    I wish my dad was alive to see Coach Venables being the head coach at Oklahoma sooners and he just passed away recently we were both in the hospital at the same time I made it but my dad didn’t and my memories of me going to every single game with my dad for 25 years and watching Venables on the sideline tearing up the defense was just insane this guy is a legend and I know my dad is up in heaven looking down and his fist pumping in the air 🏆☝️🙏🏻 strength and honor

    As an OU alum, I've gotten a new appreciation for Clemson the last 4 months after the reaction of you all for BV coming back to Norman. It's clear by your reactions to him leaving that he's such an amazing person that he's had such a great impact on two fanbases like this. I'll certainly be rooting for you all to take the ACC and hope we see each other in the CFP soon!

    • @biggie4380
      @biggie4380 2 года назад +3

      @@pauldearmond5929 you mean the defense that has been established him as the best DC in College football? Sure he has never been a head coach but neither had any of the great coaches OU has hired. Venables is gonna be great.

    • @penquin402
      @penquin402 2 года назад +1

      @@pauldearmond5929 so Todd Bates is a downgrade? Jay Valai who was at Alabama before OU? Coach BV knows what he's doing. He's had a top 10 defense for the past 10 years at Clemson and a top 25 defense when he was at OU from 1999-2011.
      As Biggie said, yes he has never been a HC before but neither had Bud Wilkinson, Barry Switzer, Bob Stoops or hell even Lincoln Riley. Look at what they did. 3 out of the 4 won a NC, had a 100+ wins and are in the College Football Hall of Fame. Coach BV will be fine because he learned how to be a HC from 3 great Head Coaches, Bill Synder, Bob Stoops and Dabo Sweeny. Two of which are in the College Football Hall of Fame.
      Coach BV has also helped build a program. He helped build Kansas State in the 90s and left when it was the number 1 program in the country. He helped build OU in 1999 and 1 year later we competed and won the 2000 NC. He helped build Clemson's defense in 2012 and in those 10 years he was there helped take them to 6 CFP games, won every single semifinal game and won 2 National Championships. That is impressive. He also helped beat Alabama while at OU and Clemson. Coach BV knows what it takes to beat Bama because he's done it before.
      If Coach BV wasn't qualified to be a HC then why did Auburn, an SEC school, offer him the HC job?

The only home run is Eason the rest are below average in real time experience an major personality at attracting top young players. Clemson has to go outside on the road now to start finding the best who believe and promote and use all the tools. We are at a critical stage there is a desperate need for high talent in coaches and player especially for 5 star big boys and coaches with real fire in their bellys period.
