I love this series! I ran out to the Dollar Tree, half way through this video, to get my gold mica! I used my book binding awl to drill the hole and pop the bottom. Then used my Dollar Tree pallet knife to scoop and stir. You are brilliant. Thank you for saving us so much money!
Amy. This is Darla(not Clint). I have opened the eye shadow bottles before. I found an easier way to open them. Unscrew the top of the bottle. When you look inside you see an inner "cone". Take a small crochet hook and put through the slot and hook slot and pull cone out. Then you can rescrew bottle top on and bottle stands steady. I found it so much quicker. By the way your are terrific!! I have learned so many different crafts and how to make items without costing so much. Thank you!!!

Just found you the other day and started watching all of your build your stash videos. I have learned so much from them. I had bought a lot of the L.A. eye shadows a long time ago to use as colors on paper, I use a really shape pokey tool stick it close to the edge and pull up and the bottom comes right off without putting a hole in it. I also after dropping two of my eye shadows after open them on the bottom and losing it all I started putting them in the little jars you are using here to hold them. I peel the sticker off the bottom and put it on the lid of my jar so when i get low i know what the color is in that jar and can just pick it up when I need it. I just thought I would share that with you. I am so enjoying all of these videos like I said i am learning so much from watching you, I have made a lot of the things so far up to this video and i am just loving them. thank you for so much for making all of these videos. O was watching a video of another crafter using a product called glimmer paste. I was rather sad because I could not go out and buy it. The card was so oretty. I really wanted to use the product. Then BAM!!! It hit me. You have taught us a thrifty way of getting glimmer. I just looked up videos of how to make texture paste and added the eye shadow. It worked perfectly!!! Thank you so much for your generous heart patiently teaching and inspiring each week.

Another Fantastic video. I'm really enjoying this series your doing and hope will keep it going for the future. You mentioned tiny brushes I purchase, a make up or nail art brush set that has the range of really tiny brushes and up. They are fairly cheap if you bid on eBay, auctions are best. I find them where the first bids about a penny. Cain usual get it from less than a dollar to about 2 dollars if u do it that way. Just thought I'd mention it for those that want it or wish to try tiny brushes. Again thank you for taking your time to make these videos. I have been a crafter for some time now, but have learned some great things from your videos. Along with why didn't I think of that moments. Lol Hope your having a fantastic and crafty day. 😍😀

I've only used LA eye makeup as a burnishing powder. So great to know it can be used in paints and glue, too. Thank you!

another great build your stash video. a great tiny brush that I buy for detail painting is nail polish art brushes. I bought a set of 10 different ones that also comes from 3 metal ball stylus to do dots. only cost me $2 from the Wish app online store. they work great and last long time. tfs.

So much crafty fun from 2 little mica bottles. This l really need to do. I have glitter paint and glue but l'm not happy with the effect. Shimmer however is lustrous . So much more appealing to me.

I was sitting here watching this fantastic video and was wondering if I could use my old pill bottles? Me and my husband have a lot and I have been saving them to recycle with my crafts.
Hello Jody :) Thank you for the sweet comment :) You can try and use your pill bottles and see if the product dries out or not. I am not sure if they are air tight, but you can put a piece of plastic wrap over the top before putting the cap on, and that would help :) They also make good containers for little bits to keep them seperate, like when you take apart jewelry you can keep the different beads in different bottles :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy

gotta be carefull opening the the l. a. colors cuz if you are a clutz like me, my whole craft room was a beautiful silver shimmer cuz i sent it flying all over.
