This grinder does not grind anymore. It makes a noise but the blades do not spin.
Please note, I do this for pleasure and knowledge, this is not in any way meant to be a tutorial.
I am not trained in any form of repair that I show on my channel and my methods are probably not the best or safest way of doing things.

I had to carefully drill a hole in the center of the base ( peel off the label and you'll see a slot in the center) to fit the screwdriver. The motor axle has a slot in its base which one can engage with a flat-bladed screwdriver to turn the axle manually when it becomes stuck. Mine got stuck probably from water entering from the bowl when I clean it, and the top of the axle probably rusted a bit. The bowl/axle seal is obviously not water-tight. Thanks for the video InMeShed!
Thanks for this info, I thought mine had been previously worked on, so this should help others.
I managed to fix my parents grinder using this video! Thanks so much! 😊
Totally saved this brand new grinder from the garbage - Thank you! Once I pried the hole to access the screw bigger, it was smooth sailing. Thanks again!
Makes no sense but it did actually work. Cheers!
Brilliant!! So simple, yet it worked. Thanks mate.
I just bought that grinder and it works fine. However, this is good to know in case something happens.
Aces! There was already a slot in line with the flat head screw post. I just jammed a smallish screwdriver in the slot and gently twisted counter clockwise maybe 30 degrees; the plastic was soft enough that the screwdriver widened the hole easily. Started right up. My wife was impressed, and I’m not going to disabuse her of this impression- I can use the good will!
Just did the same thing with a stuck Müeller (model 550K) grinder. There was a slot but I couldn’t see a slotted post, so I took the 3 screws out of the bottom cover and it came right off (don’t turn it back right side up or the assembly will drop a bit- I had a deuce of a time snugging it back in). The slotted post was right there- a quarter turn counter clockwise, replaced the cover, started right up.
Anyone need a grinder? (Just kidding! Who knows how long these repairs will last…)
Thank you, I just heated the screwdriver on stove and created a nice circle, it works.
If you hold the blade and rotate the under screw then the blade will come off for deep cleaning
Thank you it works great 👍
Worked like a charm! Thanks so much from LA mate!
Glad I helped in some way. Thank you for your kind comment.
I turned that screw about 2mm to the right since I didn't drill a hole for easier access and it started spinning again. Surprised it worked with that minor touch and happy cause I'm craving an espresso. Thank you!
Turning the screw on the bottom around in a similar way fixed the same issue for us, thanks!
Thank you, it worked
This worked for me made a hole with a small screw till l got though the plastic cover then kept turning the screwdriver till l got to the screw in the middle it now works like new 😊
Thank you so much
You sir, have saved the day! 💙💙💙
Thank you 🙏
many many thanks
Thank you! Worked Great!
worked a treat. thanks!
Great job. Glad it was something simple. Really enjoy your videos and love your beard! Very nice.
This video is perfect. So it was just clogged?
But I want to know how the fault developed inthe first place! Who tightened the screw too far and why? 😉
I was wrong when I first said it was too tight. The screw rotates with the blade. It was just jammed and impossible to turn the blade by hand, using the screw gave extra torque to enable it to turn.
Hrmm, mine isn't even making that buzzing noise, unfortunately. Might try messing with the screw, though. I thought it might be an internal fuse, but unless I can get to it thru that screw, I've got no ideas.
I guess you're going to have to get in there. Let us know how you get on.
Heh, I just threw it away and bought a Cuisinart spice grinder - has a nice removable bowl.
I did read the others comments, but without showing me how to access the screw, what good is it to me. I figured it was the screw, I couldn't figure out how to get it open, or access the screw....oh well.....
The screw was on the bottom under the label, it was the bit I was turning with a screwdriver. Hope this helps. 😁
@@InMeShed247 underneath the label! I was thinking they'd cut it in somehow. Just fixed mine, thanks!
😔 Sorry....this was truly useless.
I even have a Krups coffee grinder, and without him telling us what he did....well. Not a tutorial, indeed. But you might as well but it behind your back, pop out and go eureka!!! It's working now..... useless.
You might as put your device behind your back and we can go eureka!!! We wont have to read any more hateful critiques!
