For people who have Iceborne or just are very insecure: ●please... PLEASE use the weapon you like the most. If you dont 9/10 time of you playing High or Master Rank will be: changing weapons wasting resources... ●try doing most of the optional quests before Iceborne because, believe me, if your botanic lab has just one space and monster poop you will get 1 mega potion every WEEK. ●Dont select any type of armour or anything you see. Just select wich you see it has an ability wich is useful to your main weapon. For example: 50% less stamina loss using hammer or most large weapons. --Thanks for reading!, i want to make sure that you guys know that im not an english speaker as im from South America, but i hope y'all can use that info❤!!
For sure master one weapon but the beauty of Monster Hunter is also to change your weapons and equipment frequently and come up with new builds you not have tried before. But I would do all of that in Master Rank where you actually will keep the armor and weapons your crafting and not replacing them after few hours like in low/high rank.
In my opinion the tutorial monsters are great jagras for the most basic tutorial, anjanath for the second tutorial to test what youve learned along the way,and then rathalos and diablos are the final tutorial, cause those are the stepping stones to doing actual hard fights.
Thanks for inadvertently reminding me to add those mods to my game as well XD. Wish I had a strong recommendation for what Charge Blade to go for starting out HR but I just went with the iron one when I was messing around with it since it was simple enough to go for and has pretty east access to blue sharpness. But you could probably even just go for the bone upgrade path and get some blast on that blade for some free extra damage while still getting some blue sharpness.
Yeah and I might just add more later on too haha. Yeah no worries I think I'll just just the diablos one for now or until it asks for black diablos parts 🥲
@ yeah i figured i knew there wasn’t one like that in game, just curious though was it designed to be a proper anjanath longsword? Cause it looks damn good.
@@CopperLime As a GS main, let me translate for you: Axe becomes chainsaw, chainsaw goes VROOM VROOM; Big Damage. In other words, just charge the axe. You don't need the shield or the sword, just keep the chainsaw spinning with the phials
Skill Issue. (But I mean, jokes aside, play whatever feels better for you personally chief. Some people swear up and down by the lances, and I fucking despise them, sooo.)
@@CopperLime To be honest, as much as the Charge Blade looks like this "big setup one-blow" weapon, it's more of a... flow-y sorta weapon? The trick is in getting the feel for the moments your shield is active during the attacks to keep yourself invincible, and getting the feel for when to flow in and out of BIG HITS MODE, while harrying the monster in Sword and Shield mode while you wait for that opening. So frankly, if you want BIG HITS ALL DAY EVERY DAY, the Greatsword will be more your jam. Maybe try the Hammer at some point, it has less range but less wind-up time in return.
Maybe that's why I like the greatsword. Yeah every weapon has its own play style and I got that while learning the charged blade. I've tried every weapon but never actually learned how to play them back when I first started the game.
@@CopperLime It's a bit funky since what everybody is told at first is "Well, go and get a feeling for each weapon, see what you vibe with", but ultimately it's an introduction because each weapon has its own complexities you only find about as you play them properly. - The Sword and Shield is the second fastest weapon in the game with the highest skill ceiling, it's basically a fighting game to pull off its proper usage, but when you do you might as well be the true quickest in the game with how quick you can _react_ to things, unlike the All-Or-Nothing Dual Blades. - The Greatsword is surprisingly methodical and unexpectedly fast on the draw once you get used to it, despite seeming to be a slow bruiser. - The Hammer is a stunlocking god, and hitting an enemy's head turns out to be less trouble than the game of whack-a-mole one would expect. - The Dual Blades have a -lot- of twitchy movements to dodge things, although they're probably the clearest gameplay. - The Longsword is deceptively simple, but you need to learn how to not be an asshat and hit your teammates. Also, counter-based gameplay takes its experience to get the hang of. - The Hunting Horn is also a hammer. I repeat, it is also a hammer. At first it's easy to get tempted to play aside and buff allies, and only then go into combat, but the real fun comes when you become used to attacking and playing at the same time- and you might not be the stunlocking god, but you can get pretty close! Something that players eventually learn, after all, is that the "play song" swing is in fact the strongest single blow you have! (Although boy, did this guy change in Rise. In which they're just OP, but I'm talking World.) - The Switch Axe initially seems like it'd be similar to the Greatsword, but no, it's the actual slow bruiser class that only switches to quick and strong modes when an opening shows up. But the switching can be surprisingly All-Or-Nothing, too! So on, so forth, although I can't exactly give a dissertation on every single weapon since I'm only a Charge Blade main, haha.
If you want to try out a new weapon and you have Iceborne, just craft the Defender set of the weapon you want to experiment with. Super Cheap and easy to make.
@@ravelt101 oooohh haha yeah. My eyes were hurting looking at the wasted potential of what could of been great looking weapons. ( for some reason I feel like that when I see myself in the mirror 🤔......)

@@user-darkodbd yeah that's why I'm not going too hard on armor casue I know I'm gonna change it anyway.
ive got through entire master rank without knowing that foresight slash exists in LS lol
if it wasn't for me looking up tutorials on how to use the weapon for the first time I wouldn't know either haha good thing this was my first MH ever.

What longsword is he using against puke puke? It looks like it would be anjanath but sadly hes got bone attached
sorry but its a mod called bits on sticks I think.

you should try using savage axe mode for the charge blade
You need to explain in Greatsword words cause I don't know how to do that haha
@@CopperLime It's the same way you charge the shield but you use LT or L2 instead of RT or R2 (depending on the controller)
