My ex of four years got with two of my best friends. The whole friend group accepted this, but I didn’t. So I walked away. I was told to, “grow up” and deal with it. Nope. That’s not how friends act. Currently I now have a whole new group of people who are amazing and I never would have met them if I didn’t set up healthy boundaries!! It was hard for a bit, but what you are saying is so true. Stick to healthy boundaries and the good will come with time. 💯💯💯

BOUNDARY At 64, I'm only now beginning to understand the importance of saying "no", not being weighed down by other people's expectations. I even struggled while watching this excellent video. I had to keep fighting feeling guilty, like I should have been "doing something for someone".
This is how I treat my boundaries Think of your boundaries like a fence around your personal space. Not everyone gets the same level of access-you decide who comes in, how far, and for how long. If someone pushes, I politely but firmly remind them where the line is. If they keep crossing it, I either limit contact or shut the gate. My boundaries are there to protect my peace, not to make others comfortable. but Chad, you can jump my fence You’ve always been a great friend and I enjoy every minute of talking to you❤
Thank you for sharing this important topic. As a quadriplegic for the past 19 years I’ve deeply relied on others for every aspect of my life. Over time I’ve become a people pleaser because I’m afraid that setting boundaries might upset those who help me. This reliance has made me feel like I’ve lost a part of myself. Your video gives me hope and reminds me that finding a balance is possible, even in my situation.

I know from experience that if you walk in strong empathy, but don't have solid boundaries, you will suffer badly and burn out. This and developing self awareness will set you free.
backstabber of a former coworker somehow ran into me at gym after not seeing him for 15 years. Told him to F off in front of a gym full of people. Told him his fake juicehead ass was about to be ended if he did not get out of my airspace. I dont think i handled that as well as I could have... Still id rather be back in jail then have fake people talk to me. Bad or good people in jail are more real than what is walking around "free" at the moment. Creepy part was everyone heard what I said and did not even bat an eye. I was loud about I couldn't keep it in at all.
