You do get literal tunnel vision when steering a narrowboat through a tunnel like that if you get focused on the light of the exit in the distance - I find it easier to look up at the ceiling a bit ahead of the boat and that gives a frame of reference to keep it straight and not hit or scrape the walls

Good and bad news in regards to Guys canal boat…..
About 3 years after the show it was repainted and given its new name. (Neglected)
It later moved to Hassall Green on the Cheshire locks of the Trent & Mersey. (Near Liverpool)
Apparently it’s still there 😊

Fun fact: There are no DUI laws whatsoever when dealing with canal boats, you can be three sheets to the wind and still legal to drive a canal boat!
Not in the UK, waterways have bye laws and you can't boat whilst intoxicated.
