I've been flying a nazgul for almost 2 years. Things a tank! (Literally haven't broke a thing!) It even survived a swim!

@@M.TTT. I literally spent 5+ minutes attempting to turtle this thing out of a 60+ foot tree before it finally fell. These iflight electronics are tough as hell. I use them in all my 5in builds
Love my nazgul5 replaced the vtx with a rush tank 2 ultimate flew amazing out the box IMO only changed the rate. Rpm filtering was even set up out the box. Awesome
On the first flight I blew a prop and it crashed from at least 60ft in the air, snapped an arm. Broke my heart.

Thanks for your total honesty Steele. I do think this is not damaging Ethix's value or market share at all it is quite the opposite. People who buy your products go for the highest quality and most tested setup in the hobby. To see and hear someone so well established as you are taking a less expensive setup and try it is always something worth to watch. I wish to see some more in the future but I guess this was a one off only as you've explained it well that it was not intentional. Thanks again for sharing your impressions.

I'm super new to fpv but I have gone down the RUclips rabbit hole over and over. I learned quickly that you hated dji but I have seen you post more and more about it lately. I love that you have come to appreciate something that you really didn't want to like. I have a lot of stick time on dji drones and after finally flying fpv after all of these years, I get it. I have heard the horror stories about their customer service and people have this idea that they are the best drones but that obviously depends on what you user it for. Personally they have not done me wrong but I get it. They are great for real estate, mapping and surveying which I do a lot of but now I don't leave home without my cinewhoop. I have flown through houses and gaps and had fun with dji products but nothing has compared to FPV. I'm also a professional skydiver and flying fpv has been as fun as swooping for me. I think I randomly heard you mention paramotors in a previous video somewhere so I figure that you get it. I'm sold. Your videos have been inspiring, educational and I like the way you do things. Please don't stop.

My son and I own 8 iFlight pre-builts. Nazgul 5s, Titan DC5 HDs, and new Chimera 7 HDs.
Absolutely fly the hell out of them, and love them .
Best battery? By far, R-Line 1400 120C packs. On the Nazguls, and Titans, 6-9 minute flights, freestyle.
Tunes are awesome out of the box on these... And we dial up the rates, as you thought you'd do.

DUDE I just picked up sone 6s 1400mah Rline packs and with some Flash 5149 props I still get around six minutes and very good performance. I have the DC3, The XL5 and a lot of their electronics and frames. I am mostly on HD now and there is no going back. The DC5 is next on the list...lol I also have the Flywoo Explorer and its BLAST. Its actually pretty quick for a efficient setup. I was clocking clost to 57 miles an hour with some 4s Rline 850mah packs and still getting seven minute of flight time. I am up to 7 HD quads and the number will grow over time. IF you want the fastest cleanest feeling quad I have ever flown Try the Diatone GTR349, the thing is a monster and I am in the process of converting it over to HD, but I need taller stack screws to finish the project. Cheers.

Might not help you in sales. But i feel ot helps the beginners creaping up to higher end quads. Like the car world. People start with say traxxas. Then learn there is racing. Amd move up to an Associated or TRL. Can feel it helps people not get overwhelmed. And stick with the Hobby longer.
It doesn't help you, but it also doesn't hurt you. I went with a Nazgul5 for $290 because I'm pretty new to the hobby and I don't want to mod stuff too much yet. I was never going to buy your stuff anyway at that level, but it's only been a few months and I'm starting to look at stuff from Ethix & TBS because I'm getting more comfortable with the hobby. This drone is a gateway drug for your stuff, and I'd say that's a good thing for you!
I really like not only ur personality but specially how u talk and deliver the FACTS and informations about FPV.. I get into this kind of hobby BCOZ of u, and for that you will be always my inspiration Mah Bro.. Keep flying 💪💪💪

I 2nd this,bought a dromida xl awhile back randomly because my friend flew planes and went with him to local hobby shop to get some parts for his planes and decided to give flying a try,looked up drones on youtube and......Mr.stizeele was recommended and was blown away at what could be done with these birdz,been hooked since...its been the perfect escape from the grind we call life:)
I’m so happy you did this review because I just got this drone . The only reason I fly other drones is because I like the nazgul so much and don’t wanna kill it with my two months experience:) tomorrow I’ll take it out . I’ll probably do jujitsu again too 💪

I bought my first BNF earlier this year also after buying the DJI stuff and not really wanting to build a quad. I got the iflight DC5 (half squish looking thing), and I was amazed with the quality and the price I paid.
I did end up breaking it pretty bad and transplanting everything to an apex frame but I got a few months out of the frame and the motors and electronics are still going strong

My Nazgul5 on 6s and analog just showed up yesterday. Maiden flight was this evening and WOW! I'm one month into FPV and this is my second 5 inch. And on a side not I picked up the PB&J props, haven't flown them yet. But I like the lemon limes so I'm sure these things will be just as good! Thanks for all the work you do and information you share on here! It's greatly appreciated!!

Once I am more financially setup, I will buy one of your drones to support you. In the meantime, I have bought this BNF drone to practice on. Unfortunately, the ESC failed midflight and it crashed into a tree, burned a motor,... 4 batteries in. Kinda unlucky. I did buy some ethix gear already, eagerly waiting for it to get back in stock & ship.

I have an old analog Nazgul5 which was around 150 bucks back then. It was my first 5 inch quad and everybody who is into this hobby knows, what it means to a quad to be in beginner's hands. Besides the FPV antenna and a couple of props, nothing, really nothing ever broke. This guy is tough! I still fly and enjoy it, it's really a great build.
Loved the video Mr. Steele. TBH, when I first started watching you I used to think you were a bit of a quad snob, but over time I realised that you just care a lot about quality. And yes, you were right about cheap crap ruining the hobby for people. If I had a to do it all over again I'd probably investment in better gear upfront and avoid a lot of the frustrations. Don't get me wrong, I learned a lot even from those failures, but I also feel like I wasted a lot money incrementally. But as they say you live and you learn, and I think that's what we're seeing here from you. You're finally giving some of this new gear a try and discovering some of these manufacturers you've traditionally shied away from have actually improved on their build quality. So let me say that I admire your open mindedness to try something different, your honesty in sharing your positive experience, but most of all your courage to say it's a decent buy, because people could buy it and have a crap experience, damaging your reputation and you're gaining nothing from it. 👍

I've been flying a Cidora which is the non banggood version as far as I can tell. It's also a squashed x instead of the perfect x. It's super durable nothing has broken yet. A few days ago I crashed it into a tree pretty hard at maybe 60 feet up and it just fell right down and was fine.

For the price its hard to beat this drone. Flys amazing out of the box! Just put in your rates and of course some Ethix props and your good to go.

You mean the v1 analogue version? V2 is normally 205 on banggood, and it went on sale down to like 180 recently I think

Thank you for this review man! I bought this drone a few days ago. But It's raining all day, so I didn't flew it now. And I'm a absolut beginner. I own my first drone since 4th of november :-D. The Tina Whoop :-). And the Nazgul will be my first experience in 5 inch freestyle and cinematic flying. Kinda spot on with the arm break points btw.. i have this, it was my 2nd drone. The first one was the V4... I love em to bits.. but just like you say... doesn't fit hardcore freestyle use-case... well it does... but you'll need a heap of spares!

This thing is a tank. I love it. I crashed it a few times and even lost it in the mountains (found it 4 days later) electronics all good. I fly it with your Ethix S5 cinematic props, it is super locked in now. I fly more cinematic with light freestyle. Nice to see how it could freestyle 😂 Them school kids 🚌 be like: “Mr. Steele is rippin’ balls again!!!’

I've built a quad on that frame... There is an in-built weakness on the base plate at the front (the 'chin'). I managed the break the bottom plate there at front and that causes the standoff to bend. But, never had an arm break. Plus I didn't have the TPU chin guard, that might help with the chin strength. Anyhow, I bought another of the same frame kit, the iflight XL5 V4... Which is the same frame.

Just look out for the screws. The screws in mine got loose twice and I used thread glue

My buddy has 2 of these, and I've witnessed probably 150 crashes between them, most crashes being very hard, with turtle out on most, and I haven't seen any real failures. The surface mount cap feel off the esc on one, but it had done about 25 hard wall taps in previous flights plus other crashes, no biggie, soldered in a new 1000uf and it's fine. He also just killed a motor, but it was smoked by trying to fly with a single bladed prop after crash, not really the drones fault.
It's definitely the single most reliable bnf quad I've ever seen.
NIce to hear out opinion that's doest not include some sponsor stuffs, like u have nothing to do with the iFlight and that's nice to hear because it's fully objectiv and honest. thanks a lot
