LMMS is an emotion for me. I've been started producing music by LMMS from last two and half years and still I'm making BANGERRRS🧨 from this free and basic daw 💎 Honestly I mix/master all my songs in FL but still I don't know why my heart and mind both goes towards LMMS for production.

I've been using LMMS for over 2 years now, after watching most of your tutorials, (which are great btw, you make it easy to understand 😇) My hubby bought me the Ableton launchkey, but I'm finding it challenging having to use new stuff after getting so used to LMMS and all it's quirks! I still love it, the synth stock sounds work well with the kind of music I make. I just export my tracks into MP3's, so you can record them that way.

The opposite happened to me, I started with FL and after many years I discovered LMMS, and I understood that LMMS is the dream of building a free FL, of course it will never be FL, but nevertheless the union of the LMMS community and the way in which they join their efforts to continue building that dream. I personally fascinated by programming and being able to program for LMMS is simply an honor, LMMS is like a brotherhood of warriors who do not care about succeeding but simply giving their best and die on the battlefield hahahaha

Trust me - you're underusing it. If you need recording, you can export stems from lmms as wav files, adding to them via audacity opens a world of discovery...
You can drop WAV files directly into lmms.
Oh as for editing - get an old graphics tablet.
      That improves your workflow tenfold.

I just had a quick question about your piano roll on lmms, how did you get it to label all notes along the side bar? Like the piano roll icon on the left has all notes labeled, on my only C is labeled. I'm on version 1.3.0 alpha, newest nightly version, was wondering if you had any info on this. Thanks again for doing what u do and for giving some exposure to this awesome daw once again :D

You likely won't read my comment as it always happens when leave one, but I am VERY surprised you don't remember things you have taught me in your older videos. Specifically I am talking about the beat and bassline editor. You can hold ctrl and drag any track from the beat and bassline editor directly into the song editor. This allows you to even make variations of your loops from the beat and bassline editor to diversify the song. And for the FX mixer you can link any amount of mixer tracks to a new one, so you can add effects to the new one, but have them apply to all linked tracks. As I mentioned above, I am very surprised you have forgotten that. After all you have taught me this.

this one was a really good fair comparison of those two. i think lmms project should be better funded and reach fl studio's development state faster. we can't accept that we don't have a good free non-proprietary alternative for music making software, as so many artists and musicians simply can't afford a full software to work with.

instead make a contribution to the LMMS project. it's a free an open source project so you can get involved and contribute directly. it doesn't have to be a lot even, but think of it this way, what has it been worth to you, and would you like to reward the developers who have created this software free of any ads or bullshit and make the project's code public by buying them a beer or a coffee, etc.?
that's how i think of it. as a linux user (where we have less choices of proprietary software, but we do now have a number of great proprietary musid sotware now) i'm grateful for the amazing software passionate people in the free software (open source) world have given us, and i give donations when i can, and whatever i can afford, even if it's not much, i'm happy to give it, since they give away their work for free and the quality is often amazing. for proprietary stuff, i would just pirate it, but open source, my contribution is to make a donation.
