- Did you like avocados when you were a kid? In this film we haul 43,000 lbs of them out of Mexico on a trucking trip going to Florida. Maybe you will like them a little bit more when you see all it takes just to buy an avocado from your local grocer.
the dancing avocados are gold!
Jack, you deal with the problems at the warehouses professionally. Trucking is an adventure!
As a subscriber, I've got a RUclips-notification 12 minutes ago. But I've watched "Avocado" on Sunday (in Germany) 😁 - RUclips seems to be late, but I try my best to minimize time-lags. One of my very YT-channel-favorites.
When I drove a Volvo I really liked it. Was a real smooth shifting truck, and I thought the interior was laid out really good. I shift is the way to go now days I think. Better fuel economy which means more $ in the O/O pocket. Lord knows we all need more of that. Enjoyed the video. Thanks. Be safe.
Wow! That's good backing up skills!
Another enjoyable and well edited video.
THANK U FOR ALL THESE WONDERFUL VIDEOS.
I enjoy all your videos Indiana Jack. Keep on trucking. God Bless.
The kids were hilarious! Avocados... definatly an acquired taste.
Loooool. Love this video. Beautiful home, beautiful kids, and the expressions at the end. Too funny.
Old Swede sounds quieter in the cab like she's better insulated from road noise and her interior has no squeaking, even on bumpy roads. The tiny fridge and table in the back, plus a little coffee maker are all nice upgrade perks. Nothing against Old Red though.
I was just at a birthday party last weekend where my friend had grilled a whole bunch of boxed pre-made burgers. Not all of them were consumed. I asked her what she was going to do with all those extra burgers. She told me she was just going to crumble them up and make chili out of it. I had never thought of using left over burgers that way.
You sir, are the master of backing up, very impressed. I've tried watching other trucking vlogs but keep coming back to yours because of the family friendly content, explanation of what you do and your laid back demeanour. ending with the kids was awesome. keep them coming.
Wow, can you imagine doing this run in the 1950's. No AC, No power steering, No air ride seats.
Guacamole with cottage cheese mixed in it tastes great for dipping
Once again thanks for the ride. I'll hurry up and wait for your next one, you know what I mean, Lol
Love your pop up avacados...great editing on your vids....keep on trucking IJ!!
I eat half of an avocado everyday. Hopefully my heart will live forever 😎😎 good video
Great video made me laugh!! Drive safe look forward to the next one!!
Wendy's. And I remember the Blue Angels as well... They were the "headliners" at the annual open house at NAS Meridian near where I grew up. They haven't held the open house for many years [since 9/11?] and I would love to see the BAs again!
To answer your question about which one I think is better Arbys or Wendys, I think neither is great, I want the old Mom and Pop Truck Stop food back, the ones where they made the homemade good food. So tired of all these fast food places in the stops now !!!.
You should open one, Brother! You'd make a mint, and sleep in your bed every night...
For all you new truckers out there two pieces of advice. 1)call the shipper if possible and find out if the load is ready. 2) call the shipper when you get close and confirm.
Nice backing job at the receiver Jack!!! Not Bad...
Jack that's the best looking Volvo I've seen, congrats..be safe..
When the shipper guys told you to go get a tare weight slip I wanted to reach through my computer and throttle them! You could have been standing there bleeding to death and they would've probably ignored you. I could feel your pain as you politely told them how nice it would've been to know about needing the scale ticket BEFORE you drove there! But you couldn't tell them how you really felt because you never would've gotten loaded. Those are the kinds of things that make trucking so "interesting". Great video Jack. You are the consummate professional.
It was good to meet you at NATS
Jack love the new truck. As always awesome videos!!!
Jack loves Ishift he tells a few time. Thanks Jack for sharing Ishift.
Love your videos Jack! Safe travels! 🤙🤙
That's smart I will use that on the bumpy roads we have up here in Canada, only a matter of time before I hit a bump hard enough I screw something up on my body (spine). That's crazy Jack they really need to do something for drivers, 4 hours wait time just to need to leave and go else where, then go get a scale ticket. Would have lost my composer at that point, good for you for having that restraint. Now I haul local, 12 hours a day pounding the pavement. Biggest difference from odr and local I find is with odr you can take a break. Local is 60 to 65 hours a week, week in and out. I miss having a week off once in a blue moon. All the best fella
love the dancing avocados and the calypso music, nice touch lol
Love ur videos jack love the editing lol stay safe keep on trucking
Great trip Jack! Glad you got away from the Texas border. Even though I'm a Texan, I don't go near the border. Really enjoyed the trip though. Nice backing job at your destination. Love avocados with salt and lemon and I was wondering if you, "like Ishift"? LOL, just kidding. From the sound, it shifts very smoothly, and I can see why you like it. Hope you're enjoying GATS.. Thanks once again for sharing your adventures. You're the best!
Good looking truck......
Hahahaaa I love the outtakes, please add more of them!
Great video. Teacher from GATS.
If that visit in the office had been at night I would of been scared. Be safe.
Always enjoyable videos thank you 😊
Great video and great backing in footage brother!!!!!
That was great Jack! 👍
Avocados with pink hymelain sea salt taste awesome.

I’m a new trucker and I love your videos! Keep it up!
Watched this as I was cutting up an avocado to add on top of my Flying J chef salad. Good stuff

Thank you for sharing!
Holy guacamole! That's a LOT of avocados. . .Also, I take it that you are kind of fond of iShift. . .LOL
Good content as always, the bloopers at the end was great!
You have such a polished intro, terrific
Another great video jack 👌

After you eat that Windy's chili you will need to use the Fab breeze. Lol
Dang you are grumpy this trip Jack lol
It's true about Wendy's chilli. Sometimes the hamburger meat is a week or two old kept in the refrigerator and boiled.
I loved trucking in Florida. They just need more truck stops. Bigger ones for more truck parking.
Jacket like to take a minute and say thank you I was forced into retirement miss the road certainly appreciate you taking us along and explaining things little something I look forward to when you get a new video out just want to sincerely say thank you stay safe out there
Great video Jack 👍
Great video. Common sense should tell people you are bracing yourself against the rough roads.
Enjoyed the ride. I like Wendy’s and Arby’s also. Chili is always good to eat and Wendy’s chili is very good. Have a nice weekend and be safe.
Every now and then, I get a new scale ticket of me empty with full fuel tanks so I know and can prove my weight to shippers like that.
A little grumpy have a snickers take care Indianajack good video
So funny. Those kids eating the avocado. 🤣
Sponsored as well now jack. Love your videos.
wow I worked at a Wendy's about 35 years ago and that is wrong if they had that many unsold hamburgers. At the store I was at we always cooked the hamburgers fresh and put them into the chili pot, I guess it all depended on the store and management but ours was always fresh square hamburger meat I still love Wendy's chili. Great show Indiana love the new red of your truck and as always keep on truckin....
Do you really like "I-Shift" Jack? lol! love your videos and the info you give on each one!
A great video mr. Indiana Jack
Nobody eats avocadoes. First you make them into guacamole! That's fantastic!
I take it jack that you like I shift ha ha great film my friend you take it easy
Diesel exhaust fluid......is called ADBLUE...here in the UK. I shift is great.
What a blessing you are we here in Maine eat avocado all the time at $1.49 each hope you got paid grate for the trip
Wow that's expensive!
Thank You Jack first first for a great vid and 2nd for the avocado test by those poor kids. I have never tried these fruits, they just look yucky to me, so now I know I will never try these things LOL
Good on ya mate. Cheers.
I like it where I shift the gears.
Wow that's interesting I used to buy frozen vegetables for a supermarket chain in Jersey all our broccoli came out of Mexico and trucks would get held up at the border at least a day
The kids at the end cracked me up😂
DEF or for us in Australia ( Adblue ) is actually made from 30ish percent urea which gives it that urine smell that you talked about. Helps break down the diesel exhaust fumes. 👍
Love the videos keep it up
I agree with the kids, the best place for avocados is in the store.
I love Arby's!!!!!!!
Eatery of choice: Wendy’s, 🍔🍟🥙 all day...every day...and twice on Sunday...lol😋 Safe Travels & keep the rubber down and the Shiny side up!😎
Hallo Jack i from is Ukraine. Nice truckers video is America.
OCALA FLORIDA HOME SWEET HOME. SHO DO MISS THAT PLACE.
Your full of Ishift... lol :-) Great Video !!
I've been binge watching your videos. I am really enjoying them. I am also learning alot. I'd like to know how you sync the videos of the road and the picture in picture of you? Tricks? This would be a great "Behind the Scenes" video. Thank you.
You gotta love Reefer! Why did you decide to do reefer? I'm guessing more load options but still....reefer is ok if your drop and hooking but live loads and wash outs take time.
the i -shift is beautiful so driver friendly
Love the new Swede!
I love your videos Jack. They are the nicest trucking videos I watch. I know you like your is high. My question is do you think it gets you better mileage then if you were manual shifting? I know that is hard to answer, just wondered what you feelings are about it.
maybe i was paranoid, but every heavy load, i scaled my load, and those pre-scaled loads, if you don't fuel 1st, the shipper will max u out, with a limited fuel supply, i didnt want to be stuck in the boonies out of fuel.
IT is true,my friends called me fry guy for a few weeks because I cooked fries. Then got put on the grill. All they do is drop the leftover paties that are getting over cooked into a container above the grill. They could sit there for hours before being refridgerated until the next day. Yum,yum.
That was in the 80's,had to cut my mullett to get the job, snif, snif.
Love Wendy"s chili is one of my favorites also.
what do you like most about IShift? and I thought you held your arm up to demonstrate how cool I shift is and you don't have to shift with your right arm. Love the videos Jack, Thank you for sharing with us.
love your videos jack.and my son drives a ishift he said he likes it but finds it boring .but he said it's all about making a living
Guacamole Express !!
Came for the avocados.
I guess you'll be loading in Yuma & Nogales before long. Could you tell the folks about the recorder they throw in the trailer to track the load temperature please? Just one more thing a trucker has to put up with. Loaded lettuce many times at Dole in Marina, CA. Always loaded me too heavy. Great video!
I would think more truckers would like auto-shifting. Takes a bit more fuel, but sure saves a lot of shifting.
My family used to go to the movies at El Toro MCAS.
The Louisiana state flag should have a picture of Jack holding on to the roof of his truck.
😂
Do you feel there's a Hugh difference between refrigerated and dry van freight and which would you rather do? Thanks.
I recommend running the reefer on continuous when you can.
Amen about the phones. I have Verizon. I block a spam caller. So Verizon 1) routes the call to voicemail (NO!) then 2) sets the LED to blinking to run down the phone's battery (NO!). Turns out blocking a spam caller costs extra, because they don't make money blocking a call.
You need the Cat Scale App. Just weight on your phone and go. Very slick!
