I really like how the little traps that Edgeworth originally set for Phoenix - the updated autopsy, shutting down his 'badgering' of April May - Grossberg can easily evade. Unlike Phoenix, he knows what to expect from the prosecution and doesn't get lured into the traps so easily. I love Miles, but it's nice to see him actually struggling for once.
It does make sense. Remember that this is only Pheonix's second trial as a lawyer whereas Grossberg has decades worth of experience and is likely familiar with all of Edgeworth's tricks.
Grossberg shortcutting quite a bit of content here. It is cool what one can do when one knows where to aim rather than being left with no context like Phoenix was in the canon version.
The fact they FORGOT about Grossberg's existence after JFA aside from T&T cameo is just outrageous. Bro is imaged as an incompetent old coward despite having hella 40 years of career, bringing Godot and Mia to the profession (with teaching them everything he knew) and encountering almost every prosecutor at the time. The sole reason that AA7 isn’t because they’ve run out of ideas, they’re tring to stop Grossburg from taking control and flipping trials like pancakes in a breakfast bar. But nothing can stop the scent of fresh lemon, and the train of reasoning from a 40 year professional.

Heck, maybe Phoenix saves Grossberg from getting attacked during the second investigation sequence, seeing as how Redd White is threatening Grossberg and all. Lots of potential there, but even if Phoenix doesn't show up again, I'm looking forward to the rest of this mini series.

Or maybe after Grossberg exposes White in court, which it looks like he's about to do, Phoenix WOULD know about Redd White, and go investigating there. Lots of options.
I don’t know much about the Ace Attorney series, but I do love seeing this Grossberg person seemingly putting a stop to every bit of Edgeworth trying to ‘trap’ him into a corner. Making logical questions and making sure the witnesses lies are all made to have more detail for the case. Can’t wait to see him put the final person into their place.

My brother in Christ this second part was heat! I dropped everything to watch it and wow, did it deliver! I love that Mr.Grossberg saw Miles' plans of the updated autopsy coming, about how he knew it was Redd White, so he pursued the Bellboy with different questions...god, next part will be AMAZING TOO!
This was a surprisingly entertaining watch. With part 1 I felt a bit bizarre watching this kind of what-if, since I like Phoenix and his interactions with the other characters even this early in the franchise, but here I was surprisingly hooked; the lawyer performance on display by Grossberg was genuinely amazing, you can tell this was an experienced professional, getting surprised only once in this entire first part of the trial and that was just a slight sidetracking. I'll eagerly be looking forward to Part 3.
I might have overdone it by just a smidge, but I tried to make sure that this was the case since Phoenix was naturally a lot less experienced and hotheaded since he was young. Grossberg is older and more experienced, so he'd know more about the prosecution and the traps they like to lay out for the defense.

It’s between this version and the anime version of Grossberg - both are confident and are willing to help in some way or another. Really can’t wait to see the next chapter of this! Incredible work!
Yeahh, I thought the 2004 Objection music fit his character best, since he is a veteran attorney, and this theme is inherited by Phoenix once he becomes a veteran himself. I figured that maybe this theme originated with Grossberg, you know?

Please continue this series with Grossberg as the main attorney, it is extremely entertaining and only needs a couple more additions to the series for success. I don't think something like this has been done before.
I'd love to see Grossberg tackle more original trilogy cases. It's interesting seeing a more advanced lawyer be able to pressure Edgeworth like this. It would be interesting seeing how Grossberg would tackle Turnabout Goodbyes considering the teasing of Grossberg and Manfred plus Grossberg's low opinion of Edgeworth and the fact that Robert Hammond was someone from Grossberg's office. Makes me wonder if Grossberg would even take the case since he doesn't like Edgeworth and Edgeworth is being accused of murdering a good friend of Grossberg's.

I'm usually the lurker type but wow I had to go come here and say something about this, I've never seen such an AA video that captures the games well AND does a nice job of portraying an otherwise boring character. I'm very excited for part 3
Grossberg is a real Ace Attorney. He should have been the one showing Phoenix the ropes during his youth so that Phoenix could actually be an Ace Attorney himself through skill and experience instead of just happening to stumble upon vital evidence and bumbling around. I mean, for Christ's sake, Phoenix didn't even know to flip the bloodied receipt until Mia literally had to rise from her grave.
Sure he didn't knew it but Phoenix, as Redd White mentioned earlier had no chance of winning the case before Mia inside Maya's body threatened to give the names of people Redd blackmailed to press (quite the same way Redd did to Mia's mother). The court was painfully biased. Phoenix had to fight Redd using Redd's own words against him. Phoenix -at least in my opinion- could have easily proved Redd White guilty if Redd didn't have the court with him (including the minister of Justice according to anime).

Awesome video, though i do have 2 tiny gripes that could have been solved with a line of dialogue. First, Grossberg magically knowing about the updated autopsy report. Secondly, the case of redd white being in May's room. A line about him visiting the coroner would have solved the former, while investigating the table would have solved the latter. Though again, I appreciate the video and will await ghe finale with great intrest.

This would lead to a more natural feeling to him obtaining the updated report. He may know Edgeworth to be tricky, but there should be more buildup than just guessing the change in question.
A thing Grossberg could also have pressed with the bloody note? a handwriting anaylysis. Sure of Mia was dying while she wrote it, it wouldn't be a perfect match, but it would still have some semblance. But since it's a fabrication, a handwriting analysis would reveal it as such.
I considered that, but due to the nature of the evidence (it looks like the bloody note was written with a finger, therefore a handwriting analysis would have been null), it wouldn't have really made sense. Not a bad idea given another context though!

Holy the quality of this video is through the roof, I loved all the little details even to the point of simulating the player input and penalty bar. This really does compete with some of the best Ace Attorney content creators such as Debastian Sebeste and others. Keep up the good work!
So, with all of this in mind, it went from Red White trying to turn Phoenix in, to Grossberg single handedly taking out all of White's alibis in a single session and White wasn't even there yet! Glass lamp? Grossberg already knows the receipt! Framing Grossberg? He wasn't even involved until now! White staying in his room all night? Bellboy outed him out! His best bet now is to convince everyone that he was on a night walk and make up a story that he enjoys looking outside at the night stars. When he was near the building, he heard a crashing noise! He panicked and ran straight back! Only for Grossberg to say something like, "Coincidence? I think NOT!"

Meh, the pacing was pretty messy to be honest. Besides it's weird that there is a clear attempt to stay faithful to the game's presentation, yet Grossberg has been asking people to hold it more than actually objecting to progress testimonies

that was a smooth cross-examination, nice way of tying the wiretap directly to the culprit with the "retrieval conundrum"

Holy the quality of this video is through the roof, I loved all the little details even to the point of simulating the player input and penalty bar. This really does compete with some of the best Ace Attorney content creators such as Debastian Sebeste and others. Keep up the good work!

So, with all of this in mind, it went from Red White trying to turn Phoenix in, to Grossberg single handedly taking out all of White's alibis in a single session and White wasn't even there yet! Glass lamp? Grossberg already knows the receipt! Framing Grossberg? He wasn't even involved until now! White staying in his room all night? Bellboy outed him out!
His best bet now is to convince everyone that he was on a night walk and make up a story that he enjoys looking outside at the night stars. When he was near the building, he heard a crashing noise! He panicked and ran straight back!
Only for Grossberg to say something like, "Coincidence? I think NOT!"
When will part 3 come?
I would love to give a concrete date, but I would be lying to you if I did... it should be coming sometime this month, at the very least.

Meh, the pacing was pretty messy to be honest. Besides it's weird that there is a clear attempt to stay faithful to the game's presentation, yet Grossberg has been asking people to hold it more than actually objecting to progress testimonies
To be fair, the first one is actually just the original. Phoenix also just presses the point to make everyone throw out the first testimony.
