The Gatwick Express is quite a bit more expensive than the regular stopping trains but you save only around 10 minutes. As a London local I would never advise anyone to ever take the Gatwick Express.

In London we made it to Poppies too, it was the best food. Their lemonade, I wanted to bring a case home, it was delicious, even to this day. LONDON is one of my favourite cities to visit. On line you can find free walking tours, we did the Dickens one, we saw back alleys and parts of the city we would have never gone into. It was a great Walk about. Try it next time you are there.

Glad you had an awesome 7 hours in London! I studied abroad there last semester and really loved it. And i'm glad everyone was nice but live there for a couple months and you'll start to see that's not always the case. Not in a bad way, but London is a big city and people are doing their own thing! Definitely next time you're there check out some markets! And London is pretty well known for its amazing Indian food as well.
I hadn't a clue it was known for their Indian food haha when I come back, definitely will need to check it out!

Was just about to ask if it was worth it. I have a 8hr layover in London in a few days and wasn't sure if it was a good idea to use one or not. Unfortunately I need to be back to Heathrow during rush hour. Heard the Tube is crazy at that time. Guess I'll only use a black cab if absolutely necessary. Cheers!

HI!! Can I ask if you guys had to go through the UK border? (Immigration) and if so, how long did it take? my hubby and i are going to istanbul soon and will have a 7.5 hour layover in heathrow london and need to plan whether or not we have time to go out and do something, anything! thx in advance!

This is similar to what a friend of mine did in Seoul! She had a 13 hour layover, so we crammed as much in the day as possible before she left me. 😂

Can you do a video on how to understand the money conversion in Europe? Kinda like a How-To also? Like, when traveling can we just swipe our American issued debit/credit cards and the amount automatically converts in Europe, or it doesn't work that way? I think it'd make a very educational video. Do i need a visitor visa to get out of the airport during layover? I already have a Canadian visa and USA visa.

Did you rack up heavy charges on your phone (using it in London I mean)? Or did you purchase a temporary international plan, or...? I'm traveling to London in September, for last time in a few years (I go to Europe once a year but I have always left my phone behind in US to not get charged..;;) as a hs graduation gift from my mom, and I really wanted to bring my iphone this time so I wondering if you had a way to use your phone but avoid charges/etc?
We didn't use anything but the wifi, so no charges at all! If you want to bring your phone and use it, just purchase a temporary sim card and as long as your phone is unlocked you can put the new sim in and use it, no problem.

Girl, download Maps.me! its an offline maps app that can give you step by step directions just like google maps. After getting lost in the Philippines at 1am and no one being able to help me, ill never leave without it again! lol
