  • This Series is designed to look at the Moedim of YHWH in a brief and concise way. Though these topics could be expounded and explained in long teachings, it is our goal to make these as short as possible while attempting to give certain amounts of detail at the same time. Though we hope to make a series that explains these days in greater detail in the future, we believe you will find this series informational just the same. This first teaching looks at Passover and Unleavened Bread.

Shabbat Shalom 119 😊 it seems that reasons and purposes are given from roughly the 4 min mark to the 7 min mark, Joel seems to crystalize the purpose of Yom Teruah it is a Gather to the House of Yah, the Feast Days that follow are Yom Kippur a Day to humble and atone and then Sukkot where we have the opportunity to camp 🏕 with the Most High to the Ages of Ages

Moedim is a word used for times other than feasts. In other words, feasts are moedim but moedim are not just feasts. Therein is a problem with teaching anyone that feasts were in place outside of the 1500 or so years inside the land simply because of the word moedim. They were not! In fact, Hosea 9 tells us that Yah would vomit His people from the land because of their ongoing sin and feasts as well as new moons (lunar calendar) and high sabbaths would CEASE! Of course this is because every feast instruction must include the physical temple in jerusalem and a functioning levitical system. Without both, no feasts are celebrated; they cease just like Yah said in Hosea 2. We cannot forget, Yah never wanted man to need a levitical system. His desire was for us to be a kingdom of priests (not just a family/tribe) each of us able to draw near. But the golden calf happened instead so Yah put the levitical covenant in place. It is this covenant that the writer of Hebrews calls "soon to pass away" because it is a "shadow." The new covenant has restored Yah's original plan; each of us able to draw near to Him and not just a certain family within a certain tribe.
What's interesting is that Jeroboam ignored Torah. He decided that it wasn't just Aaron's line of priests that could do what was commanded only to them; Jeroboam would just put those tasks (like lunar calendar authority, accepting sacrificing, determining & officiating feasts) on other men outside of the tribe of Levi. Jeroboam also decided that going to the only place on earth allowed to celebrate feasts, was not necessary. He would just decide they could be celebrated elsewhere. Jeroboam's sin in doing these things is described in scripture as some of the worst offenses against Yah. And people followed along with this evil of idolatry. IOW, they followed Jeroboam instead of Yah.
It's no different today. And anyone acting like Jeroboam, leading people to do what Yah has CEASED, is sinning. He is obviously NOT that person's Adonai.
"The Israelites persisted in all the sins of Jeroboam and did not turn away from them."

Let us not forget the information provided in scriptures from books such as 1 Esdras that were originally part of the 1611 KJV.
So Ezra the chief priest brought the Torah unto the whole multitude from man to woman, and to all the priests, to hear Torah in the first day of the seventh month. EZRA SHELIYSHIY (3 EZRA) 9:40 את CEPHER
This day is holy unto Yahuah; (for they all wept when they heard the Torah:) Go then, and eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send part to them that have nothing; For this day is holy unto Yahuah: and be not sorrowful; for Yahuah will bring you to honor. EZRA SHELIYSHIY (3 EZRA) 9:50-52 את CEPHER

      Shalom,
      Thanks for reaching out.
Numbers 9:10-11 states if they were unclean from touching a dead body or if they were traveling then they could do it the next month. It doesn't mention anything about being unclean for any other reason.
10 “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean through touching a dead body, or is on a long journey, he shall still keep the Passover to the Lord. 11 In the second month on the fourteenth day at twilight they shall keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
      We hope this helps.
      Blessings to you and yours.

So are you saying Yeshua sinned by keeping the feasts and therefore was not our sinless lamb of Elohim that takes away the sins of the world? Or that we sin by following Him - the way, truth and life - Torah, the Word made flesh, as He called us to? It’s not clear to me anyway what you mean.

      Shalom,
Thanks for reaching out. We are not saying either of those things.
As we state in the teaching:
So Yom Teruah is a wake-up call for us to get our hearts and our lives ready. The day of the LORD is coming, and Yom Teruah reminds us that we must be prepared. We must be on the solid foundation of Messiah. We must hear and do God’s word. However,Yom Teruah is also a time to rejoice, because our king is coming soon, and he’s going to set everything right. We’re going to be resurrected, transformed, and able to dwell with God forever. Paul wrote about this in 1 Corinthians 15:51-57.
Messiah already has victory over death, in that he himself was resurrected. However, this “last trumpet” ushers in the resurrection of all who belong to him. This trumpet announces the culmination of Messiah’s work, when we will no longer have perishable bodies, but instead we will get to experience eternal life with him. This is the victory that will come after the judgment. So, we encourage you all to celebrate Yom Teruah, both as a day to prepare for judgment, and as a day to look forward to Messiah’s ultimate victory
1 Corinthians 15:51-57 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:“Death is swallowed up in victory.”“O death, where is your victory?O death, where is your sting?”The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ[Messiah Yeshua].
      We hope this helps.
      Blessings to you and yours.
