    I was 9 years old when I saw Star Trek the Motion Picture and upon seeing the revamped Enterprise, I fell in love with it. I totally understand what Kirk saw in her. You did Scotty proud.

    The most beautiful, powerful and inspiring ship the USS ENTERPRISE NCC 1701 REBUILD. the perfect UPGRADE FOR A MOTION PICTURE AND A FITTING HOMAGE to the original enterprise without whom we would not be here now praising the work man ship the designs the engineers the artists the creator of the world of trek who brought us the continuing Voyages of the Starship Enterprise. I was 18 when I first watched STMP having watched every episode of the original series. The original crew and the sheer magnificence of what was on the screen, I cheered and wept at my first look of the Enterprise on that screen and even today I can transport myself back to that 18 year old dreamer and still cry and smile at those perfect memories. Live Long and Prosper 🖖 and remember The adventure is just beginning .

    Literally for a couple of minutes I thought I was watching the Real Enterprise and not a model, incredible, such a beautiful ship and yes I really like it but I prefer the Original Constitution Class from TOS, that will always be my Favourite ship in Star Trek as well as the Excelsior Class.

    That base and control setup is amazing. Beautiful build on the Enterprise as well. I do hate to say, the runway strobes in the shuttle bay shouldn’t be there, that’s a Trek 5 thing. I know it adds more visual life to the ship but… still, clearly a labor of love and kudos all around! 🖖

    If you mount your camera to two long boards, like a 2x4 bolted to another in a cross formation you can get rid of the shakey camera effect by having so much weight far from the lens , it will add stability in two different directions. Also now there is an anti shake feature in most cameras.

    That design of ship , could only be built in space . It would be so ungainly in atmosphere .
    I don’t know why everyone insists it should be constructed on the planets serface . It’s a whole lot easier to put it together while in orbit , bit by bit , deck by deck .
    I mean the ISS was constructed that way . And look how long that’s been up there .
    Um , but here is the kink . Does there have to be right side up ?
    Just saying .

    I love how you did the spotlights faithfull to the original filming model with mirrors. Would you perhabs go into more detail on how you lightened the exteriour of the ship? Really awesome work!

      Hi there thanks. This project was 2 and half years of intense immersion into the subject in every details. A Labour of Love. It would be very difficult to put any of that into a youtube comment. I hope the video speaks for itself. Thanks

      @Nostalgic-Mechanic 5 месяцев назад +1

      That I believe. The result ist awesome, as for more detail, perhaps an idea for a follow up video😃 I have never seen a model of the enterprise with your technique used

      @@Nostalgic-Mechanic There is a playlist of my build videos on here, (Link below) and also a pinned comment above to some pictures i posted (facebook) I never added to the album, as it became a mammoth project, with several thousand photographs, all of very specific detail points as the entire model kit was overhauled, surgery performed, details tweaked, electronics mastered. The paint job alone took 5 months. The Baseboard took 2 months of building and fixing. Labour of Love. One could spend as much time explaining as one could building, let alone making videos to do the explaining. I have One pair of hands friend. I hope you enjoy the playlist. :)

    Does the saucer section separate?

    • @ModelDiver
      @ModelDiver  4 месяца назад

      Yes it can, i altered much of the details around the inter-connecting dorsal, and put steel pegs in to locate, so yes the saucer can seperate and re-attach. :)
