I think, and I hope, that moving away from premade palettes and curating for customization is becoming more of a trend. I've always been uncomfortable with the extra products in palettes that I never wanted and so I've always made my own. Love that you're showcasing this as an option!
This made the little girl in me who is nostalgic for those toy makeup kits of lip glosses and eyeshadows that barely worked, and highly compact palettes my mom used and I used to see in beauty counters like Estee Lauder and Avon beauty catalogs that I would circle things in as if me at 7 was going to buy them haha. I think what they had in common was packaging, being more compact, and often curated with certain themes and also undertones in mind and to be easy to travel with or use as one-and-done and even at that age it made me want that sense of "put-together-ness", hence wanting play makeup that resembled it too lol. This was really satisfying to watch and can't believe I'm actually saying things like "this makes me nostalgic" for another time haha. Also the diy aspect with your expert technique is just wonderful.
Yes! I've done the same this past week. It can certainly speed up a getting ready routine as you don't have to look for and open multiple products. Hint: I use a fine-tip Sharpie to write the product on the bottom of the pan so I don't have any extra thickness, or when I want to re-use the pan, it will wipe clean with 91% alcohol.
I absolutely love the Inglot Flexi palette from the freedom system for this purpose. I’ve done it for years, I just love the idea of reaching for one palette for my whole face. I’ve got cinema secrets cream foundation melted in small empty Inglot square pans for foundation and concealer. And I’ve got Sydney Grace shadows and blush. Melted clear lip balm, melted lipstick mixed for my perfect shade (use on cheeks too) and RCMA no colour powder mixed with a bit of shaved off hourglass ambient light power and pressed into a pan. Making the perfect one and done palette for me is seriously my passion 🤣 Then I had to hunt for the perfect travel solution for my palette. I found the ESUM brush book perfect. The Inglot palette fits nicely behind the brush loops, my expensive bushes fit well without getting squashed and I put skin care, primers, mascara etc in the clear pocket. Did I mention this is my favourite hobby 😂😂
This is amazing!! I need a custom eyeshadow palette for all my cream shadows. We are in 2022 and I have yet to find a good quality cream eye shadow palette. I'm continuously investing in individual one and done shadows.
I would love for you to go into a more in-depth explanation of the process of curating these palettes: what do you gravitate for and why! I for one think that palette you made is absolutely gorgeous, and would be excited myself to be using them! But would love to know what makes the cut for you and what doesn't, thanks!!
i don't know which one she is using, BUT i find great eyeliner brushes at the arts and crafts stores! super cheap and durable, i pick any that is the size that i like and they do go super small which i love!! they're made for painting and so i use them for painting with makeup! 🙂
What were the two brushes you used for the face? I prefer smaller brushes for makeup and they look wonderful. One had a white handle the other black handle.
Damn this is so pleasing! I've been wanting to make a palette like this for myself but a powder and cream version. Do you have any recommendations for storing both cream and powder in a palette?
separate the powders to one side and creams to the other side as much as possible since you don't want them to get into each other, you should opt for a little bit of a bigger palette in this case, which may defeat the purpose..i'd go for two smaller but separate ones personally 🙂
@@HT-mu4yc those lil palettes are so tiny I think I'd need to have 2! I will say, this cream palette is so aesthetically pleasing. Imagine bringing just that to travel.
OMG this is just rad, Harry! A little question from an oily skin gal - do you think crushing pressed powder and then depotting it (which means mixing with alcohol) will affect powder's quality?
Thank you. The eyeshadow is trinny london queen and the red lipstick is Lisa Eldridge Velvet Dragon. Both are linked in the description of you need the links ;)

Does the creams dry out in the artist kit company palettes?
Great video! Doesn't melting cream products change the formula?

Yes it’s on my list!x
What were the two brushes you used for the face? I prefer smaller brushes for makeup and they look wonderful. One had a white handle the other black handle.

I also want to make my own kit but can't find empty case. Where I can get this empty platte.

Yay love this!

Nice!
Can you remake a video like this and link the palette or make a video making it?
The shades on your custom palette are gorgeous! (And the labels are so pleasing, haha). What’s the red shade you’re wearing? It looks lovely on you!
I think is queen
Thank you. The eyeshadow is trinny london queen and the red lipstick is Lisa Eldridge Velvet Dragon. Both are linked in the description of you need the links ;)
@@HarryMakesItUp thanks for the reply! Lisa’s lipsticks are superb!
My Flower but and pink blush is my ride or die. Too bad they discontinued that line.

I’ve listed some options in the description box :)
@@HarryMakesItUp thank you Harry
I use the palettes by Yaby Baby.
I wish u could buy something like this. I don’t use makeup often so don’t want loads of products and packaging.
Please don't use Asmr microphones to record makeup content. It's annoying!
