I am a Clemson fan but absolutely Coach V represented the heart soul of our boys love and commitment to Clemson. He had so much do do with do it the right way. He has left a huge gap with no replacement eben clpse
This guy is relentless to bring success to Oklahoma as he did at Clemson. A mans man and great role model for young men. He lives it not just talk. Impossible to thank him for the part he played in Clemsons success. We will be pulling for Coach V. !! He is impossible to replace not even close! GO MAN !
You aren't the only one. It's going to be a great year. We really haven't had the chance to look at our team and honestly say they are one we can be proud of. Until now. Once we put this together, we are going to shake the foundation of college football to its core. We'll have so many recruits that want to come to Oklahoma that we'll have to turn some away. Get ready, the fire has started.
BV: "Finding kids who have toughness, stick-to-itness, loyalty..." These are characteristics we have been missing with TBOW recruits..A culture change is coming Sooner Nation!
Lol loyalty....dude it a sport. How many college athletes lost their scholarship to make room for better recruits? How many kids get told and promise playing time when coaches know the players there only for bodies or backup roles? How many fans boed college athletes for having bad games or a season? So how about folks come down from their high horse and reflect has your recruits change or the fan base of each college program. I can tell you I never seen fans boed their starting college qb for struggling....that was know as a sophomore slump. Yet, fans constantly want loyalty from players but give none back.
@@blackwind6317 The only good point you made was about the booing...Im against that as well. Everything else you said was based on pure emotion. Name me a scholarship athlete that made it to campus and lost their scholarship to make room for a better, incoming athlete...That doesn't exist, the worst thing is that player would be buried on the depth chart. If you watched BV's press conference you'd hear him clearly say that he sells development and long-term gains that a player will make once they commit to working hard and eventually gain the trust to receive playing time or start. He clearly states, you have to EARN the right to start or even get significant PT...So your claim that coaches lie about starting players don't pertain to Coach V. His track record at Clemson backs up this statement. Bottom line, the hell with loyalty to fans...that's not what coaches or myself speak of when speaking on loyalty. It's being loyal to the process, the commitment to getting better and being a team oriented player is the loyalty that's spoke of. The hell with fans, as a fan myself I'll be the 1st to say that players don't owe us a damn thing, but only to the brothers and coaches in the locker room fighting to achieve a common goal. This college game has FAR too many premedonas who has a ME 1st mentality. BV is looking for high character guys. Get your facts straight, homie..
Coach BV was my Very Favorite Coach when he was on Coach Stoops’ Staff-and I Defended him when a “majority” of Sooner “Fans” wanted him Gone! I’m sure some of those same “Fans” are thrilled that he is now our HC. Hopefully they have learned to Appreciate the Man as well as the Coach, from here on.
I guess I was too young to be that knowledgeable of the team back then. I do remember watching some games that he was the DC of, but I had no clue who the DC was at the time.
Glad to see someone interview our coach. First one I seen since Brent arrived. Like ESPN who interviewed a coach that has not won a college football playoff game (been in 3 CFP lost all) in his 5 years as a college head coach or has not won a college football national championship (0)! TBOW has been on ESPN 3x in the last two months. ESPN loves TBOW. Brent at least won some nattys and won college playoff games.
I started laughing 8 minutes in, from getting a sense that Adam was itching to ask another question. But Brent just went on and on until the very end. 😂 I like it though, because it shows that he's genuinely passionate and very thoughtful about what he's doing.
I think Brent will be the best coach at keeping his own players that he recruited. Also he makes a good point every year you play you learn you get better. Joe burrow really thrived he's last year when he was I think a super senior. Don't under estimate Dylan Gabriel I think he can be special and even a hiesman candidate. BV building something special. BOOMER!
People were saying OU was done after TBOW left and now they have a better ranked recruiting class than last year, even with all the de-commitments. OU is much scarier now than they were 2 months ago
We're very lucky to have Coach venables back in the morning again he's not just a football coach she has a great philosophy on guidance and counseling his players and making outstanding adults and NFL players out of them. I'm looking forward a lot to seeing the new season start
BV's language is as if he never left oklahoma. He's speaking as though he's always been our guy. This is a gentleman who knows his place and his ready to start a legacy. One more B for the Sooners record books. And only true sooners know a B at head coach is a national title.
The excitement is back at Oklahoma. BOOMER SOONER The farther we get away from the breakup trauma and ex's effort to take all the bank account's assets, it feels we just took the red pill and realize it was the best breakup ever.
Im sorry but didn't care for Adam Gorny his facial expressions like he wished Brent would stop talking...I honestly could listen to this man talk all the way up to the season love B.V MUCH LOVE #BOOMERSOONER#
I bet Adam prepared multiple questions, but Venables talks at length on everything. He did a makeup interview for signing day and he turned 11 questions into an hour and a half ... :D
Try again....even when TBOW was here we supported him to the fullest. We all saw that he had major flaws and couldn't motivate his team to be ready to perform, yet we still supported him. BV is cut from a different cloth. It would be impossible for him to do any worse than TBOW did while here.
