Hello everyone and welcome back to Brink of Speed. Today, I will show you how to install a must-have from ACS Composites for your C7 Corvette. This brand new Rear Facia Extender will look great on your Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1. Take your C7 Corvette to the next level with this mod! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
That color is FANTASTIC...!!! I can't get over how good it looks...!!! I truly love it. I have yet to be a Corvette owner, but I've been trying to figure it out and think I've finally decided what I want to do. A couple years ago, I almost bought a C6 for 35K but backed out before I sent the Check. I was going to fly out and drive it back. I really didn't feel right about not driving the car before I made a final decision about buying it or not, and couldn't make up my mind whether or not I would fly out to test drive it then drive it home, 2000 miles or so, sigh... I know, I could have had it shipped out here too. Well, I didn't do it. BUT, I've now pretty much made a decision to buy a new C7 2019 Grand Sport locally. Black on black with the typical Grand Sport options, unfortunately without the Manual transmission, but the cost looks like it'll come in about 60k. Not too bad given the options. Now without going off about all my reasoning behind the why's and wherefores, I really wanted the new C8, what being mid-engine'd and all, I think Chevrolet has produced a winner. However I think I would really be happiest with a Z06, In the long run, which most likely won't be available for another year to year and a half for the average buyers. That being said, and buy being tired of NOT having A Corvette, Like I've been wanting for many years now. And I'm NOT getting any younger either. So as I'm 66 now and so, decided to pick up this Grand Sport as an "Interim" motor, and consider trading it in on a new C8 when/If it comes available in the color I REALLY want, which is the color Blue you're sporting around town in now. BTW, The rock guard is nice looking which I have on my list of add options I will add when I pick up my new car. The diffuser addition looks good too. Adding the front splitter is on my list too, as well as the high wing. I didn't realize, until I looked at the base Corvette next to the Grand Sport that the bodies and wheel sizes are wider and bigger..:-) gotta love that. So, since the numbers and availability of cars to pick from continually decrease, the deals continue to get better here with the local dealers, making the purchase of a C7 much more attractive. Essentially pushing me to bite the bullet and go ahead and get the C7 so I can drive it until I can swing the C8, because I do really, REALLY, want one...!!!! Unless, LOL, I fall in love with the C7 and opt out of the C8 then. Which is exactly what I did when the twin cam Harley Davidson came out and I bought the '96 Road King which was two years old at the time and was waiting for the new model motor(Twin Cam Engine) was just being released and turned out to be a great new motor for Harley and I opted out to NOT take delivery of the 1999 Road King and ended up waiting until 2008 where I sold the '96 RK and bought a two year old 2008 Road King in 2010 which turned out to be a much better deal in the long run. I still own the '08. So sometimes the first deal isn't always the bbest deal, but you never know till ya get right in front of it, I suppose. Sorry for dragging on. With any luck I'll get that Grand Sport and I too will join the ranks of Vette owners. Keep producing your videos. You have great content and I love the subject matter.
Hey Mike, They look great and adds more of a finished look now all you need are the rear xl rock guards. It's so cool to see that friendship between to of my favorites stay strong. Great video.....
I think you need the extended rear rock guards to complete that. looks pretty good though. I'm kind of picky about adding anything to narrow body C7. Looks good on Z06
@@BrinkofSpeed Btw nice meeting you at Carlisle. If you remember I'm the one with the Watkins Glenn grey convertible and we discussed how everyone who owns a ZR1 for sure needs to take the Spring Mountain course.
My Brother has ordered a C8, with Museum Delivery, in Elkhart Blue... and I am HOPING to be able to purchase a ZR1 {perhaps even a convertible} also in Elkhart Blue... and I will definitely want to add these protective pieces...
Without extended splash guards, looks like you will catch alot of sand or dirt between your paint and, the back of that new piece. You need both, not just that.
I bet those plastic push pins, for like the wheel wells would work just as well. Seems to permanent with a rivet. None the less, pretty simple nice little mod.
Please never post a video with a car on Ramps downhill ever again. Young Folks will attempt and could possibly die. You have a nice clean garage , please use it or attempt to do any work on leveled concrete. Nice z06, good mods, love the color. But above all these awsome things its safety and that's a fail. Thank you

Kevin Gay Thank you 😊
Hey Mike,
They look great and adds more of a finished look now all you need are the rear xl rock guards.
It's so cool to see that friendship between to of my favorites stay strong. Great video.....
PR 65 Juan, I’m so glad you like them. The XL rear guards my be in my future 😉 Yeah, Clarence is a great true friend! Thanks brother!
Agreed. I have the FRONT and REAR ACS XL Rock Guards, along with the extensions you just installed. They look great on the C7.
I think you need the extended rear rock guards to complete that. looks pretty good though. I'm kind of picky about adding anything to narrow body C7. Looks good on Z06
Roastum1 USA Those may be coming next...who knows? 😉
Great video! ACS is the best! I have the front and rear rock guards on my ZR1.
Pierre Tourney Thanks, they sure are! Those are great products!
@@BrinkofSpeed Btw nice meeting you at Carlisle. If you remember I'm the one with the Watkins Glenn grey convertible and we discussed how everyone who owns a ZR1 for sure needs to take the Spring Mountain course.
Pierre Tourney It was great meeting as well. Yep, I remember you. 😊
NICE CAR...THE REAR FACIA EXTENDERS MAKE THAT AREA LOOK WAY 2 BUSY...BETTER WITH IT OFF...THATS JUST MY OPINION..
Good video and music too lol! I like those on your car.
I liked the video and the ACS parts are nice!
nice thx
BEAUTIFUL BLUE FURY
GENE PINKARD Thank you sir! 😊
nice cool mods that makes your vette look very complete
Awesome additions for the c7.👍🏾💯
youngestson 65 They sure are 😊
Must be nice to have all your mods given to you us working people have to buy that high price stuff
Did you have to paint the 4pc acs diffusers black to match the rear bumper? Or is that how they come ?
kevin bettencourt No, they come in carbon flash black. They match perfectly. 😊
Liking those. Might have to pick up some.

Nice, are you going to get the wide rear mudflaps???🎬🎥🎤🏁🏁🏁👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks, I sure am!
Cool neighborhood and neighbors
Should have used 3M double faced tape in stead of the riveting them on.....
James Stegbauer Na, it’s stronger this way and won’t have to worry about water ruining the tape.
I bet those plastic push pins, for like the wheel wells would work just as well. Seems to permanent with a rivet. None the less, pretty simple nice little mod.
What ramps are you using? They don't look like the super pricey low profile ramps on Amazon....thx
What kind of tires do you have on the rear of your car in this video?
You crazy for riveting those in there lol. Just use 3m or even plastic trim fasteners so you can remove if needed.
Hey on the rear defuser fins,do they stick on?
John Friday No, you have to drill holes and screw them on.
Thank you for sharing that #1 must NOT have. LMAO. Love you car though. I iz jealous for sure.
Nice thumbnail! 🙌🏻
mercvettemerc717 MVM717 I knew you would love it 😊Your Car is a perfect example of what you should do to your C7 👍👊
I like them but why didn’t you put the mudflaps for the rear in there the extra wide
Love the shirt!!!!!
Love it
YUP I did mine, Great look?
Also, at 6:40 into the video, Is that Bruce Willis behind. you? :)
I have the xl rock guard front and back 2019z51
eric Black Awesome!
I guess you talked to Justin because they sent him the same thing.
Kirk Endicott Actually no, I talked to Joseph, the owner of ACS at Carlisle. He said they would send them to me 😊
The bit is 3/16”, not 3/8”!
AZLambo Lol, Yep, whoops.
Thank you
Sorry, the CGarnerSpeed252 link you provided goes to a channel that no longer exists.
Skip to 4:00 for the item -rear facia extenders. Install at 6:30. You're welcome.
I didn’t drill I used 3M tape!
Jim Orr Yeah, I could have used that but I didn’t see a reason to. With the rivets, they will never come loose.
I think u met a 3/16 bit not 3/8.
Kirk Endicott I did mean that lol
Great if you got them for free, if not, I'll keep my money for gas!
If I was getting it free I would put it all over my car I had to buy minds
eric Black I hear ya. 😊
Brink of Speed I mean it’s true I had to buy all that high price stuff
eric Black Yeah, I totally understand, it’s not cheap stuff at all.
Sorry but I will not put this on my Vette! Does not look good at all! Just my opinion!
This dudes really bout to drill holes in his Z06 🤦🏼♂️ *stops the vid
See yo our none run flats n your car.
pjfan173 Yep.
Brink of Speed When I replace my tires I do plan on staying with the Michelin run flats. I'm concerned with being stranded and or ruining a wheel.
THE GRILLS LOOK LOOSE IN THE VIDEO
Looks like a ugly add on accessory. I do like ACS quality products.
Absolutely ugly (compromising further installation of rear mud flaps ?), anihilating completely the nice touch of the rear diffusers....imo
Carbon Flash 👎🏻
🙄
boring content. downvote.
This might be the worst, most boring, beating around the bush video on the internet.
Looks horrible.
