Our pom is such a spoiled shit. We got him 10/2020 after the pandemic hit in the US. Since then, one of us has worked at home nearly every day since then, MAYBE once every 2 weeks he has to deal with 5 to 6 hours of someone not a home. The only thing that makes it worthwhile is seeing his crinkle noise smile when we come home, SO excited to see us. To his entire credit, not a SINGLE thing has been chewed up since we've had him that we didn't give for him to chew. Literally not one. It's insane
Thank you for this video, it was very reassuring to hear. My husband and I both work full-time, and although our work schedules are not the same, there are some days where our 9 month old pomeranian is at home with our six-year-old cat for anywhere from five to seven hours. On those days, we make sure she gets two walks beforehand and another walk when one of us gets home. She has a few water dishes to chose from, and we leave her a puzzle with treats inside and a kong filled with frozen patee for her to work on. She's also trained to use her pee pads. Sometimes she uses them, other times she has waited for us to come home for her next walk. We've thought about getting a dog cam but we've always come home to her being relaxed but glad to see us. -- Still, that doesn't stop me from worrying or feeling guilty about leaving her alone, even though it's fairly clear that she isn't bothered.
This is one of the best videos I have seen for people who can’t be at home for work. Like I am single and plan on being single when I eventually get a dog and while my cat has adapted to my schedule I was concerned that I may never be able to make a puppy work with my life. So thank you for the tips.
My Pom sings a soulful sad howling song whenever someone gets up to use the bathroom. He hates being alone. We can’t imagine leaving him home alone and have rarely done that. He fits into a purse and I actually sneak him in everywhere that I possibly can.
😂😂 I can't leave mine alone. My neighbors would kill me. It's how I got him in the first place. His previous owner had to many noise complaints about him.
Leaving my pom alone is going to be harder for me than my pup lol I work from home now so I've been with my now 19-week old pom puppy 24/7. (except for when I'm sleeping) I know this isn't good for him. At what age should I start leaving him alone? Also, I'm having a hard time socializing him because he is so afraid. He just sits there shaking while the other puppies play. He is really tiny. Could his size be a factor or is this common with Pomeranians? New subbie!
Hey Kimberly! Hopefully our video has given you some good tips on how to start leaving your pup at home! With socialisation we've got a number of different videos looking at the best ways to do it, here's one you might find helpful: ruclips.net/video/OKIheta_nbA/видео.html. We also have a socialisation masterclass over on our website you might find helpful as well, you can find out more details over on www.fenrircanineleaders.co.uk

Can i be a doctor and have a pomerainan?
I asked my Pom. She said the doctor part is find as long as you take him/her with you. She said it’s illegal to do otherwise.
