  • Want to learn impressionist techniques of painting landscape? Hope this video will help you. This is full time tutorial.
    I tried to paint like Claude Monet. Claude Monet (14 November 1840 - 5 December 1926) was a French painter, a founder of French Impressionist painting and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein air landscape painting.

    So nice!!!! I'm really inspired by the way you hold your brush, makes for such loose and beautiful effects. Big thank you!!!

    I really like that you put the photo in the lower right. I painted one of your other tutorials and was constantly switching screens to see the photo. Very helpful! Thanks!

      thank you so much. sometimes I just don't have space to put the reference foto on the screen,my palette and canvas usually cover the whole screen. I'll try to manage with these problems in future.

      @@PaintingWithSamir No worries. I noticed that on this video in some sections. As a novice, it's more valuable to see how you're mixing paints than seeing the photo, but where it works for you, it's great for someone like me. Thanks for sharing your talent!

      thank you Beatrice. I am using cheap synthetic brushes (1-2$) as for the size,. really don't know and I think it really doesn't matter,becouse I try to paint as much loosly and freely as I can. One big angled brush in good condition can be used for almost everything. sometimes I paint the whole painting using just one brush,it's a good training. cheers

    What do you use to prime your canvas?

    • @PaintingWithSamir
      @PaintingWithSamir  5 месяцев назад

      I use some leftover paint from my palet, so it is oil paint (i just try to mix warm earthy tone) mixed with some medium ( linseed oil). primed canvas I leave it aside to dry completely.

    Could you mention de number of the brushes used in each opus?

    • @PaintingWithSamir
      @PaintingWithSamir  3 года назад +1

      I mostly use flat and angle brushes of different sizes as needed. I usually use 3-5 brushes during one painting session. I really am not someone who pays too much attention to the quality of the brushes, although I do not dispute that the quality can make the job easier.
