping in chocolate! Love it!!!
OK. I didn'tknow that.
One of the greatest romantic films of all time. Never gets dull, old, or boring.
The Bodyguard is a classic movie!!!
Whitney’s face card was UNLIMITED, Honey!
KEVNEY forever!!! Glad people are starting to figure it out😉
Kevin Costner should get BET lifetime award. He always stood up black people: (the bodyguard, hidden figures)
He had the biggest crush on her yall. The chemistry was real and bobby was pissed 😂
😂😂😂
Whitney should've married Kevin!

Frank eating that nectarine while beating Tonys ass is my favorite scene. RIP to my Queen Of The Night ❤

I and many others in this World full heartedly agree with you! This has been suspected for many years now.
Whitney: You better lay low!
Me: I'm dead 😂. Although B. Brown was feeling some type of way during the movie.
Bobby had some nerve. He was a serial cheater with multiple kids…
Bobby had an outside child who was born months after Christine and Whitney still stayed. Smh

This was Whitney at her absolute peak. I actually really liked her in The Preacher's Wife years later but it never reached the same heights.

I heard a story that diahann carroll was supposed to be rachel in the 70s afta ms boss turned it down
TLDR: It's her body double. Whitney already went home.
