If Cricket Australia or Fox Sports or whoever has the video rights of this series comes out with a DVD box set...I'll be the first one to place an order...😊✌
You guys either started watching cricket recently or have a short memory. Both of them (Lalor in particular, Haigh is a bit more subtle) are a bunch of racist douchebags with a superiority complex, with a long history of inflammatory anti-India reporting, current video notwithstanding.
One of the most impressive things about India’s victory is that it was a proper team effort. One century and only one or two 5 wicket hauls in an innings doesn’t sound great but they had players making 90’s and taking 3 or 4 wickets in an innings quite a few times. That shows that every player was making a contribution, rather than one player scoring a shedload of runs and another player taking loads of wickets.
@joey tribbiani That was actually an infrequent scenario. What used to happen most often was that Sachin used to get out in crucial moments (because of being mentally weak), and his loser fans masquerading as 'Indian fans' (yes the "Sachin is God" type) would switch off their TVs. A genuine Indian fan would stand by the entire team come what may, not just care about Sachin and nothing else.
This series was emotionally exhausting with all the crests and troughs both teams went through... and India never gave up! Kept coming back with resilience....like a Boxer who never gave up! kept hanging around till the knockout punch was an option and then went for it!
Aussies play hard Take pride in playing for the country But they are the first ones to appreciate competitive cricket. They are very warm people.I love Steve Waugh,Mathew Hayden,Adam Gilchrist and David Warner.
Well, first of all, thank you to the fiery characters like virat kohli and jasprit bumrah, who show how wild they can be, and yet, at the same time, how passionate they are for every wicket the team gets Mr Sourav Ganguly, along with his marquee team also deserves a lot of credit. For after the infamous match fixing saga, way back in 96, when cricket had become a subject of grand mockery and shame and betrayal, ganguly's marquee men brought back the trust. Yes Sachin, Ganguly and Rahul were not as aggressive as kohli, but they did their part with the bat and as a team. Remember, they dominated the border gavaskar trophy in 2003 - 4. And just like marquee MR Sunil Manohar Gavaskar himself, they didn't back away from the most brutal and scaring wars, inspiring a total generation unknowingly As indians, cricket means a world to us. Yes, it is not treated as a god, in terms of worship through flowers and others, but any player in that final 11 is a grand inspiration to many. For we know how tough it is to get selected in this team, and even more than that, to cope with the sheer pressure of expectations that every player gets, best understood and felt through the ipl, stage of madness and unforgiving brutality As a result, when any player finally comes into the national team, he forgets the money. For the entire focus is on the sheer pressure of performing to the expectations Thank you, Mr Mark Howard fod those marquee ending lines. The way you said " saini, with a groin injury ", and the rest will be remembered as a magical finishing touch to a revolutionary series for the indians
I understand that this is a podcast, but seeing a video of the two talking would add another dimension to the conversation. Many of the young players also played in the U-19 and the India A team- under the quiet leadership of Rahul Dravid...
What I understand is , the hypocrisy of the Australians as a nation, they never talk about the pathetic things done by the Australian cricket team, group bulling, racism, umpires being partial to the ausies, team getting involved in cheap cheat tricks, pitch tampering . These guys just gulp these away .. ashamed of such ppl
The way they remember and celebrate their defeat is pretty extraordinary as far as I am concerned. most of us Indians don't remember their defeat, and if we do we hate to talk about it. I applaud Australia to side with cricket and not jingoism.

Gideon Haigh & Peter Lalor are two of my favourite Cricket journalists...always a pleasure listening to them. Fantastic analysis!!

A Documentary would be amazing.
Yes, and somebody needs to release a time machine as well, to take you back to 2005 when DVDs were still used.

what an idea sirji
The only thing I dislike of this video is it's too damn short....Gideon and Peter....can listen to them for hours on end
Not shouting like indian reporters

There were only 3 hundreds (Rahane, Smith, Labuschagne) and 3 five wicket hawls (2 by Hazelwood and 1 by Siraj).

Absolutely right.... Classic series in the history of the Game
Extremely honest review. Can't believe this podcast has less than 1k views. Love the passion for this sport.
Two cool dudes...looking back & discussing key points without bias. 👍🏻
Delightful podcast. Really beautiful..
Replayed the conversation at least 30 times (once day). Very beautiful, accurate and honest.
Great work you are doing bro keep continuing this ...It's very good to hear other side views as well
Good podcast enjoyed listening great series. Keep up great work. Thanks
Only 19 mins? This panel should be engaged for an hour at the very least.
Bloody hell. I could listen to these two talking for hours. They seem to know more about indian cricket than some of our own "experts".
They are both racist douche-bags.

The difference between u19 and international cricket is A team tours to expose crickets to overseas conditions
It was like poetry, definitely the gift we all needed from a sporting point of view after such tough times,a moment in time!

Never thought I will hear Aussie commentators say “their 21 year olds are better than our 21 year olds mate..”
Great discussion.. but sadly they haven’t mentioned anything about Pujara..!!
I think most of script writer can't write such a story with awesome climax
1st view Great work keep it up 👌.
If this was a 5 test series, I'm not sure whether India would have been able to field an 11 for the final test.
Wonderful discussion
I dont get it why they say we lost first match so badly. session wise India did good. yes we lost but not that bad
Watch out for a young kid ISHAN KISHAN.
He is also a wicket keeper batsman and even more Exciting than rishab pant
He's 22, the same age as Rishab. In what world is a 22 year old a "young kid"?
In test no one
Literally no keeper is good batsman as Rishabh
As per today
So just stop comparing
Cam Green might go for a million dollars in the IPL auction.
