This game is amazing. It gets gets better and better and has so much exciting shit to do and things to craft. I’m in love with Biomutant and it’s atmosphere. After losing my mom 4 months ago I couldn’t focus or enjoy ANYTHING. Biomutant really pulled me out of that rut and showed me some crazy stuff with crazy messages that hit home. This is turning into one of the absolute best games in my library of around 800 titles. Play, judge, and be yourself! Don’t listen to reviews. If (and they most certainly did) someone creates a shit ton of hype and expectations for a game, and it isn’t what they thought or wanted, why does that make it a bad game? It doesn’t! It’s sad that we can’t have good things anymore because there’s always going to be the people crying “More” or “Less” or “Same as last game” or “Too different from last game”. Just stop. Move on and play Fortnite, because that’s such a great game, right? 😏

The game is dope. I think people are comparing to BOTW and The Witcher 3 which needs to stop.. every game isn't supposed to be like that. It's a chill game not supposed to be deep and dark. It's light-hearted and easy to get into. Feels like it was made for 90s kids that grew up on Fable, Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon etc... The exploration and customization are A+ and the combat is pretty fun too once you unlock skills. MANY different types of enemies. Please just let this game be what it is.. don't forget it was made by a small team and considering what they did.. this is an amazing foundation for a new game franchise. Looking forward to whatever they have in store next for this game. That said.. it's not perfect.. far from.. combat that needs some love..could be better.. no, I don't think it's worth 60, more like a 30 -40 dollar price point. Worth it right now if only you are a fan of exploration and quirky types of games. Dont think BOtW or W3.. think Ratchet and Clank x Fable.
This game is really amazing. Has some cool features. Played it 60 hours + already and I can honestly say that it's simply amazing. Later in the game you get really cool weapons and gadgets by exploring and making quests. I was expecting to see more advanced gameplay from you since you are saying that you secretly played it. Kind of disappointed that you put no effort into it.
I think it’s hard to get a feel for the game when reviewers rush through it in a couple of days. I want to know what it’s like to play it in small chunks.
Such an oddball game. I had no interest at the start but after seeing more of it and just how all over the place it is with character customization to top.. I'm in. 60 bucks worthy? I don't think so. I can already see that it needs more polish.
From what I’ve seen since they started and where they’re at now it earns being called 60 bucks the color looks amazing the gameplay is amazing any new game is usually 60 bucks unless it’s an addition like miles morales or dishonored mark of the outsider the tag ones are just 40 usually
Every games need polish nowadays when it gets releaased. You can rather enjoy or complain. Yes its right to critic sth thats not good bu i feel like many people search for bad things about a game when it gets released. I dont mean that you are doing it but its how i feel about new games nowadays.
I got the Atomic Edition and I’m so far I’m excited. Some RUclipsrs talked bad about it, but deep inside I’m a little kid. Reminds me of the first Jack and Daxter 🤣.
Regardless of what reviews say, I'm gonna play this and see for myself. I can easily just return the game (getting physical copy) if I want to. I waited a long time for this one, and need something new to play since the other main game I was hype for got shelved.
@@danielbyers2366 With the store I order from, they usually give a 10 day return policy on new games. So if I'm not satisfied, i hand them the game and receipt. If I don't return it in those days but still take it back, they'll give me some cash back if the disc is in decent condition, or I can just exchange it for another game that's in the amount that they would give in cash.

This game is so, so so much fun! please inform the developers MANY people love their work and see the beautiful craftmanship that is incredibly evident within this game. 10/10. Love it! Out of all of the reviews I have watched, this is the only one that seems authentic and forgiving. Thank you for giving a review that allows a game to be a game and not a comparison to the games where it has borrowed some mechanics from. I will be definitely picking this game up and supporting the developers that spent so much blood, sweat, and tears trying to create something unique, fun, and enduring for all of us to enjoy in a world where it seems that so few are taking risks in anymore.

@@enricobertoli1807 True, but Last of Us 2 is also a critcally acclaimed game, winning many GotY awards and selling quite a bit (even though I was not a fan). This game isn't any of those things. People complain about it being empty, people complain about the lack of AI in the game, and for an Open World game those two things can be enough to put a lot of folks off. Add to the fact that a class is locked behind a pre-order for no reason then yeah, people are going to judge the game based on all of these factors.

But let's be honest there was a lot going on with those Last of Us 2 scores that had less to do with the game and more to do with political and social narratives. Either way, the game had the cinematic visuals going for it along with a storyline that was appealing to enough people. Biomutant's story doesn't really seem that great from other reviews I read, the gameplay is hit or miss, the world's empty, generic AI...just a lot of issues for a game. If this was a budget game (and didn't have a class lock behind pre-order), people wouldn't be so harsh, but it isn't so people have to ask why they should pay 60 bucks for this game over another.
I bought it. After anthem and outriders I'm getting severally close to going back to doing the same. Just have a fomo about preorder stuff sometimes like with outriders it's got something amazing

The question is if you have fun with those games. Reviews are general, gamers are individual. CP was beaten like a dead horse for months, and still is, but I had over 140 hours of pure fun and I'm really happy I bought this game. So reviews can point you in a direction when you are 50/50 buy or not to buy, but if the game is "for you", even the worst reviews won't made you to hate it.
I'm loving the game 🎮 I chose psi freak and I use ki spark and brain drain with all my points into intellect, it's such a tanky build I'm now looking for ki regeneration gear
I personally will never pre order any game ever again I've been disappointed far too many times over the past few years 😕. I will wait at least two to three weeks to see independent reviews of any game I am interested in and then make decisions whether or not to purchase it 😉

I had my doubts, but loving the game, already 15hrs in. Definetly worth it and the update and tweaks to come will only make it better. I recommend this.
I always thought it should be reversed. The dark path should be ice and the light path fire, that makes more sense to me. The cold and winter only brings death and decay where as fire brings warmth, cooks food etc (yes the occasional forest fire sucks but still more positives than negatives.)
My main gripes that seem to stand out from other reviews are; empty, lifeless world and dumb/docile a.i. Still looking forward to playing, but that sorta hurts since those are pretty necessary in open world rpgs. I hope they at least tune up the a.i. I doubt it, but hope.
I saw on a comment on another video that the harder the difficulty, the more aggressive the a.i gets. So maybe if you get it play on one of the harder difficulties.
How much do you need to adventure, are there waypoints that spoil the journey or something guiding you? Or do you get hints or directions and you have to follow them?
For sure gonna buy it at 40 dollars. I know my play habits, and I know I'll probably beat the story and just walk away from it. The world looks amazing for sure.

You can't play this game on utlrawide or superultrawide monitors unless you play in windowed mode in 16:9. If you do, you can't see the puzzles, and half of your character is hidden underneath the bottom of the screen.
I think the main problem is the price point. Major sites review this like it is a big AAA game. Aside from $, if you look at it as a small indie title, that small team has done an incredible job.
Well you should always look there other reviews to see if you agree with them more than 70% of the time, if you do agree with them i would take my advice "hype" so to speak from them for sure. If i do not agree at all, like OWG i dont agree with him at all, he seems to like trashy games alot, dont know if he gets paid to say what he say or he simply like trashy games 🤷♂️ Well to me they are trash games, he loved Anthem, Cyberpunk2077 and other trashy games, i didnt like them at all.
I'm enjoying it. You can unlock all abilities as long as you have the corresponding amount of points both light and dark. I personally think that some reviews are being a bit unfair but that's just my opinion just as their review is theirs.
Picked up the game and has been funny great on PS5 this has also satisfied my craving for a new and different RPG game. No game is perfect but I'd love to see some dlc to expand it more
Was hoping for more news on native PS5 version before release. Decided on Mass Effect Legendary Edition for now. Might get it on sale later if/when they give PS5 owners a proper resolution.
Picking up the Atomic edition tomorrow and wife got the collector's. We have been waiting for this since it was announced back in 2017. Your bad points in the vid seem more like preferences, which is fine cause I even liked the bad points. Maybe they will add a feature for more camera zoom out/in. Which fixes the only bad point I heard in vid that's really a bad point.
Another review stated you can chose light or dark choices at will & can eventually unlock all psi abilities. Doesn't sound like it makes you stick to one side or the other.
"Certain abilities are locked after you chose a light or dark path." That to my knowledge is incorrect. Abilities require you to have a certain amount of light or dark points. Those accumulate through your gameplay. You don't always have to stick with light or dark and that gives you appropriate points. It will take you more time to get to the abilities preferred by the opposite aura but you will get there eventually.
Same here tbh, I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews and would usually just play it and find out for myself. But for full price I’m starting to think I might just cancel my pre order and wait for a sale, possibly. I was really excited for it.

Star Wars battlefront 2 the biggest loot box scandal ever, cyberpunk was a shit show and outriders promised the world but gave you a linear style shooter that followed anthems loot progressions ie run lower tier worlds to get the best loot etc. All the games he has covered have been amazing to him when he is the only one playing so his sales pitch is great then everyone starts buying it and then he starts reporting issues and bugs etc with the game.

First time it’s notified me the second it comes out and I used to watch his and his brothers videos but then I noticed he only reports on games that end up having massive issues like game breaking bugs or loot box scandals or keep delaying dlcs/basic dlcs (battlefront 2 for the first 2 years). I’m just waiting for the game to break so he can start his daily peppering of dev responds videos etc.

i wish there were a lot of different endings besides 2 because let’s say i slaughtered all the tribes and that could be a cool ending or just anything that i do thats really big that could affect the ending of the game.
I was watching this title from 2017 and new it would be special if it ever released, given the size of the team , it’s astonishing how accomplished this title is; sure the ‘British’ accents grate, and nobody in UK talks like that , but still, only a few minor issues that are excusable.
Noone talks bout the real negative bout this game...the joy of getting home from work at 7am get on the game before bed to find out it still has another 3 hours before it unlocks!!! >_< automatically -100/10
You are not locked into dark or light.. they said you can unlock everything.. just like class abilities. Just cause you don't start with something you can eventually unlock all abilities.
Thinking about getting this on my PS5 as well even though I have a 1440p ultrwide gaming monitor paired with an RTX2080. Something about playing single player games on the couch hits different.

Well. This review was kinda nice to hear... When the game was announced, it caught my attention... watching reviews kinda let me down, game has been getting low scores overall. While I never expected the game to be a AAA or a GOAT whatsoever, the reviews and comments were discouraging despite me not being over hyped by it... What I hear here its closer to what i was expecting from it, ill probably buy it once I finish first game of Mass Effect :P
All reviewers up to this point have given Biomutant a very underwhelming rating. It's turning out to be a game you play on game pass. Pre-order refunded. Which I have to just say... After Anthem, Cyberpunk, Outriders, I am SO TIRED of being disappointed. I just want a REALLY GOOD game to dive into that's not just an overhyped piece of mediocrity.
I want to try the game, but Its hard for me to justify buying this. Almost all reviews I'm watched have basically said the game is a empty, boring, steaming pile of hippo shit. Only positive reviews i've seen so far are from the people that are paid off, and you. I hope you're not one of those sell outs.
It's not worth it. It's the same repetitive gameplay that might've been good if sound design and input returns were better. The 'RPG' elements don't have much significance and consist of the same options throughout the game. The stats tree is just plug n chug. World is barren and boring to explore.

They did say they are going to upgrade to 4k at some point. They wanted to go this route, at least from what I read, with a PS4 start due to the PS5 still hard to get. I think thats great for a company that understands that for their consumers.
It’s same like mass effect only 60fps but on Xbox 120fps and even the ps5 exclusive returnal is only 1080p game is ok but resident evil even idk if u saw that one random game sniper contract 2 getting delayed cuz ps5 can’t perform it on the console so your better getting a ps4 pro
They went for the 1080p route on PS5 because it was having issues running at native 4K. That’s what the devs said. It has nothing to do with the PS5 being hard to get. The SeriesX is hard to get but it runs at 4K 60fps.

This game rewards you for coming up with realtime combat strategy and practicing it. There for, you will need a mix of at this two or three types of attacks or more. For instance, unload your gun, then flash into combat with psi, AOE with psi, melee combat, blink out of combat, back to your gun and repeat type stuff.
@Ghost Troupe They said they would try to fix the 4K PS5 issue but they have no intent at this time to upgrade the game beyond what it looks like now other than bug fixes. That's what I have seen at least

But let's be honest there was a lot going on with those Last of Us 2 scores that had less to do with the game and more to do with political and social narratives. Either way, the game had the cinematic visuals going for it along with a storyline that was appealing to enough people. Biomutant's story doesn't really seem that great from other reviews I read, the gameplay is hit or miss, the world's empty, generic AI...just a lot of issues for a game. If this was a budget game (and didn't have a class lock behind pre-order), people wouldn't be so harsh, but it isn't so people have to ask why they should pay 60 bucks for this game over another.

The question is if you have fun with those games. Reviews are general, gamers are individual. CP was beaten like a dead horse for months, and still is, but I had over 140 hours of pure fun and I'm really happy I bought this game. So reviews can point you in a direction when you are 50/50 buy or not to buy, but if the game is "for you", even the worst reviews won't made you to hate it.

I always thought it should be reversed. The dark path should be ice and the light path fire, that makes more sense to me. The cold and winter only brings death and decay where as fire brings warmth, cooks food etc (yes the occasional forest fire sucks but still more positives than negatives.)

My main gripes that seem to stand out from other reviews are; empty, lifeless world and dumb/docile a.i.
Still looking forward to playing, but that sorta hurts since those are pretty necessary in open world rpgs. I hope they at least tune up the a.i. I doubt it, but hope.
I saw on a comment on another video that the harder the difficulty, the more aggressive the a.i gets. So maybe if you get it play on one of the harder difficulties.

You can't play this game on utlrawide or superultrawide monitors unless you play in windowed mode in 16:9. If you do, you can't see the puzzles, and half of your character is hidden underneath the bottom of the screen.
I think the main problem is the price point. Major sites review this like it is a big AAA game. Aside from $, if you look at it as a small indie title, that small team has done an incredible job.

Another review stated you can chose light or dark choices at will & can eventually unlock all psi abilities. Doesn't sound like it makes you stick to one side or the other.
"Certain abilities are locked after you chose a light or dark path." That to my knowledge is incorrect. Abilities require you to have a certain amount of light or dark points. Those accumulate through your gameplay. You don't always have to stick with light or dark and that gives you appropriate points. It will take you more time to get to the abilities preferred by the opposite aura but you will get there eventually.
I wasn't really expecting an amazing story. I'm lowkey on the fence about just buying the game solely based on the world and character building.

Star Wars battlefront 2 the biggest loot box scandal ever, cyberpunk was a shit show and outriders promised the world but gave you a linear style shooter that followed anthems loot progressions ie run lower tier worlds to get the best loot etc. All the games he has covered have been amazing to him when he is the only one playing so his sales pitch is great then everyone starts buying it and then he starts reporting issues and bugs etc with the game.

You are not locked into dark or light.. they said you can unlock everything.. just like class abilities. Just cause you don't start with something you can eventually unlock all abilities.

Well. This review was kinda nice to hear... When the game was announced, it caught my attention... watching reviews kinda let me down, game has been getting low scores overall. While I never expected the game to be a AAA or a GOAT whatsoever, the reviews and comments were discouraging despite me not being over hyped by it... I want to try the game, but Its hard for me to justify buying this. Almost all reviews I'm watched have basically said the game is a empty, boring, steaming pile of hippo shit. Only positive reviews i've seen so far are from the people that are paid off, and you. I hope you're not one of those sell outs.
It's not worth it. It's the same repetitive gameplay that might've been good if sound design and input returns were better. The 'RPG' elements don't have much significance and consist of the same options throughout the game. The stats tree is just plug n chug. World is barren and boring to explore.

Either way both sounds good to me. The upscale job they do is pretty amazing and still looks great even if not native.

They did say they are going to upgrade to 4k at some point. They wanted to go this route, at least from what I read, with a PS4 start due to the PS5 still hard to get. I think thats great for a company that understands that for their consumers.

They went for the 1080p route on PS5 because it was having issues running at native 4K. That’s what the devs said. It has nothing to do with the PS5 being hard to get. The SeriesX is hard to get but it runs at 4K 60fps.

This game rewards you for coming up with realtime combat strategy and practicing it. There for, you will need a mix of at this two or three types of attacks or more. For instance, unload your gun, then flash into combat with psi, AOE with psi, melee combat, blink out of combat, back to your gun and repeat type stuff.
It could end up being like Infamous 2 after you played through Good and Evil, you can choose the best of both worlds
You can both increase light aswell as dark at the same time. They told so in the interview with Legacy Gaming
There is NO next gen upgrade in the works. They devs were very clear about that.
