Wolfgang von Trips , also known simply as Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips and nicknamed 'Taffy' by friends and fellow racers, was a German racing driver. He was the son of a noble Rhineland family.
He participated in 29 Formula One World Championship Grand Prix races, debuting on 2 September 1956. He won two races, secured one pole position, achieved six podiums, and scored a total of 56 championship points.
At the time of his death von Trips was leading the Formula One World Championship. He had previous incidents at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, where he crashed cars in the 1956 Italian Grand Prix and the 1958 Italian Grand Prix, and was injured in both events.
The 1961 Italian Grand Prix on 10 September saw von Trips tightly locked in the battle for the Formula One World Drivers' Championship that year with his teammate Phil Hill. During the race at Monza, his Ferrari collided with Jim Clark's Lotus. His car became airborne and crashed into a side barrier, fatally throwing von Trips from the car, and killing fifteen spectators.
Von Trips was on course to become the first German to win the Formula One World Championship.

I think one thing is wrong in the reenactment is that his body was not thrown across the track that was debris. He landed on the same side as the car and fans.🏁 R.I.P.
Horrifying. I'm a type 1 diabetic too with blood sugars going down all the time and I could NEVER. Rest in peace. Why were the spectators killed if they were standing on the other side of the wire fence?

In reality, there wasnt any fence, he simply flew into the crowd
@@CRASHSimulation In the original video the fence was about 3 feet high and the crowd was on a grassy hill watching the race.

No. From the real footage, Von Trips moved to the outside to better prepare for the turn down the Parabolica. Sadly, he collided with Jim Clark which sent them both into the barriers.

It’s 61 years since Wolfgang von trips and several spectators were killed in monza thanks to von trips car hitting Jim Clark’s lotus and sent his car flying into the grandstand and killing him and several spectators

This "reenactment" is totally inaccurate. There was no retaining fence between the track and the spectators. That is why so many people were killed. The body of the dead driver DID NOT go across the race track. He was lying on the sand surface between the race track and the spectator area to the right. Down arrow. Not subscribing and not watching any more of your click bait videos.
