I just got my palette yesterday. I noticed a lot of kick up in the pan, so tapped of my brush. I have a light hand anyway, so fallout wasn't such a problem. I love the versatility of the palette, the formula, blendability, and I like that they are not so over the top. I usually don't purchase large palettes because there are too many of those shades, and I won't use them often. If I could change something about it; I'd probably get rid of that first yellow that you used and put in a lighter, more universal neutral. Oh, I useed the deepest blue as a liner with an angled line brush and it worked beautifully. Thank you for your review and tutorial. I always get honesty and good info from you.
When you think as you pointed out, 18 shades for a high end quality palette and you would use all, or almost all the shades its a definite buy. Great demos as usual. Thank you
I've been looking for something more muted and less metallic, so I appreciate you speaking to that. It is a shame about the purples though, because I am really attracted to those shades too. Even so, this color story is really beautiful. This might just be my first Byredo palette.
Definitely a pallet for the fair light skinned. Refreshing to see a pallet with no black and dark browns taking up most of the pallet and I can only use 2 colors. I’ll be buying this
I always think of the shadows in the larger Byredo palettes as watercolours in how the effect is much softer and how the colours blend. The Pats, Natashas and indies are like oil paints.
Wonderful job, Charlotte. I fell in love after getting last year's Remembrance palette. So kind o mature lids, classy and you can do a quick look and roll out the door! You could own last year and this year and be good. Lots of looks or a great one and done! Thank you from Maryland.
I really agree with you. The Byredo Remembrance palette is still one of my most favorite eyeshadow palettes. But, it’s filled with my comfort zone colors. This one is getting me out of my comfort zone…but in the most wearable way. Thanks for the great review!
The large Byredo palettes have become favorites of mine. The formula is different from their smaller palettes. I knew this would be a purchase for me because I have bought the last two releases. I don't buy eyeshadows as much anymore so I save for this yearly release. I was especially excited to see the color story this year, as the last two were more neutral to peachy.
I received this palette yesterday & it is so beautiful!! I loved every look you created, absolutely stunning!! Great in depth review, so interesting & fun to watch, thank you 💖💖💖
Love this palette. There’s quite a bit of product that gets picked up on the brush but I tapped it off against a tissue before applying and got no fall out
Those 3 looks really stole my heart.First it was really sceary for me,then to see how the colors ended up on youre eyelids is really beatiful.I really like it.❤
Although the price tag is high, when compared with a Dior 5 pan or a Chanel Les Beiges it’s worth the money. I bought the last years Remembrance palette and liked the formula so ordered this a few days ago after watching some reviews. I’m not a lover of glittery/metallic shadows so this is right up my street.
The looks are lovely!! Thank you!! 🙌 However, the lid colors would be truer if you don’t put the lovely transition first shade over the lids too. If you just keep it in the crease then the lid colors would be truer. Otherwise your mixing colors the way you did it. Also, I feel perhaps if you used a more compact stiffer brush like a pencil brush you’d get a truer deeper impact on the second row far right deeper smokey purple and also with the peachy shade you used for the first part of the inner corner which was also overlaid. And some of the shades were too close in tonal range that would not differentiate on my tan colouring even when I use an off-white primer. And also the 2 blues on the bottom row were too close in color that would also not differentiate on me. AND yes, I wanted those smokey purples on the bottom row to perform that way too. That was a bit of an cat fish. Humf! 😭Those are my dream shades also. Lol! 💖
I love seeing others use a palette I own - always ready to see a new look. I’ve used mine for the past three days and have not experienced any fallout, but I tend to use a light hand, but also a variety of Sonia G. brushes. I generally use a light shade all over the lid, then do a transition in and above the crease with a medium shade, then I use a small crease brush and deepen the outer corner and go a little bit into the crease. I use a shimmery shade on the outer half of the lid and a lighter shimmer in the inner half and slightly blend the edges, so that the shades meld, but are still separate..have fun playing - I envy you your ample lid space! ❤
I absolutely love this colour story! The name says it all. Minerals. To me it has a lot of impact in that sense. Nowadays every brand does high shine metallic or glittery eyeshadows. So these kind of shadows are really a joy for me and have a 'Wow factor' more than any other palette of the past years.
I love the softness and understated pigments: I adore Byredo and its aesthetic : loved it when ISAMAYA was working there!! It is fab and I love the classiness of it 🙋♀️🇬🇧
I feel you would’ve loved the previous two palettes 😊 flora khalahari was spicy & bright & with very impactful shades & mostly metallics & remembrance was super beautiful too but more neutral & even duo chrome shades ❤ alas these palettes aren’t for everyone but they’re stunning & different & they’re released only once a year; the shadows are soft in look & texture (hence the fallout) & I think it’s best to blend less & tap off your brush & gently pat the shadows on rather than swiping … but yes they’re very muted & understated & rather sophisticated ❤ I loved all your looks & I will recreate that green look 😍🤩 I’m excited to dive into this palette ! & I’ll be combining it with my other two that I have … I’m honestly looking forward to these releases rather than mother pat 🙄🤦🏻♀️ also I think those kinda purple shades aren’t purple … they kinda grey with purple undertones ❤
I love color on you!!! I like the last look. I would have used more of the shiny topper, but that’s me. You do you! Very pretty. Try the nomad palette ‘ghost town’. Beautifully muted color w gorgeous shiny shades. Thanks from Florida, USA
Already bought-LOL. I have the Prismic palette from 2021 and I love it. Love your looks. There are a couple of beautiful intense purples from the Prismic palette that I would probably use to intensify the soft purple colors. The blue shades look pretty intense on their own. I can't wait for mine to arrive.😍
That’s a great idea to use the purples in your Prismic palette to bump up the smokey “purples” in Mineralscapes. I would’ve done the same if I could’ve bought it. But I’m on a budget no buy. Lol! Mind you I also envy you having the Prismic! I wish I had gotten it when I had the chance. I love Isamaya’s take on the rainbow!! I have the Remembrance and those lovely soft elegant shadows are everything!! Byredo’s large palettes are outstanding. Enjoy mixing your rainbow’s and minerals!! 😉💜
@@FitChickGlows Thanks! I passed on Remembrance and Kalahari so I was super excited to get Mineralscapes. Prismic has such intense colors, I love to mix them with other palettes.
@@carmensplacebeauty I think you made an awesome choice “waiting” for this palette. 🙌 And, boy I wanted Prismic so bad I tried twice to get it on Mercari but they could see I’m in Canada and they blocked me everytime. They don’t sell to Canada unfortunately. 😫 Lolol!
Thank you for negating the FOMO I had about this palette. I have these dolors in other palettes, so I was on the fence. But the difference in the payoff on the eyes, plus that horrible fallout, really has shown me that I don't need it. Excellent video!💚
@@lisaaustin4561 I don't care. I'm lighter than Charlotte, so fallout shows up more on my skin. And I hate doing my eyes first. I have more palettes than I can count. So I don't Need this one. I've picked this up and I'm hoping to film a review this weekend if anyone would like to see how it looks on someone with a deeper skin tone. Might try and get an initial short up tonight.
You made me want this even more! It’s a good thing I’m on a low-buy on this one. Still undecided. I loved the green look. It made your eyes pop. Love that nail polish too!❤
Hi Charlotte, thank you for doing this video, the first look gave me gunmetal grey eyeshadow look, look 2. gave me mid brown look, and look 3. Is my favourite, giving me a soft sage /soft olive smoky, the price of this palette is the thing that is putting me off purchasing it , i enjoyed watching this video. Love Katherine xoxo
Your timing is impeccable, Charlotte! I’ve been SO wanting a swatch/opinion video on this beautiful palette. From someone whose opinion I TRUST. 😊👍 Edit: I truly want this palette now! Thank you!
Very helpful and thank you for sharing!🙂 I don’t have any Byredo eyeshadows and I will skip this one for sure. The reason is in all the looks you created the colours blended into each other and I can’t see the difference between them. It’s a lack of bright/luminous colours and when you apply colours from the same family I can’t see a gradual difference between them. I think it’s ok for people who like a soft smoky eye look but definitely not for me.
This was so helpful. Yesterday I was so excited about this palette. Now with your review there is some things to think about. Nr1: I don't like fall out. Nr2: I am sad to see that those beautiful muted purples didn't go on as purple as they appear in the palette. But the looks you created are looking really beautiful. And I am not an high impact shimmery kind a girl. I love an understated and wearable look. And I love that these are not to dark in tone. For my fair skintone that is always a good thing. I have to think about it.
I think that you have to start with the darkest color of your choice at that moment and blend less. It melts too much if you keep blending and becomes grey. If you have more pigment in the color it is no problem This are my thoughts I haven’t got it yet, but are thinking about it I have a palette from Viseart that palette has soft colors too but with more pigment in the color. Not darker in color but stronger to stay in the color. This is like a aquarelle (watercolor) and that has the same issue. Stop in time with blending Thank you for your thoughts, very helpful bye Mirjam
The palette and color story look fabulous! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 It is a bit pricey but you are getting alotof different shades and I think the packaging is unique! I don't know..not a big shadow user but this... (Of course I got sucked into the 🖤 Face Palette and Highligher during the Sephora Savings event sooo .🤔. Ty Charlotte- love it!!!❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
OMG I have been slowly getting into cooler tones for the first time since a couple of months - I have a warm light medium olive skin tone and am just now branching out! I find this palette is half full of shades that are totally in my comfort zone, like the greens and terracotta-roses, while the other half are wild cards for me, like the blues and greyish purples. But all of them so muted (except the 2 deep teals, but I already love turquoise, too!) that they're not intimidating! This is going to be so exciting to branch out with. I just placed my order, I think it's been a pretty long time an eyeshadow palette has looked like such a piece of art to me and been so inspiring to create looks with. can't wait to see how the shades look on me, I hope they suit my skin!!
The green was so pretty on you. I do have this palette. You have to love the more understated looks. For me, it's the one and done with just a bit added that I like. We can use the PM eye intensifier for more of a pop and nude eyeshadow base. Very smooth sheeny looks. Sophisticated imo.
Ensley Reign palette the Cold moon one has my heart at the moment it’s beautiful can’t see me even wanting another palette as I’ve the Groovy garden palette too think il be quiet happy with them both for the rest of the year that’s a shocking statement for me
Love this palette - you're right - there are so many permutations! So yes please! More looks and combinations please share as and when you discover them :D Thanks Charlotte x
I watched a few video reviews about this palette and i can see that people are a little bit confused when they start doing 3d & 4th looks because this shade range is very similar and does not give a wide variety of looks. It's still very wearable & comfy for a daily soft glam and i looove this semi-grey shades which are very difficult to make easy to blend but now i know that i won't use it often 😢
I abhor large palettes, I’ve even passed on the couple of large pat mcgraths I had. However, I love the large palettes from byredo, I think they’re well done. This one specifically made me gasp! When I saw images on instagram, she looks stunning. Mine arrives tomorrow! Thanks for showing me some lewks.
Ordered mine as soon as it hit Selfridges because I love my earlier Byredo ... anytime IV open one, I inevitably find an interesting mix of color and style -- always makes me happy.
This is a beautiful color story and I appreciate the "minerals" theme. I liked the greens on you tne most. I think this palette is very comfort zone, easy to go with any wardrove.
They remind me a lot of eyeshadows from Mac! I can even recall names. I don't know about the quality of these shadows. Thank you for your presentation.
You might want to try one of the Smith laydown brushes for these looser shimmery shadows. I have the smaller version, the 253, and use it for absolutely every shimmer, metallic, or satin eyeshadow that I use. It is the perfect size and shape for getting shimmer into the corner of the pointy corner of the eye without bleeding into areas I don't want. There is a larger size, too, but I like a mostly matte eye with only a bit of shimmer so I only purchased the smaller one. For me, the Smith brush does exactly what it says - lays down the shadow where I want it and I don't have any fallout.
I have 2 Byredo kajal pencils-chocolate brown & slate blue. The colours are gorgeous. The pencils are easy to use. They go on so well. But they never stay put no matter how carefully I set them with eyeshadow and powder my under eye area. I always end up with a smeary hard-to-clean-up mess within about an hour. So I’m not surprised you’re getting fallout from the shadows. The perfumes are gorgeous & unusual. But I think they really need to up their makeup game. 6:20
Thank you for your honest review. I'm more into smaller indie brands because they get my creative juices flowing, i love eyeshadow. ND is the more main stream brand that i love for eyeshadow also. This palette did have me interested, but I'm still on the fence.
For that price point, you should have zero issues with fallout. I know you're a luxury brand only girlie, but off-camera I recommend Flower Beauty's palettes. The shades are the closest I know to the uniqueness of the colors here and are vastly higher quality for a much lower price. ❤
You give me so many inspiring ideas!! Thank you. Love the new hair colour as well. And personal opinion, I like your bangs swept back off your beautiful face!
I have Mineralscapes and Remembrance and really love them. I find that the shadows work best as one-and-done - this way the unique textures and colours really come to life. Simplicity which is what I think Byredo is all about. I really don't think that the intended used for these palettes is to whack on 3-4 different shades for a lewk. Certainly if you do this with Mineralscapes, you'll just get one hot muddy mess. Less is more. The dark blue and teal shades work well as liners on the upper lash line, for me anyway. Also, best applied with synthetic brushes given most of the shades have shimmer in them.
This palette is beautiful, and the formula looks again smooth, like the previous 2 palettes, maybe even more smooth! These palettes, i love, and i have sensitive eyes, but, i don't know, the formula is more refined i think, than PMG? Don't have endless makeup knowledge. This one is on the way, and what i find of the previous 2 palettes (i only appreciate their bigger palettes, the quints are a disaster, for me than, to much crumble mess), the formula is indeed soft, i did read some comments, and never all shades work for me, well, that only happened with Tiny Marvels from dear Mel...i was so happy that i could tell her that than. Byredo and Tiny Marvels, and further the matte one from Patrick Ta. The Tiny Marvels i cannot say goodbye to, although it's a more difficult formula for my eyes. The Kalahari, the first palette, has 2 cute light pink shades, one with a shift, one of these shadows, if i do not want to use a seperate highlighter, i use a very fluffy brush, and than just a little little bit, just a touch, i only like it subtle, but i love to touch these shadows soft, but that's me, other people can explain better about formula's Charlotte. I did not like the more metallic 2 shades in the 2nd palette, the Rememberance, the rest is great also! And looking forward to this one! And wow, you made gorgeous looks, i see how happy the palette makes you! I have hazel/khaki eyes, being 53, with lighter skintone, but a blue is easy to mix with another shade, i only saw 2, for me more difficult blue colours, so i ordered the palette last week. Thanks for another super honest review, very good, wishing you a wonderful day!!!!🤩🤩😘😘
I wonder, if you put a base coat of very light eye shadow primer on first, will the shadows look more like what they look like in the pan? Your skin tone is a bit tan/warm, so I think that definitely affects the colors
Thank you for saving me money! I was out at “intense fallout” plus they are all mid tones. Nothing to create real dimension. I saw those greens and got excited because other than my Yucca palette I have no greens, especially sage/olives. But…no.
It’s giving me Viseart Paris Nudes and Charlotte Tilbury Rebel vibes. Fortunate to have both so don’t think I’ll be going for this, as lovely as it is.
A bit put off by the fallout but the color palette is so great for me I’m going to go for it. I’ll be curious to see if I can find a brush that minimizes the fallout.
I wanted this so badly but I’m really trying not to purchase palettes if I can’t see myself using every color. Try as I might, I’m not a blue eyeshadow person. Really hoping for more lovely muted color stories in the future!
Thankyou for saving me £100 , I love. Smokey purple but that first shade you applied looked olive and I can’t see any purple in it. The fallout situation, maybe it’s because you seemed to need a lot to get any colour out of it, I do eyes last .. lifetime of habit foundation first, always ! so that also makes it a bigger no. Looked beautiful in the photos but very dull in swatches and most of those colours seem to pull grey or olive. Such a shame . Glad you like it though and yours looks were beautiful but seemed like hard work x
I have mixed feelings after watching this. I think the shades are most beautiful in the pan which isn’t ideal. I definitely preferred the green look you did. It was much more what I expected. But there are an awful lot of caveats for such an expensive palette. Thank you for letting us see it in action. ❤
This is a limited edition, isn’t it? I love the muted look it’s giving. I’m rather sad that my country is not getting this palette. I’d have to get it from another country. I’m going to bite the bullet and get it before it sells out😂😂 But I’m making a promise to myself, I’m not getting any more eyeshadows this year, no matter what.
I love to get a hold of this palette but two things stop me number one most looks I can create with the existing 20 plus palettes I own, after a while all looks kind of start looking the same. 20 is a good amount of palettes. I probably just only need one neutral and perhaps one colorful one and I’ll be set for life. Just seems like all the looks that we do here on RUclips with different palettes all end up being the same looks smoky ones or colorful ones that can be achieved with any palette .
The packaging and saturation of colours are really tempting me, unfortunately I don’t love the way I look in blues 😕 if it was focused on another colour than purples and blues I’d buy it but those colours look like bruise on me
This palette really isn’t that expensive when you think about how many eyeshadows you get versus Pat McGrath. Aaaand I love this palette. It was definitely made for brown and grey eyes I feel.
This 53 year old absolutely adores this palette and the remembrance one, too. So smooth and beautiful on the eye.

It melts too much if you keep blending and becomes grey. If you have more pigment in the color it is no problem
This are my thoughts I haven’t got it yet, but are thinking about it
I have a palette from Viseart that palette has soft colors too but with more pigment in the color. Not darker in color but stronger to stay in the color.
This is like a aquarelle (watercolor) and that has the same issue. Stop in time with blending
Thank you for your thoughts, very helpful bye Mirjam
This is helpful!
Very grateful for your comprehensive review and looks. The last look is a stunner on you. This is a definite no for me though.
Great video! What palettes would you suggest for Smokey purples? That's what I like, too. 😊
Such a beautiful palette!! All the looks were really beautiful with your eye's color.. Lovely!! 🤩🤗🌷💞💞
Three lovely eye looks!
It seems like a muted version of ND metropolis palette - beautiful. Trying very hard not to order it and start with metropolis and a lighter touch! ❤
The green was so pretty on you. I do have this palette. You have to love the more understated looks. For me, it's the one and done with just a bit added that I like. We can use the PM eye intensifier for more of a pop and nude eyeshadow base. Very smooth sheeny looks. Sophisticated imo.
Can you do looks using the 2 blues bottom row
Thank you Charlotte for your video and your lovely looks! Unfortunately, the shades look too similar. 😕
More looks and combinations please share as and when you discover them :D
Thanks Charlotte x
Beautiful! I wish they still sold this palette!
Great video always a like 👍👍 I think it looks beautiful 💙💛❤💚💜
Ordered mine as soon as it hit Selfridges because I love my earlier Byredo ... anytime IV open one, I inevitably find an interesting mix of color and style -- always makes me happy.
This is a beautiful color story and I appreciate the "minerals" theme. I liked the greens on you tne most. I think this palette is very comfort zone, easy to go with any wardrove.
Yay,so glad to see you with another video❤
Ah , I think that is a very pretty Eye Shadow Pallet. Pricey, yet you get a lot ❤😊
The 2 blues looked the same. I went with the Danessa blooming romance pallette . The looks look great on you Charlotte. ❤
You give me so many inspiring ideas!! Thank you. Love the new hair colour as well. And personal opinion, I like your bangs swept back off your beautiful face!
Thanks ❤..as I am not a big person on Shimmer ..metallic ..I would appreciate that pallet
Thanks for another super honest review, very good, wishing you a wonderful day!!!!🤩🤩😘😘
Pretty looks Charlotte!! Very suede looking kind of shades. Don't think I need it....😅😅
I have a previous Byredo palette from last year and want to try that one again to see how I feel about the formula before I buy this one.
I bought it. Love it
I wonder, if you put a base coat of very light eye shadow primer on first, will the shadows look more like what they look like in the pan? Your skin tone is a bit tan/warm, so I think that definitely affects the colors
It’s currently sold out in the US. The colors are beautiful.
Fomo for me… yet will pass. Thank you Miss Charlotte! ❤️
A bit put off by the fallout but the color palette is so great for me I’m going to go for it. I’ll be curious to see if I can find a brush that minimizes the fallout.
Beautiful! Love how muted all the tones are
Very pretty. Todays look on my screen is more blue-grey, looks beautiful on you! This however is an absolute pass for me.
Same!
Hi Charlotte, I need that blue nail polish 😅 but the name you listed is a beige color not blue. Would you please share? 🙏😅😬
I have mixed feelings after watching this. I think the shades are most beautiful in the pan which isn’t ideal. I definitely preferred the green look you did. It was much more what I expected. But there are an awful lot of caveats for such an expensive palette. Thank you for letting us see it in action. ❤
This one is a no for me
I do love cool tones on you ❤ x
I collect these and love them all❤❤
This is a limited edition, isn’t it?
This is a yes for me!
you are so beatiful without make up! like a doll
My bank manager wants to meet you and have a word!! 😂🤦🏻♀️🙈
