    Actually made me more mad at Zak. If he told Phoenix from the start about the page, Phoenix would have realized that the page he was given was fake and demanded that Trucy tell him who actually gave it to her and reported it immediately. Thus, he wouldn't have lost his badge, Trucy wouldn't have lost her father, Vera wouldn't have lost her father as well, and the only person who's life was ruined would have been Kristoph's and Valant's. All because Zak didn't cooperate with the best man who could have easily helped him since the beginning: Phoenix Wright.

      This is the most unforgivable act of his to me too, I never understood why he hid the magic rights and didn't speak up even when Wright presented the fake page. The dude was either a horrible villain, or just badly written in order to ensure that Wright would lose his badge :p

      I think what could happen is Zak noticing Kristoph is now after him, and request Phoenix to take care of Trucy while he's on the run.
      Phoenix got curious, and once he investigate and figured out that it's Kristoph, he could have a side gig at the bar playing poker, waiting for Zak to return.
      His attorney job? Probably at its slowest after the trial ruined the credibility of the Defense Lawyers, and it's only Apollo winning the case when people start seeking lawyers again. By that time, Phoenix is setting up the Jury system, so he let Apollo handle the cases in the meantime.

    Well, this was a much more interesting AU than I was initially expecting. I had a feeling that the validity of the diary page would be called into question, but Zak himself being the one to basically get Kristoph disbarred was a welcome surprise. Zak definitely was a guy who did a LOT of questionable (to put it mildly) things in Apollo Justice, but good to see that he was above getting a not guilty verdict through dirty means and getting his partner arrested on false charges. And it’s also good to know that the Mishams were spared in this universe, but it is pretty sad to think that Apollo and Trucy may never meet since Zak’s a free man.

      Tbf a whole new story opens up. We have no idea how Turnabout serenade would play out, if Phoenix would be the one to defend Lamiroir and Machi Tobeye, if he'd find out about Lamiroir's true identity and reveal it to Zak and Trucy, if he'd ever create the Mason system in the first place since the dark age of the law would have never happened (Kristoph's career would have ended early on and Phoenix never lost his badge).

    Kristoph scares me. When I heard a bit of how evil he was I expected the reason of making pheonix suffer to be more dramatic but no…
    The only reason those 7 years happened was because Christoph got pissy like a little child just because he wasn’t picked for a single case.
    People like him actually exist and they do stuff like murder people for little reasons or petty reasons it’s really fucking scary

    • @debastiansebeste
      @debastiansebeste  Год назад +18

      Well, to he honest Kristoph had a lot to earn if he defended Zak and won the trial. The Gramaryea were a super famous troupe at the time, so that trial drew the attention of the public as well. Kristoph knew he was in for renown and recognition if he won that trial. So when Zak fired him and hired Wright, Kristoph saw it as if Zak and Wright took that huge opportunity away from him.
      Of course one could argue that if Kristoph was a voting member of the bar association AND in comfort of giving Drew Misham 100,000 bucks for the forgery, you could say he was already wealthy and successful enough to not care for such formalities. But he was twisted enough unfortunately

    Quite a logicial story as always. Though, I'm surprised that both Zak Gramarye and the judge were more inclined to act during the trial. Zak by revealing the page which gives the real evidence and motive behind the scenes, and the judge who overuled some crucial objections. Now, seeing how Kristoph ends here, i wonder 2 things:
    1: does he have some psyche-locks incoming?
    2: if Zak is his new target, what kind of outcome it would bring after? His death or Trucy's demise?

    • @debastiansebeste

      1. I don't think so, this time he doesn't hate Zak and Wright because he thinks deep down that he's inferior to Wright as a lawyer. Now he hates Zak just because he destroyed his life by revealing his scheme. I doubt any psyche locks would need to appear now.

    Okay, now I have things to say. It makes me wonder if Phoenix’s disbarment was perhaps the best thing that ever happened to him. I may be slightly messing up the timeline, but would he have ever adopted his daughter Trucy? Would he have met Apollo (and later Athena) - all such incredibly important people in his life? There are a few very important spoilery things that may have never happened too! Wow. Interesting.

    • @debastiansebeste
      @debastiansebeste  Год назад +16

      Iirc Apollo was already planning to train under Wright until the latter got disbarred, which forced Apollo to join Kristoph's law office. So Apollo would have mostly probably joined Wright's office as planned either way. Same with Athena
      The main problems would be Zak being alive and Trucy being an Enigmar and never getting adopted by Phoenix. That would change everything drastically imho

    • @blastthechaos6083

    Well if Kristoph kills Zak Gramarye and he gets caught and arrested for his murder in this alternate timeline, I imagine that he would have a very clear motive for murder this time unlike in the Apollo Justice Game where he could have gotten away with plausible deniability if it weren't for Phoenix Wright making the Jury relevant again. And I don't think the Judge will let Kristoph off easy this time unlike in the Apollo Justice Game. If Kristoph were to be convicted of Zak Gramarye's murder, I imagine it might go like something like this.
    The Judge: That's enough, I see no reason to further prolong this trial. Kristoph Gavin, Your motive is very clear. You murdered Zak Gramarye because he got you disbarred when you tried to forge evidence to win a case. This court hereby finds you guilty.
    Prosecutor Klavier Gavin: You break my heart brother, to think that the day I would have to prosecute you would ever have to come. I had hoped that this day would have never come. Not only were you going to cheat against me by trying to get a not guilty verdict with fake evidence in our first court debut, but you also murder the same man who got you rightfully disbarred instead of accepting responsibility that you requested the forgery and repenting for it. I never wanted to imagine that you forging evidence was true, and you murdering the same man who ousted you as forging evidence is something I wanted to imagine even less. Because of both of your sins and their types, both back then and now, you really don't belong in the courtroom not back then and not now. I loved you Kristoph because you were my brother, but I cannot save you anymore. Goodbye brother.

For me klaiver soon talk to phoinex and Edgeworth and review what is going on with Kristoph, then after some talk klaiver decides to join Edgeworth to search for the truth after being lied to by his brother. Soon enough he's a member of Edgeworth's agency and after some early trials he began to see ways he can find the truth and soon enough became a great prosecutor.
