I know that you will get a lot of flack for not siding with the "correct" reading (Essene, Sadduccean, Karaite, Pharisaical, whatever else is out there) but we want you to know that we appreciate this well thought out, and informative teaching. Thank you for giving me the chance to knock the cobwebs out of my gray matter to re-examine our own position. May Adonai bless you as you continue to provide a sharpening stone for all of those who are willing to challenge their own preconceptions and remain teachable. (Prov. 19:20; 27:17) And, no, we don't always agree, but I always appreciate your perspective.

I had to go through this video because as a new gentile Messianic believer, I noticed Eretz Yisrael celeberated their Shavuot this last weekend whereas there are a few who are still counting to the following weekend. Now it is clear. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure “gentile believer” is an oxymoron. Gentile mean nation. In context, another or other nation, as in not a part of YHWH’s Nation: Israel (the Whole House of Jacob). If we are of Jeshua Messiah, our nationality is changed to citizenship in Israel. It’s good to know who we are in Christ 🙌🙌🙌

Quoting from the ancient Septuagint Version, Le.23:15c,16a reads, "seven full weeks: until the morrow after the last week you shall number fifty days."
So at least as far back as 250 B.C.E., it was believed "seven sabbaths" meant seven weeks.
Considering the "three days and three nights", one can read the following from the "The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament" by Harris, Archer and Waltke, pg 478,9; "Instructive, in this connection, are three days and three nights of 1Sa.30:12,13 tells us plainly that 'Today is the third [day]." Therefore it may be concluded that the expression is a sterotyped formula which applies when any part of three days is involved, not an affirmation that 72 hours have expired."
It is an idiom, an expression peculiar to the Hebrew language, e.g. of an English idiom is, "It is raining cats and dogs" or "all hell broke loose."
Someone unfamiliar with English idioms reading those phrases may think cats and dogs were literally falling from the sky, or who knows what the latter would manifest in a person's mind.
It would not be unreasonable to understand "three days and three nights" is a Hebrew idiom that is not to be understood literally.

Just looking at Scripture Yeshua was raised up just BEFORE the CLOSE of Shabbat. Yeshua entered the Eternal Rest of Yahweh. It would not have seen Sunday. Shabbat is a day of RESTING from our labours and drawing near to Yahweh Elohim with gratitude and thankfulness for bringing us INTO His REST. I feel that this also speaks of entering Yahweh's ETERNAL REST. His SHABBAT. (Yeshua was raised up on the 3rd day). Hosea speaks of this 3rd day. Seven rests and the 7th day of the week have the same meaning. It has a deeper meaning. Wednesday (Yeshua has the Seder before the biblical close of the day 6pm) Wednesday (Yeshua crucified at 3pm/9th hr, and place in a tomb (1st night) Thursday (1st day and 2 night), Friday (2nd day + 3rd night) Saturday (was the 3rd day). - 3 night and 3 days as the Scriptures have spoken.

At around 11:35 you mention he ascended to heaven after telling Mary not to touch him Sunday and returned in time for Thomas to see and touch him Sunday evening.
However, according to John 20:19-25 it is clear that “on that day” Thomas was not with the disciples. And Eight days later is when Yeshua appeared to Thomas.
That would be 8 days from the “evening of the first day”…

According to scripture (Exodus 12:3), on the 10th Day of the first month (Month of Abib), ancient Israel were to select a lamb that would be offered as a Passover lamb in 4 day’s time. This invariably means that every 10th day of the first month of each biblical year is a commercial day i.e. working, buying and selling / selection of the lamb takes place. Linking this date with Gospels in the Brit-Hadasha, we find that Jesus entered Jerusalem round about the same date (10th of Abib).
If the Messiah was cut (crucified) on Wednesday the 14th of Abib, than it means that 4 days earlier, it would have been a Saturday Sabbath, this means the entire congregation of Israel would on each 10th day of first month of the biblical calendar year, would always be violating the Sabbath Day rest command of no buying nor selling or working.
Please reconsider your calendar, be blessed 🙏🏿.

Yahuah gave "Moses" instructions as to what they (he and the priests) were to do "when ye be come into the land." Leviticus 23:10. He did not give instuctions to do it annually or forever. Joshua and the priests did it, once, then, "when they came into the land."

Furthermore, you did not recognize other passages like Ex.34:22, "You shall observe the feast of weeks", and Nu.28:26 which reads, "Also in the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new meat offering unto Yahweh, after your weeks be out".
2Ch.8:13 reads, "and in the feast of weeks", and Je.5:24 says, "he reserves unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest."
The emphasis, when counting to Pentecost(Shavuot) is on seven weeks or 49 days, not on seven weekly sabbath days!

Is anyone here in 2021 trying to calculate Firstfruits? With the first day of Unleavened Bread being on a Saturday night-Sunday, can Firstfruits and the first day of Unleavened Bread be on the same day? I may be missing something, but I don't see anywhere it says the first Sabbath after Unleavened bread. Only the first Sabbath after you harvest the crops. Also, if you wait until the next sabbath, since that is the first sabbath after unleavened bread, the next day is April 4th, being outside the 7 days of unleavened bread. So I am led to believe Firstfruits is on March 28 this year. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Thanks and shalom!

We have Unleavened Bread beginning on friday night to saturday night. FF would be on Sunday March 28th. It looks like for the calendar you are following March 28th will be the first day of Unleavened Bread and First Fruits.
      We hope this helps.

Hello. I was glad to see your post because this year is unusual and I was just studying it. I hope you are still around to chat about it. I have attended a congregation that puts out a Holy Day Schedule and this year they have Pentecost (Shavuot) on May 16th. Another congregation that I have been attended more lately and enjoy the teaching very much, has Pentecost (Shavuot) on May 17th, but if I look at what I understand from scripture and have been counting for over 25 years, I have Pentecost (Shavuot) on May 23. So, let's look at these differences and see if we can figure it out together. To get to May 16th as Pentecost, you would have to start the count from the day after the Sabbath March 27th. Technically, March 27th is a weekly Sabbath but outside of the Days of Unleavened Bread. I have always thought the weekly Sabbath you look for to find the day after to start the count has to be INSIDE of the Days of Unleavened Bread. So I don't think this is correct. To get to May 17th as Pentecost, which is a Monday, you have to be going by the Hebrew Calendar that always puts Pentecost (Shavuot) on Sivan 6. This year this ends up being Monday the 17th on our calendar. But this can't be right because Yahweh tells us to count. If the day is fixed, why count? I think we are suppose to count. So that leaves May 23. How did I come up with May 23? The only Sabbath day in the Days of Unleavened Bread is March 28th. It also happens this year to be the first day of Unleavened Bread. But that is OK. No where does it say the wave sheaf can't be the First day of Unleavened Bread. Some people have said you can't work on the First Day of Unleavened Bread because it is a Holy Day. True, but at the same time there were always things the priests did on Holy Days or Sabbaths that we might think of as work but I think what Yahweh commanded them to do they did, Sabbath or not. Anyway, hope this raises good conversation and food for thought. Shalom.

Hi thanks so much for your work guys. Yah has blessed you with much knowledge!
I have wondered about the topic of 1st day of ULB being called a sabbath. At 11:25 the diagram has the words "high sabbath". I understand that it is a rest day, but earlier you mentioned that it is not called a sabbath 7676. Also how then is it called a special Sabbath in John19vs32 for example. Would this not then refer to it being the weekly sabbath, which then messes up the 3days and 3 night count?

Not saying this is incorrect as I have not come to any full conclusion one way or the other, but in regards to the Father establishing patterns to follow, it stands to reason that since every other feast/observance has a specific date then this would, as well. To not have a specific date does not follow the pattern of the other observances which all have a specific date. Also, if the end if the counting comes to Pentecost, the day that the Holy Spirit was given, then was not the Spirit given on a specific date? It doesn't make sense that the date the Spirit was imparted would jump all over the calendar. The Spirit was given on a specific date of the Hebrew calendar. Just the questions i have thought about in regards to this debate.

3 days and three nights does not equal …”the third day.” (At least in our English modern way of speaking.). The third day is a huge theme through the Tanaka. Multiple times in the NT it is said Yeshua would or did rise on third day. Even from Yeshua himself. Also notably the day of his resurrection was the 3rd day. (Road to Emmaus verse). He rose on 3rd day and that must equal what was meant by 3 days and 3 nights. Words and time reckoning are a little different in Hebrew thought. Pray about it.

Verse 11 is Unleavened Bread/ the morrow after = the 15th day, from the "old produce of the land" ... And Verse 12 is the morrow after that/ the 16th day, when they ate of the "increase" of the land/ or the new produce, in which the "first fruits" of that would of course go to YHWH.

Maybe you can find out how much barley is in a sheaf, but it isn't probably going to be a lot. So, I'd pray about it. Since this is a grain offering that goes to the priest, there isn't an exact equivalent for us today. Shalom!

    But let me add a twist to this one;
The blood of the pass over lamb covered the first fruit of the womb, of all who put there blood around they're doors ( covered the first born males of man and animals).Everyone who did not use the blood, lost the "first fruit of the womb".
Those who were redeemed, became the Priest, until the golden calf, then the Levites took over.
If it was the day after the weekly Sabbath, there would be no reason to count the days, easy to remember the day after the 7th weekly Sabbath, right!!!
All this is in my study!!
    What do you think???

  • @tompadori89

I agree but disagree. I think it is more likely whith a thursday crusefiction. The three days and three nights ought to be counted whith inclusiv counting. Becouse thats the counting they had at that time. you count the day that it happend. Jesus died and was buried the first day. He was not buried after the nightfall at 6 oclock which is a sabbath or a holy day the 15:th of nisan Jesus starts his counting whith days and then nights. So his death schould be on day time. likewise with his buriel and that day also must counts as a day. The real intresting part whith this counting is that when Jesus rises up on the 17:th of nisan the sunday first day of the week. He is risen on the third day whithin the feast of unleaven bread. Not counting from his death but from the feast wich explain the writings of Mathew and Luke that often refers to the jewish tradition - they are pointing to the bikkurim which they expect us too understand . While mark does not and uses the frase after three days whith the greek word "meta". Still we must count inclusive even whith Mark becouse that was how they were counting at that time. First day thursday, secund friday and third saterday. And then rised up again after three days but at the same time on the third day of the feast of the unleavend bread. But i agree whith al the rest in the video.

Shalom my dear brothers. I have a absolute clear proof that your calendar must be incorrect. With all respect for your honest research of course. But this isnt deniable.
There is an App which gives you any Information about the Sun, Moon Phases etc.! I used this to look on which days it is a darkness on a day very near of the spring equinox (from year 28 to 38 AD). I saw that only on one day, on day 3. April 33 AD, which was a friday, one day before Shabbat, 13 days after spring equinox, one day before was 1. new year day, the Saturday before spring equinox, was a partial moon darkness from the sunhour 6 to 9. I conclude that this can be only the year and date messiah was crucified with darkness of the moon on that friday from the 6. to the 9. hour on a sundial... If we know that one time he celebrated pessach on 13. day of first month, because he will be the sinoffering on 14. day, the year begin 14 days before, on the Shabbat before spring equinox. THATS an undeniable MATCH I think.
Its impossible that he was crucified on a different day, because all other years are no darkness of the sun or moon at that explicite time and even in the near of spring equinox. HE MUST BE CRUCIFIED ON 3. April 33 AD, on a friday and rose from death, one day after the weekly Schabbat in the morning the scripture said... He hasnt fullfilled the 3 days and night in this way, but maybe it means, he will be dead on 3 different days. Even if this arent 3 full days and nights, he was dead on friday, saturday and a few time of the morning on Sunday... I saw this darkening of the moon with my own eyes exactly on screen and just found it in year 33 AD for that time. It was from 12 o clock to 15 o clock on that day... this means from the 6. to the 9. hour on a sundial... like the scripture was talking about...
The more I cannot say, but I think that the saturday before or on the day of spring equinox must be the 1. day (and weekly Shabbat) of the first biblical month. Every month has 30 days. The rest I cannot say for sure actually. Maybe my research is helping you. I also have pictures which on my handy from that special events on 3. April 33 AD.
I do not believe in the Calculating with new moon, but 14 days before he was crucified, there was saturday AND New moon. Both could be the sign how a new year is calculated. Option 1: The saturday before or on the day of Spring equinox, or the first new moon which have his fullmoon coming after the Spring equinox, introduces a new year. I also deny like you the calculating of feastdays and shabbats with the moon. So I conclude: Saturday before or on the day of Spring equinox.
Thank you for reading. Have some pictures from the monitor, where I photographed the darkness of the moon from the time of 12 to 15 o clock (6. to 9. hour on a sundial) from that special day 3. April 33 AD.
Just write me, if you have questions. Shalum.

I have only watch this video until minut 12 because there are too many mistakes in the information presented. It seems to me that the main assumption of the presenter is the H7676 only refers to the weekly Sabbath. However, this is NOT the case. Take, for example, Leviticus 23:32, speaking of the Day of Atonement, it uses H7676 two times. It is a reference to the 10th day of 7th month, not a weekly Sabbath. H7676, again speaking of the Day of Atonement in Leviticus 16:31 uses H7676.then, there is this idea of Jesus being crucified on Wednesday. This teaching can be very easily shown not to be consistent with biblical reckoning. In fact, I am query disappointed to learn they this ministry spreads this unbiblical teaching as it claims to be teaching according to the Bible.

AT MINUTE 4:26 YOU SAY TO TROW IN THE TRASH OTHERS TEACHINGS however if you understand the scripture reading about the events on the month of abib is logic that reading leviticus 23:14 IS A FOOD RESTRICTION FROM THE 2ND OF ABIB (first of abib is a new moon day and is like a sabbath and can not be a fasting day you must eat GOOD FOOD is a thanks giving day) until the wave of the sheaf of barley in my opinion those day we can eat only vegetable and fruits until the 9th of abib when in the morning the priest wave the sheaf of barley then from 9th of abib is permitted to eat barley bread made of barley flower salt and water with vegetable anf fruits then on 14th of abib is an obligation to eat BITTER vegetable BARLEY BREAD AND the Goat or Lamb HOWEVER STARTING ON THE 15TH OF ABIB IS A HAPPY TIME WE GOT OUT FROM EGYPT AND WE SHOULD CELEBRATE THE TENT DAYS FROM 15 TO THE 21 OF ABIB on 22nd of abib is a sabbath then on the 23 everybody must go home away from jerusalem AS I SEE THE BIBLE WAS MODIFIED BY THE RABBI only the blinde cant see ....about barley bread speak with yemenite jews that is the sadness bread which they eat at passover , is jesus the sadness bread? he say that ...he give to his disciples and say THIS IS MY BODY ... ....the first fruits are on shavuot read leviticus 23:17 but jesus speak about the barley bread that is his body not the loaves of bread from shavuot DO YOU EAT BARLEY BREAD AS YOU COMmEMORATE THE CRUCIFIX OF JESUS ? WHAT FOOD HAD JESUS IN HIS PLATE WHEN JUDAH put his bread in jesus plate ? it was wine ? no because he had wine in a cup not on a plate jesus deep the bread in a plate with ? what was in there ? what was jesus seder ? what they eat at the seder ? his seder was on the 13th of abib ? ...thank you

ELIAD SAVEL you say all this but scripture says that the feast of unleavened bread is until the 21st at even, meaning that’s when it ends, from the 14th at even until the 21st at even... that is 7 days
“In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.”
      ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

at minute 3:34 the first fruits are in shavuot read leviticus 23:17 however read again leviticus 23:14 DO YOU SEE THE R E S T R I C T I O N ?????? because of the restriction it wood be a sin to eat any matza bread before the priest wave a sheaf of barley and logic that the blessing to wave the sheaf of barley is made the sabbath before the 14th of abib leviticus 23:11 or if you follow the satanist teaching ( jeremiah 17:5) you will say that jesus was a criminal like you he desrespected the creator father teachings because himself eat the matza with his disciples and the story say that jesus gives matza to his disciples and call it ......this is my body ....without the blessing of the priest before 14th of abib ? the real holy day for the wave a sheaf of barley is on the 9th of abib ...8th of abib is always a sabbath day read in the book of jashua chapter 4:19 the israelites crossed the jordan on the 10th day but 3 days before 10th of abib which means 7-8-9 the israelites sanctify them self , they cross the jordan river they got circumcised then on the 14th of abib they commemorate pass over ....TO COUNT FOR SHAVUOT YOU MUST START WITH THE 9TH OF ABIB and count for (read leviticus 23:15-16 and devarim 16:9 ) 100 days until the priest wave the two loaves of bread which are THE FIRST FRUITS FOR YEHOVAH READ LEVITICUS 23:17 ....run away from satanist teachings jeremiah 17:5

in leviticus 23:10 you are confused that are NOT Yehovah first fruits ( the first fruits of YOUR harvest ,...however THE FIRST FRUITS OF YEHOVAH are in levitivus 23:17 YOU NEED TO LEARN TO UNDERSTAND THE THINGS YOU READ otherwise you become a satanist

Why did you post this comment? Go back and re-read it, and maybe delete it? Is this how Yah wants you to behave?

The day of atonement is the only moed referred to as Sabbath….never unleavened bread. So you are correct!
