Yes it can help when combined within a rounded treatment, where the gastroc, soleus and opposing muscles are also treated, home care activities are provided such as stretches and strengthening, and reasons for plantar fasciitis are looked at (e.g walking gait, footwear etc). Even after one treatment where dry needling to the plantar fascia is provided, clients often feel the difference. But depending on how chronic it is, then as you suggested, a course of treatments will be beneficial. I hope this helps.
Hi, do you recommend connect electric stimulation connect to the needles? also, do you recommend moxibustion in combination of acupuncture needles? Thank you for sharing.
Great to hear. Yes Dry Needling can be useful for treating a range of conditions including plantar fasciitis 👍🏼. It’s useful when combined with wider treatment too and honestly care exercises.
The Dry Needling perspective focuses on application to the area of injury / pain. However an acupuncture perspective that you mention may also be of benefit?
Often clients will feel a difference after one treatment. But re-treatment depends on the severity of the condition, activity levels and home care treatment.
@@avtardreams12 Thank you for your comment. This video doesn’t target acupuncture points as the is dry needling application from a western perspective. But yep the same tool is used in both acupuncture and dry needling 👍🏼
@@CoreElementsTraining thanks. Can you summarise the dry needle concept and it's western theoretical basis or recommend some video link so that I can understand this because it is new for me. Thanks.
If your doctor offers Dry Needling therapy, then they will be able to do this. But you’d be better off looking for a physiotherapist or sports therapist as they may offer this treatment. Sometimes the feet can be sensitive, but depends on the person and not to have an ‘expectation’ of pain.
Hello, I suffer from plantar pain for more than 1 year on both foot due to neuropathy of medial plantar nerve. I discovered it is related to calf nerve (sciatica). Had MRI of my L4-L5 disk and it looks okay. It seems to be a local neuropathy between calf and plantar area. Would it help in such a case ? Thank you
Sorry to hear about your condition. Yes Dry Needling may help along with electro-needling. Look for a local therapist/physiotherapist who uses this modality and they should be able to assess you and advise on treatment 👍🏼.
Acupuncture and Dry Needling use the same tool, which is a ‘dry needle’. But the way that needling is applied is different. Here’s a blog that explains the difference between the two modalities - coreelements.uk.com/dry-needling-for-injury-treatment/
Thanks for teaching me needling placement Wich is very important for me
Does this actually eliminate Plantar Fascitis -- after a certain number of treatments?

Hi 👋
Yes electrical stimulation / electro-needling can also help this condition 👍
thanks for share.
Subscribed to the channel. Is this method highly effective, Doctor?

Can use ear seed instead of needle in this point??

You’re welcome 👍🏼

Better if you mention name of acupuncture points also. Overall well done. ❤👍

Does this hurt? Can my Dr do this for me?

I was tought needing is only for muscles. Isnt that right?
It’s great for reducing MSK pain and tension and can be used on other structures of the body too.
@@CoreElementsTraining what other structures, please give examples.

Very helpful . Thanks
Glad the video was helpful 👍🏼 and thank you for your comment.
Is there any blood come out during needling ?
Occasionally, but this will just be a blood drop, like when you prick your finger on a pin / needle.
Good technique but try wet needle for instant results.
Trigger point injection therapy with anaesthetic can also be helpful 👍 and can be combined with Dry Needling technique.
Not for me. Can't have anybody touching my feet
😁
Simply put: that is acupuncture
😁 - There are differences between Acupuncture and Dry Needling. But yep, they both use the same style of needle 👍🏼
That looks like acupuncture !

It is acupuncture. Dry needling is a form of acupuncture done by non acupuncturist to enhance the scope of physical therapy.
@@doronben-dov5658 lol u are jealous or just an angry person... dry needling is not acupuncture. Period.
Of course it is. I give CEUs to providers on a regular basis as I am a provider of both modalities
