Michael knew he wasn't a savior and could barely change every corruption happening in Africa, but he did his best with his genuine heart and tried to make a change and bring awareness to the public during a time of no social media. A wrath that could never be appeased through man-made religion.
Jesus didn't die to turn the world into a paradise, he died so that we could stop seeking paradise in the world...
Temporal things such as beauty, popularity, money, sex, racial identity, gender reassignment... can never truly satisfy. BECAUSE WE WERE MADE FOR SO MUCH MORE!
We were made to gaze intently into the Eternal Beauty of a majestic King, Father, and God... meet Jesus the Christ.

So it seems that by July 1985 during the filming of Captain EO, the transformation of his complexion & look to his Bad look/era was official. The 1st half of 1985 you can still remnants of MJ's look during the Thriller era. Because I was born in 88, I always wondered what year did his skin make that official switch from Brown to olive yellow tone.

One has to wonder where that radical skin change came from. I used to think it was vitiligo, which he undoubtedly had, but since I’ve been watching The Detail, it was clear at this point, it was from chemical peels.

If you really look at his face during that time, his cheeks and chin, (lower part of his face) are now a lightbrown, whilst the upper part of his face (forehead, nose, eye area) are still meduim brown(his orginal color) ppl say the vitiligo spread that time, but idk. Usually when someone bleaches their face, you can easily tell. The result is always a lighter pinksh tone, (could be his lupus tho)
yup. its used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin, but in the process it can also remove a layer of skin leaving most of the time a lighter, or darker skin tone. There are different types of chemical peels, but i think he used a mixture of creams, and peels. @@561rob

He was a modern day king. When he got hurt there would be press conferences about his condition. Because of his height as a celebrity he was able to get all those celebrities compacted in the “We Are The World” song. He used his status and power for the better.

Imagine just coming off of releasing the biggest selling album of all time and the media still finds a way to discredit you. Imagine owning half of Sony Music as a black man in a white industry becoming the most powerful man in music (even more than Paul McCartney an ex beatle) and yet the media criticized your billion dollar catalogue. Meanwhile the media celebrated figures who sold and had half of his influence. The last couple of newspaper's made me sad but also upset. They've been after Michael Jackson since the beggining. And people wonder why MJ fan's defend Michael so much. They act like his fandom is crazy for going against "the truth" found in the media when it couldn't be further from the truth.
The reaction he got in London was nuts.

I was actually quite shocked captain eo was filmed in 85 was convinced it was filmed in early 86 his appearance changed so much in 85 86 years
All these years I honestly thought MJ went away after Thriller and re-emerged looking the way he did in BAD when in actual fact, seeing the footage now he pretty much started to change from mid 1984.. I'd say the We Are The World video is the first noticeable change in his complexion and face after Thriller and during the Victory tour his face pretty much started to look like he did in BAD with short hair. By 1985 through 86 when Captain EO was released he had pretty much fully transitioned to how he would remain until mid 1991
That's why he was rarely seen

As a younger fan, the only type of hysteria I have seen like this in my lifetime is Justin Bieber or One Direction- and their hysteria does not come close to Michael.
