I think Jean-Ives Fourmeau is a fabulous musician/saxophonist. When I tried to rate with 5 stars (the best), I don't think it worked right as it was my first time on RUclips. Fourmeau is the best today!
If you like this, you should listen to James Umble. I was lucky enough to have him as my teacher for 2 years. Mr. Umble studied with Jean-Marie Londeix and has 2 CDs out now I think.
MDR)
Deffayet died before Marcel Mule, in 1988 (Rip). He was a really great saxophonist. Think there are no masters of the saxophone anymore, many play very good, such as Vincent David (maybe the best in France actually), Jean-Denis Michat or Arno Bornkamp, David Alonso Serena in spain... Those are very, very good saxophonists !!!
I have never really been a fan of Fourmeau's sound. He's a great player and I have a great respect for him, but I just don't hear his sound as one that fits this piece very well and I don't want to sound like this at all!
very well played indeed!.. but what a horrible piece of music.. totally reminds me of the obligatory meaningless music that one has to go through when studying classical sax. I think it doesn't appeal to anyone except for saxophone students/teachers..

This Piece is by Andre Wainein, Deux Mouvements For Alto Saxophone/Piano.

he has the most natural sound in the world,it is to compare with the sound of David Oistrach.
