A little bit similar thing was at Rise from the Ashes (PW:AA Episode 5), when Lana Skye was supposed to make a statement, when Phoenix wanted to begin to cross-examine her, Gant immediately interrupted her
And if you think about it, there is a good chance that Kristoph might end up murdering Phoenix because he got a little too close to the truth, as well as all his spying like he did in Apollo Justice.
I think this version of events is actually worse than Phoenix getting disbarred, because no one might ever find out the truth that Kristoph was the forger. Well made!
@@naattxxnaattxx7055 He’s not the killer *yet*. He planted the ticking time bombs in the forger’s stamp and nail polish with poison, so depending on how the events here play out, we don’t know for sure if its gonna happen earlier or later than the original, or if it happen at all. The murder of Enigmar also happens way later, and it had Wright lose his job in the first place, tho still possible Kristoph might kill Enigmar anyway.

Phoenix's anger towards Klavier seemed unreasonable, why would otherwise Klavier even agree for Trucy to testify. Phoenix should have doubted Ktistoph's claims and yet he didn't.
"Kristoph is the forger!" "No I'm not, even though I've done nothing but make myself look suspicious this whole trial." "Understandable, have a nice day."
Not a bad what if but I agree with other comments. Phoenix not asking questions why there are inconsistencies about Klavier being a forger, especially when he was himself eager to interrogation of Trucy and Kristoph. Plus not once the "witness to the forgery" Drew Misham was called to the stand.
This is very well made, but I can't help but feel like Phoenix would press further after Kristoph's testimony. There are still unanswered questions, after all. However barring that, this was amazing. Everyone stayed true to their characters and the story was laid out fantastically.
3:13 I go on tcrf a lot, and I kinda appreciate you using this animation; it's technically unused in the game since 17-year-old Klavier never has a moment like this. I really like it when fanmade works use unused and/or unimplemented material.
Good stuff! A thoroughly enjoyable alternate take on the '7 years ago...' case, it was satisfying not seeing Phoenix fall into the trap - he handled the tricky manoeuvring of the serious allegations exactly how I imagine a seasoned, post-T&T Wright would've handled it. I also like how you had the exchange between the Judge and the disgraced attorney about 'having a good explanation' coming from Klavier instead of Phoenix at the end, it made for a nice ironic echo of how the events transpired in canon! To quote the Judge's brother, "I'm not sure how I feel about" everyone kinda piling on Klavier after Kristoph throws him under the bus, though. I guess I was expecting Phoenix to not get thrown off the scent given how fishy Kristoph was acting? There's also another point I would've felt might've been good for Phoenix to bring up in his defence - time constraints. He'd only just taken Zak's case the day before trial, would anyone reasonably expect him to be able to forge the diary page in under 24 hours? I know "Drew" is good at his job, but _that_ good? Still, it didn't take away from this being an enjoyable watch that was very well put together. I suppose my critique could boil down to 'it ended a bit abruptly, I'd definitely want to see a longer version where Phoenix is able to drag the truth out of Kristoph at the stand' - i.e. would like to see more!
Maybe if this alternate version of events was a bonus in a remake of AJ or sth, then there would be a choice between just letting it rest or asking further questions "even if it seems pointless because we have a rather airtight chain of events" and the result if you win that extension is another alternate ending of Kristoph being caught 7 years early.
I’m really glad most people liked that line, as well as Klavier’s mini breakdown. I wanted to make that scene feel like Phoenix’s scene where he’s being accused and he knows he can’t do anything but watch as his profession, as well as the truth, is ripped away from him. Making Klavier do the same was for a different reason; I figured that he would be so appalled by his own brother betraying him, for what he believes to be no reason, that he just wouldn’t have found the right words to say anything back.
While this is actually the bad ending, this would've also been the most logical ending if Phoenix Wright wasn't a bit dumbed down in Apollo Justice. Think about it, Phoenix has been a very experienced lawyer at this point in time and knows what shenanigans can happen in court. Then suddenly a suspicious child hands him a suspicious piece of evidence that suspiciously fits in extremely well with the evidence the PROSECUTOR is presenting. It's like the most blatant trap ever. Even Rise from the Ashes Phoenix knew when people were blatant about their traps during Damon Gant's leather handprint conundrum.
While Wright would not get himself tricked so easily and would have found Kristoph suspicious (like they already spoke about the fact Klavier doesn't have long hair), and Klavier would try to defend himself even if mindboggled by what Kristoph did, this would be a good setup for an alternate AA game where Kristoph tries to corrupt the law and Wright tries to stop it while getting Klavier free
lol, I tried to make that like a sort of what Damon Gant does in the final trial day of RFtA, but it ended up being a little goofier than I expected >_
"As long as you don't hurt Trucy..." Well then you should be worried. His track record of questioning kids is abysmal Cody Hackins in Turnabout Samurai is the only time he's had to and it was....not great?
I noticed you used some of phoenix's lines for klavier like the "if I had a good explanation for this" Now my headcanon for these events is that we get hobo klavier who adopts trucy (Zak still does the magic trick since why not) then gets apollo to join their "Gavin Talent Agency" and the show goes on...
I wonder if this leads toan AU where Klavier takes up a 'Simon Blackquill'-type role except instead of prosecuting he managed to become a famous rock star from prison (thru anime logic) and instead of a noble sacrifice causing his imprisonment, it was his brother's betrayal. Side note: It was kind of cute seeing Klavier being so good with little Trucy
Honestly, you don't even need to go so far, you can change the timeline by letting Phoenix cross-examine Drew Misham on the stand: Phoenix: "So, how long did it take you to make this forgery?" Misham: "Oh, it was a weeklong process. I needed the original diary, you see, in order to make the forgery. First, I needed the extensive handwriting sample found from the other entries. I needed to match the pen, the ink, and I needed to create the exact same type of paper as well. Then there's the matter of perfectly matching the tear pattern of the diary- very tricky business that." Phoenix: "...So, you needed access to the real evidence in order to produce this fake?" Misham: "Yes. There would be no way to perfectly reproduce either the handwriting or the tear without it. Pictures simply wouldn't do." Phoenix: "...Your Honor, I received the case record, including the evidence, only this morning. The diary has been in the prosecutor's exclusive possession since this case was submitted for trial. It was not possible for the defense to forge this document... unless they had access to the prosecution's evidence safe." Klavier: "...Wait a minute... Oh."
I was going to make some idea that made Phoenix aware that submitting evidence you recieved from a child you did not know was stupid, but this is the half that would make this case work out perfectly.
Damm I felt so bad for klavier, being imprisoned for life for a crime he didn't committed being incriminated by his own brother, must've been really depressing. Kinda makes me glad for the real timeline to be canon tho.
I beat this game yesterday in the Apollo Justice trilogy, I really loved these videos, and the most impressive thing is that I can really see this happening in a game in this franchise
Pretty gold video, it's funny how this timeline might actually be worse, Kristoph will eventually kill Zak anyway but since Phoenix wouldn't be disbarred he'd have nothing to do with the case and therefore be unable to convince Apollo to expose the truth, Trucy and Apollo never meet and never meet their mom since that only happens if Apollo joins the wright anything agency which he doesn't do in this timeline since he still likely works under Kristoph and with Klavier arrested turnabout serenade can never happen so it's impossible for them to meet, Lamiroir never regains her memories of her children since she never meets them again and Drew Misham and Vera both die without the truth of their death being exposed. Phoenix NOT getting disbarred results in the worst possible timeline
Wow, first of all congrats on a well done video. The cutscenes were very well done, I could have perfectly mistaken it for a real AA game scene. I particularly enjoyed how this scenario made Kristoph look even more as a complete psycopath; seeing things were going south for him fast as Phoenix evaded his trap and figured his devious scheme out, he had no issue with framing his own brother for the crime and let him take the fall in his stead. The only objection I would have is that perhaps Phoenix changed his mind too quick in regards to who he suspected , if he already suspected Kristoph, he shouldn't have shifted his focus that fast. Still I believe this was a great Alternate Scenario, and I find it way more believable than the canonical version, in which Phoenix's 3-year experience was conveniently omitted in order to justify his disbarment imho. I would welcome with open arms a series of videos where the events of this AU are explored in greater depth, though I understand it may be complicated to decide on what hypothetical routes to follow. Kudos to you
Really liked it up until the end, mostly because he was already well aware of how Kristoph is, but the moment he testified, he believed him without a second thought?? Why is he now suddenly telling the truth even though Wright was extremely suspicious of him and not at all of Klavier 😭😭
Damn, that was so good! You are truly worthly of making your own fan-cases with such good reasoning and character understanding. Good job, hopefully this video would be recommended to lots of people.
I would love if there was a continuation about phoenix defending klavier somehow. I don't mean you should do it, but i like to think that the things end up with the same outcome on a different universe finding kristoph guilty, good job! It really felt canon
Still incredible that after T&T, phoenix got a lot more confident and this case proves that he is a great lawyer. Even tho he hasn't even investigated the scene of the crime, he went to court and he almost won the case also its always funny when phoenix ramdomly accuses the prosecution of being the real culprit of a crime like ''guys, hear me out. that little asshole over there is the murderer''
I've already seen these in Discord, for starters, lol. But this is a really cool scenario!! It's faithful to the original games too, which I really like! :D
Ah yeah, someone said they wanted an alternate scenario vid, and since I had finished this one I though I’d just upload it lol And yeah I try my best, thankies ;w;
I’m a huge fan of Apollo Justice, so seeing this in my recommendations made me scream a little inside. It was so good! Blew all my expectations away and I’m now going to start binging the rest of your content
I don't really like this version of events, or rather the ending. Phoenix' punishment in the game is justified, because while he didnt intend to sully the itnergity of the trial, he did present forged evidence without verifying it. That is why the line "If I had a good explanation, would the court be willing to listen?" works. It's an acknowledgement of responsibility, but also an acknowledgement that he was totally screwed by a third party. That's why the judge simply answered with a "No.", he witnessed Wright present the forged evidence himself, so this was cut and dry. Klavier in this case was merely accused by his brother and didn't make an effort to refute that accusation. Phoenix is also known for actively selfsabotaging his case just in the name of finding out the truth. Granted, this happened way later in the timeline, but in Dual Destinies he practically has the DLC case in the bag, but chose to prolong the trial to get to the bottom of the case because something still didnt feel right. I'd like to think this trait of Phoenix isn't something recent and has always been present, at least since the Matt Engarde trial.
I appreciate the effort. However, I think that the main problem revolves around the Gant's like dilemma. In his case, he had to interfere because Lana was about to start talking too much, and he knew that Phoenix got the “evidence” from his safe and Gumshoe was the witness of that. Although it might seem similar, in Kristoph's case it does not allow him to accuse Wright of anything because no proof was presented by him in your scenario. And him presenting the torn off segment of a page of the diary does not prove anything as he claims. In my view, Kristoph wanted Zak's page to get nullified by a forged one or turn him against Phoenix and thus destroying them both. But as we know, Phoenix decides to take the whole blame, which after Zak's escape reveals to Kristoph that he has the genuine page and so Kristoph becomes restless for the next 7 years in covering his tracks of his involvement. Besides, it would be much better if Drew Misham was called to the stand anyway because Phoenix got Edgeworth's like argument that he has got not time to commit anything. Because he was assigned as a defense for less than one day, and Drew's testimony will corroborate that!
I honestly feel the same. On the surface, I thought it could work because by this time, Phoenix was well known by his peers and so if he were to present the torn off segment of the diary, people would assume that there is more to it because of Phoenix’a reputation. However I definitely felt that Kristopher could have been handled better in the sense that he definitely had no reason to just come out of nowhere and try to accuse Wright. I never even used Drew Misham as well, which is a bummer and I really wish I had done so because it was a missed opportunity. But, Kristoph getting impatient and wishing to throw Phoenix under the bus felt something reminiscent to what he’d have probably done if, say, Klavier just never brought up the possibility of forged evidence, or in this scenario, Phoenix just didn’t have it with him. I appreciate the criticism!
@@lilmarceyx3 I do believe that your idea of Kristoph throwing Klavier under the bus might work out. But I think Kristoph should interrupt the process after Misham's second testimony, like Gant did in Lana's case. Trucy's words should not be considered admissible as evidence. And here's the twist: After Klavier's final speech, Kristoph stops the judge before postponing the procedures and requests the recess, and then he convinces Valant to confess that he tampered with the scene. Zak gets an acquittal. In the lobby, just before Phoenix and Zak start to celebrate their victory similarly to the Stolen Turnabout, Kristoph comes to them. He says that his new client accuses Zak of illegitimately denying him the right to the Gramarye's name and demands compensation for tarnishing his good name. His case becomes more solid than Wright's because Zak was still not cooperative with him like it was from the start, and because Zak did not notarize the page like he eventually does in the original timeline 7 years later. Zak does not believe in the victory, and still decides to escape. This time, however, he steals the diary with the missing page, because of his pride and because he does not believe that Trucy would be willing to commit to his vision. The trial is put on hold. Unfortunately, in comparison to Pearl, Trucy, who was the witness to it all, became resentful towards Wright and blamed him for losing her dad. Wright felt partially responsible for her current situation and, like in the original timeline, adopted her. But contrary to Von Karma's methods, he decides to support her in pursuing her wishes, but in her good name instead of Gramarye's one. After 7 years, Apollo still joins Kristoph's office because he believes that Kristoph's case is closer to justice and Valant's name is illegitimately tarnished. Meanwhile, Klavier, while incarcerated, becomes a proto-Blacquill because, similarly, he holds some keys to the truth. The Turnabout Trump still happens, but of course in a different configuration, though that might be a story for another time.
Really cool What-if, and with the old graphics as well! Splendid! It definitely seems like something that would be added to the game, as all official what-if scenarions are very tragic. Good Job!
Most of this is great, but the ending is just dumb. Phoenix would never believe a testimony like that without a cross-examination. He digs for the truth, even if the testimony in front of him is good for his client. And Phoenix has seen Klavier actively pushing for testimony to be heard that would out the forger, which makes no sense if Klavier is the forger. I will buy anyone in that courtroom falling for it, but NOT Phoenix. If Phoenix had simply asked Klavier if Kristoph's allegations were true, only for Klavier to sadly confirm yes, unwilling to throw his own brother under the bus, then this ending would have been perfect.
Yeah this video is honestly pretty bad. For the first half I let myself get really into Succession and I studied Apollo Justice like studying for a test… but the second half was not as well thought out. The only way Phoenix would believe any of what Kristoph said is if this was his first trial, or at most before Justice For All. I’d love to revisit this video and make it more faithful in the future however.
Ya Phoinex is the guy who is restless for the truth, he's the one who breaks into Gant's safe to find evidence, confronts obvious convicts outside of court, and fights tooth, nail, heart, and mind to find the truth
Thank you so much for the feedback, I really do appreciate it. I try my best to write Shu Takumi's characters with as much accuracy as possible so I'm glad this has sort of shown that. ^-^
Lol yeah, I’ve been debating on whether to make a sequel or alternate scenario to this alternate scenario, because I could see that delving here would be an excellent idea.
Amazing work, I love it! I do believe if this was official we would've gotten one last "Objection!" coming from Phoenix since he'd probably feel something was off (kinda gives me 2-4 vibes), but of course the ending you gave was a lot more sorrow and proposes an interesting fate exchange between both lawyers. Anyway, great stuff. Very nice job!
I love so many of AA fan writers use Apollo Justice. I think the creators had good ideas, but as this video shows, the way they frame Wright is so stupid. I would have loved a game where Apollo has to defend Klavier and reveal all of this plot in the final case with the help of Phoenix. Fantastic video!!
I love the setup! What if scenarios like this are so cool, hats off to you for making it! These line of events are quite weak though. I don’t think Kristoph would’ve stopped the trial to accuse Phoenix out right, it feels too on the nose. And the fact that he called Trucy to the stand with no real plan, feels a bit dumb and way out of character for Kristoph. Like why would he do that when Trucy would surely rat him out? It also feels odd that Klaiver doesn’t speak up for himself and let’s Kristoph blindly accuse him. The judge continues the trial for this accusation, and just passes a verdict without any evidence? I don’t see why Klaiver doesn’t have a chance to speak for himself, but Phoenix does. Super cool what if scenario, but the narrative feels weak and out of character. I think the case could’ve continued with Wright not presenting the evidence, and then slowly getting to the bottom of the forged evidence throughout the trial.
"The judge continues the trial for this accusation, and just passes a verdict without any evidence?" Surprisingly still in character for the judge. Remember, he was convinced to allow multiple witness testimonies just because he was given a calamari and he literally says: "What's with you people? Can't I give my verdicts in peace?" I'd be shocked if he postponed the remainder of the trial for the following week.
Woah, this is so dam great. I just love how in-character you made everyone. Totally feels like I'm watching an episode from the actual game, great job!
It would be nice if it wasn't so fundamentally wrong. First, Phoenix would not be happy with shifting the blame. He'd want to find the truth. So he would cross-examine Kristoph. Next, you're omitting way too many crucial facts. Zak asked for the lawyer change a day before the trial. Kristoph then told Klavier. Phoenix, Klavier and Zak can testify about that. Then there's Drew Misham. He potentially would be able to testify about the timeframe as to when it was created/requested. Other facts would also come to light. For example the fact that Kristoph had the diary until the lawyer change - sth that would further be reinforced by police records. In short, further examination of witnesses would provide more than enough evidence to disbar Kristoph.
This is bloody brilliant. You got all the characters perfectly in character, especially Zak Gramarye, who is a jerk and Klavier's discussion with preteen Trucy is just adorable.
At 21:01 he says the “daughter of the victim” I think you meant to have him say daughter of the defendant. It’s just a little nick pick. I love the video. You did amazing. It actually felt like it could work in the game
I can see what your train of thought is, but it’s a weak point. Phoenix would know Kristoph is lying regardless, because of the reaction Klavier provides. He wouldn’t have even needed the magatama - that’s why this video is flawed. The magatama is never used at any point during court, which means that he would have no reason to do it in this case either.
This is really cool, I can say. So Kristoph-like. I was thinking for long time about alternative scenario and you put close to my basic idea in such a simple form. Now I want to use it as a base for my video with credits to you of course. Do you mind?
This is truly amazing! Everything was in-character and I wouldn't lie if I say I that I was very excited through the whole video, specially at the dramatic ending from Kristoph. I would say that this was the most evil thing he have ever done, more evil what he did in the actual game. Truly, a very amazing made What-If video!
Considering hobo wright just despawns and you never hear anything about the jurist system again this is the canon route of the story lol. Edit: if anyone is asking but trucy it still could be that the events of the first case happened somehow but in a different way considering kristoph was only in jail for a month.
Doesn't Klavier show up later in the series tho? Like, he is no longer a major player in the plot because that requires them to admit AJ happens, but he's certainly not in the "disbarred and jailed for life"-situration.
This was a really good one! I've always been wanting this sort of thing ever since I played Apollo Justice for the first time I don't think Klavier would be jailed for life, but he would be disbarred and maybe even seek assistance from Phoenix at some point which would make things interesting Not sure about the future of this timeline but it's fun to theorize!
Yeah this is clearly showing how much Kristoph Gavin clearly wanted Wright disbarred so that way he would be the better Lawyer. That was all he cared about.
Love this! Agree with most of the other comments to get Drew and love giving Klavier Phoenix’s lines. An extended version where we get the whole truth would be so good Let me know when ace attorney multiverse comes out😂❤️
What!? Omg, poor Klavi! Why would he be... if Feenie only was... !? At first, I thought, this is how it should have been, but... poor Klavi! 😢 I think I prefer the canon version after all.
I am thinking about if Phoenix would let the last testimony slide that easily and accept that Klavier is forger. I believe more that he would try to get to the true truth of it. But then again, he has no eveidence at the moment.
I also wished I’d have given the video a bit more time before it was released. I like it, but I don’t love it. Not having Drew testify was a huge mistake ;w;
honestly i think at the end wright would have realised that klavier wouldn't have time to forge the diary page the night before the trial and would have called out kristoph
Ok this is already better than original Seriously every single video about this disbarrment is way better Even shitposts are better Your is not an exception This video is well done Altho I dont know if kristoph would interviene like that but it is ok imo We can argue that he is not thinking rationally Honestly this could create a lot of conflicts between klavier and kristoph There would even a chance for him to develop Honestly I like the idea that klavier is disbarred and then proven innocent in the future Imagine how different he would have been in AJ Imagine the interactions between klavier and apollo Klavier would be more aggressive towards us but still he would care for truth(so pretty much van zieks but not racist) And then apollo would have to show klavier that he can trust him There we go already a much better written game and I thought about it on the spot This would also make kristoph more interesting and more cunning Also I think in this timeline he would target trucy after that trial- another good story telling Cause lets say trucy is in vera misham situation-almost dead Apollo would have a great connection to kristoph and we as player we can see how messed up kristoph really is Why capcom did not take that route? It is shame really Great video I enjoyed it Especially when phoenix actually has braincells But seriously everything was good Hope you can make similar vids in the future
This is a fantastic fan interpretation, so well written and with flawless logic. Tragic, but this case always was. Zak didn't even get to do his magic trick.
Ack I wish I had been able to show that in this video grrrr! Zak would have done it, regardless of the verdict handed down, so that was such a missed opportunity!
@@lilmarceyx3 Judge: "The court finds the defendant-" *HOLD IT* Zak: "I am sorry your honor, but how can you declare a not guilty verdict when the defendant is not present?"
8:20 it’s pretty stupid that he didn’t show the evidence back in the original timeline. A lot could’ve been prevented, AND it was evidence that would help his case. It’s like he wants to go to prison.
To be fair, if you're dealing with a judge who is far too easily swayed and forgetful while assigning you tasks that's reserved for the detectives and police department (who apparently are so incompetent that they let Gregory Edgeworth's murder stay unsolved for years, or are so corrupt that they try pinning a murder on a literal kid just to nail a serial killer), all while being shat on by everyone every other "Hold it" or "Objection", I'm sure jail would be tempting after dealing with it all for years.
This kinda feels like something Capcom would do by creating a alternate timeline where Phoenix was spared of disbarment but The Gavins ended up taking the fall (Kristoph for requesting a forgery, and Klaviar for being aware and cooperating) resulting in a timeline that be far worse than what we saw in Aa4 and AA5
forget kristoph stopping the cross examination: what really bugged me in the end was klavier not fought back to his brother. he respected his brother, but in apollo justice he always felt something wrong and always wanted to see the truth (like he said there) and already had some suspect. so why when his brother is openly blaming him for something he did not do, he just accepts it and not fought back? i know he have no proof of that and probably there's fingerprints of klavier and wright only, but wright itself could've still suspected of kristoph and continued the trial
I know this is Ace Attorney, so real law doesn't really apply [a lot of the time], but I would be calling for entrapment (or similar) the entire time, from the jump, as Wright. This would be off both the brothers' phrasing (not to mention that being brothers could add more credence than random strangers) and that some defense (again, the plantiff's *brother* ) 'randomly' walks in as we're adjourning, accusing me of evidence forgery. (Not trying to say it's not well done, it definitely is!)
Also, as a separate thing now that I've finished the entire video, I feel like everybody was a little TOO willing to let Klavier to take the blame. Kristoph's reason is obvious, Klavier knew the truth the minute the testimony was over (hence why Kristoph said what he said to Klavier prior), but the Judge and especially Phoenix were a bit much. While the Judge definitely tends to be strung along with the way things are going at any given moment, him shutting Klavier down like that feels a tad off. But I can't really fault the Judge himself for that too much since he's kinda just feeding off the overly aggressive Phoenix. Maybe I don't remember OG Trilogy Phoenix as well as I think I do, but the tirade he throws at Klavier after Kristoph's accusation seems several steps too far from him. Especially considering that *Kristoph* was the one indicated as the person who handed over the forged evidence to Trucy. Sure, Kristoph claims that's the only role he played, but it's pretty obvious that Kristoph has been calling all the shots while he's around. So, I feel like Pheonix would be more hesitant to call it a day, especially considering Klavier's reaction. Speaking of which, I really liked the idea of Klavier having a mini-breakdown due to now knowing that his brother has been 100% willing to throw him under the bus, likely the *entire* time. Still a solid 7.5-8/10 story overall in my opinion, but the ending definitely came too fast and, due to the sudden character shift, a bit forced.
@@thatsstrategyI had a similar sentiment once I uploaded it… originally I had put a lot of effort into this but then I sort of just gave up on it and worked on other projects… however it’s only recently that I finally finished the video and managed to make an ending for it, and while I like it, I don’t love it either. Things were definitely too sudden and I feel like I could have dragged things on a little more so that everyone’s reactions make sense for them. OG trilogy Phoenix is definitely not as aggressive as portrayed here, he only got like that a handful of times. And Flashback Phoenix was more calm and collected than anything else… I definitely butchered his character a little by the end. Thank you for the feedback, and I’m glad you enjoyed the video regardless!
The games are originally made in Japan, I'm no Japanese but I can say that some of these laws are from Japan and since there's no way of altering the cases without causing an absolute mess so they went with the Japan laws
This is extremely good. There's even a zoom-out Trucy sprite which is (I'm pretty sure) custom. And the writing is top-notch, both the humor and the serious moments were just like an AA game. My only problem is that it kinda feels weird how Klavier IMMEDIATLY gives up when Kristoph blames him, without even trying to defend himself. I mean, I know he depended on Kristoph a lot, but to not even try to disprove yourself forging evidence? Strange. Otherwise great vid :)
Funnily enough, I intended that to happen. In retrospect it is a little odd, but I wanted that scene to feel sort of like Phoenix’s own accusation scene, where he just doesn’t fight back because he knows he can’t do anything to convince the court. Thank you for your feedback :3
Kristoph immediately throwing Klavier under the bus is hilariously in-character.
I do feel sorry for Klaiver considering how manipulated he was, it was cute how easily he charmed Trucy tho.

Interesting how, if Phoenix had won this case, it would've made the lives of everyone involved even worse than they were in canon.
And if you think about it, there is a good chance that Kristoph might end up murdering Phoenix because he got a little too close to the truth, as well as all his spying like he did in Apollo Justice.

"Understandable, have a nice day."
And thus Apollo never became an attorney, Trucy never became Nicks daughter and Nick kept his job.
Ah yes, the good ending :
Phoenix kept his job.

and maya kept getting accused of murder
Also damn, so Klavier gets disbarred instead? This IS a worse ending as without Klavier's persistence, Apollo would never have caught Kristoph.
Not a bad what if but I agree with other comments. Phoenix not asking questions why there are inconsistencies about Klavier being a forger, especially when he was himself eager to interrogation of Trucy and Kristoph. Plus not once the "witness to the forgery" Drew Misham was called to the stand.
It's totally in-character for Kristoph to immediately blame Klavier the moment his scheme falls apart lol
Completely underrated. I love it! I wish I can see Phoenix cross-examinating Kristoph to proove Klavier's innocence.
Great work on this. Klavier using Phoenix's original line about if he had a good explanation would the court hear him out hit hard.
I think this Alternative Timeline opens up a lot of new possibities, like Apolo being an attorney under Wright and things like that
The new prosecutor for the case was Sebastian DeBeste!
And Wright won immediately after the first cross examination
A yes, good ol’ Eustace Winner
Seems pretty good, though it seems kinda odd that Klavier didn't try to fight back against Kristoph's accusation.
I mean it kinda makes sense, he's still 17 here, so maybe he thought he didn't even stand a chance of pushing back against his brother
22:48-22:54 I see what you did there, Big Smoke.

This was so good. It felt like playing a real case and seeing what Kristoph did at the end... incredible.
I noticed you used some of phoenix's lines for klavier like the "if I had a good explanation for this"
Now my headcanon for these events is that we get hobo klavier who adopts trucy (Zak still does the magic trick since why not) then gets apollo to join their "Gavin Talent Agency" and the show goes on...
But it says klavier got life sentence.
Honestly, you don't even need to go so far, you can change the timeline by letting Phoenix cross-examine Drew Misham on the stand:
Phoenix: "So, how long did it take you to make this forgery?"
Misham: "Oh, it was a weeklong process. I needed the original diary, you see, in order to make the forgery. First, I needed the extensive handwriting sample found from the other entries. I needed to match the pen, the ink, and I needed to create the exact same type of paper as well. Then there's the matter of perfectly matching the tear pattern of the diary- very tricky business that."
Phoenix: "...So, you needed access to the real evidence in order to produce this fake?"
Misham: "Yes. There would be no way to perfectly reproduce either the handwriting or the tear without it. Pictures simply wouldn't do."
Phoenix: "...Your Honor, I received the case record, including the evidence, only this morning. The diary has been in the prosecutor's exclusive possession since this case was submitted for trial. It was not possible for the defense to forge this document... unless they had access to the prosecution's evidence safe."
Klavier: "...Wait a minute... Oh."
Perfect way to solve this case Wright here! XD
Phoenix NOT getting disbarred results in the worst possible timeline
phoenix not losing his job is still epic
@@Left4Coochie he doesn't adopt trucy in this timeline :(
Wow, first of all congrats on a well done video.

Which to be fair she's a little goober it would criminal to not call her cute
“The same things that make us laugh, make us cry.” I get that.. he’s saying he’s so betrayed he can’t even believe it.
Even tho he hasn't even investigated the scene of the crime, he went to court and he almost won the case
also its always funny when phoenix ramdomly accuses the prosecution of being the real culprit of a crime like ''guys, hear me out. that little asshole over there is the murderer''
I've already seen these in Discord, for starters, lol.
But this is a really cool scenario!! It's faithful to the original games too, which I really like! :D

@@lilmarceyx3
I do believe that your idea of Kristoph throwing Klavier under the bus might work out.
That was fantastic. With sound logic and reasoning. Nicely written, I could see this being an official alternate path.
Thank you so much for the feedback, I really do appreciate it. I try my best to write Shu Takumi's characters with as much accuracy as possible so I'm glad this has sort of shown that. ^-^
Hopefully someone retries Klavier's Forgery case years down the line. Like a certain edgy weeb prosecutor.

Either using "it" and his life goes to shit or not falling into Kristoph's trap, but things might get worse...
Quite a fork we're having here.
"The judge continues the trial for this accusation, and just passes a verdict without any evidence?"
Surprisingly still in character for the judge. Remember, he was convinced to allow multiple witness testimonies just because he was given a calamari and he literally says: "What's with you people? Can't I give my verdicts in peace?" I'd be shocked if he postponed the remainder of the trial for the following week.
This is so unfaithful to the games. The judge is way too reasonable here
Woah, this is so dam great. I just love how in-character you made everyone. Totally feels like I'm watching an episode from the actual game, great job!

"im your older brother you can talk to me about anything!* (Boss health meter appears)

The only issue i have with this is that phoenix would know that kristoph is lying thanks to his magatama, and would jump to the defence of klavier.
I do not mind, do as you please. I’d love to see what you come up with. ^-^
I've always been wanting this sort of thing ever since I played Apollo Justice for the first time
I don't think Klavier would be jailed for life, but he would be disbarred and maybe even seek assistance from Phoenix at some point which would make things interesting
Not sure about the future of this timeline but it's fun to theorize!
Yeah this is clearly showing how much Kristoph Gavin clearly wanted Wright disbarred so that way he would be the better Lawyer. That was all he cared about.

Honestly I like the idea that klavier is disbarred and then proven innocent in the future
Imagine how different he would have been in AJ
Imagine the interactions between klavier and apollo
Klavier would be more aggressive towards us but still he would care for truth(so pretty much van zieks but not racist)
And then apollo would have to show klavier that he can trust him
There we go already a much better written game and I thought about it on the spot
This would also make kristoph more interesting and more cunning
Also I think in this timeline he would target trucy after that trial- another good story telling
Cause lets say trucy is in vera misham situation-almost dead
Apollo would have a great connection to kristoph and we as player we can see how messed up kristoph really is
Why capcom did not take that route?

20:14 👏
Klav called himself to the witness stand
forget kristoph stopping the cross examination: what really bugged me in the end was klavier not fought back to his brother. he respected his brother, but in apollo justice he always felt something wrong and always wanted to see the truth (like he said there) and already had some suspect. so why when his brother is openly blaming him for something he did not do, he just accepts it and not fought back? i know he have no proof of that and probably there's fingerprints of klavier and wright only, but wright itself could've still suspected of kristoph and continued the trial
Phoenix Wright pays his taxes? GONE WRONG, GONE EDGEWORTH
i fear
No way blud had to quote big smoke twice💀💀💀💀💀💀
This is actually well made it rlly feels like it would've in da game
