You think for a moment its cheaper to replace operators with machines that WILL NOT CORRECT MISTAKES- WILL NOT RESOLVE A QUERY - WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOUR COMPLAINTS - FORGET IT! The automation costs a fortune and the price to you is poor service.

    Cashless won't work. Around 16% of people are educationally sub-normal and would not be capable of managing a bank account. The banks are making a mistake (❓) - that move hurts their chances.

      There's also a misconception that institutions having 100% control is going to work.
      Are people going to accept this?
      ..
      Also, while the ability to use cash is still around, this allows economies to grow organically..
      ..
      If there's 100% control, this WILL collapse national economies, because of the narrow framework of allowed payments under a dig ital cur ren fee.

    Here's the thing. a fiver is a promissory note. It is guaranteed by the issuer, the government. people say that shops have a right to not accept the government's bill. i say that's a lie. It is the only form of money. eftpos and the like is not a permissory note. it is nothing but a series of 1 and 0 on a piece of plastic. It is not legal tender. They are inverting reality.

    do you notice how supermarkets have 2 prices for many things these days ? One price for their "card holders" and a higher price for NON-card holders. This is another means of trying to dupe people into giving away their info.
    If I go to a cash machine, withdraw £100 and go spend it, then they cant track how I spent that money. SOLUTION : get people to take up loyalty cards so they can get the cheaper price ( "oh...the benefits of being a "member" ) but they can now see how you spent some or all of that £100. You have to hand your card over to get the lower price......YOUR DATA IS OBTAINED and you walk away unaware.

    As a shop owner there are charge to rent the machines charged for each transaction for less than about £3 is not profitable. For anything less than that you might even make loss. And to make even worse we get charged to pay cash into a business account and charged for getting change to fill the tills.

      Sorry to be picky: you may have wealth, but you don't own the money. Money is a token produced and controlled by a third party that means you don't have to swap ten chickens for a pig, etc. What happens when you spend a tenner? it's now someone else's tenner but isn't owned by them. Additionally, banks technically own any wealth you deposit.

    • @colinrobinson4233
      @colinrobinson4233 Месяц назад +3

      @@fluxington technically yes, a bank note is a loan. It literally says it on it.
      But what happens when that bank note no longer physically exists?

    • @John-t2v
      @John-t2v Месяц назад +2

      You have got no money in the bank now . If everyone went to withdraw their cash on the same day the banking system dies overnight

    • @fluxington
      @fluxington Месяц назад

      @@colinrobinson4233 I would presume that it has been replaced with another one. I think wealth is like energy (it can only be converted from one form to another). When people talk about wealth creation, surely they mean someone else is paying. The printing of money should only ever match the wealth in circulation.

    What is needed is a law to say that if one offers cash to a shop they should be bound to take it. It's legal currency of the land. When cards are scammed and we wait for a new one or the system goes down. Supermarkets only want cash. Without it what ? It's all beyond stupid. Banks want it all their own way.
