I used to work at a Kroger in a small town. We had a few customers who were extreme couponers. It was neat watching how much money could be saved. Most of the people would buy things like massive amounts of toothpaste and deodorant, and donate them to the local shelters. ❤️
I only knew families who weren't extremely coupons and would buy $600+ for full worth with basic normal retail who donated and I always loved helping them
She may have spent $100s of dollars, but I guarantee she got more items then y’all did before Christmas. It’s honestly the best time to shop. Love this for her
That's a way to do it too! 😃Seriously. A lot of people take a break from buying what they don't need after Christmas and into January. A long winter's nap keeps one away from temptation 😁
i honestly really respect this, shes humble too. shes a woman with a reason fr, like im happy for her as its really genius and with little drama involved.
After my parents got divorced, mom took us shopping for our Christmas the day after. We got a LOT more of what we wanted & almost never spent our full $100 she gave to each of us. This was as a single mom on a limited (barely above minimum wage) income back in the 90’s. We didn’t coupon as much as this lady though 😂
A lot of this I can relate to, mainly the buying for all the events in the year in one sitting. Whenever I have coupons for things such as clothing, housewares, toys etc they often get bought as gifts for other people for events in the course of the coming year such as birthdays, new baby births, weddings
I spent very little amount during December but managed to give gifts to everyone friends, family and office mates. They thought I spent a lot in one setting, little did they know that I've collected the gifts all year round. We need to be practical nowadays, it's great to make people happy but better if you also do not compromise yourself.
My aunt used to do this, she was usually traveling on holydays but she took these days to shop and give her family and friends their christmas gifts. Everyone recived them on new years eve or january.
I appreciate how much the daughter is willing to help! I’ve seen other videos where the people’s kids were bored and didn’t want to help so this was a nice change!
7:57 $496? What?? No. At store #1, she spent “just over $100.” At store #2 she spent $240, then $278 at store #3 and $123 at store #4, for a total of at least $741. That dog won’t hunt
Couponing is a full-time job. You need to be extremely organized and also not afraid to point out the error when the cashier system does not allow the transaction.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I usually finish Christmas shops before December is over! If I didn't I couldn't afford it otherwise. Then I can just hide items and wait till holiday. Because of the savings I buy items for Christmas angels, and helping others.
Hey if she's got the time to do this it's worth the savings. I can't believe she saved that much money. But it took 17 hours. But worth the long one she got gifts and accessories for the next year.
I always wait for sales. I buy clothes, shoes, boots at the end of season. A lot of places send coupons to your email if you sign up. Then if i want something I wait until I have a coupon.
😒 for the clothes that aren’t anything special and she’s buying in advance, u can find them for 90% off when they go out of season at many stores a few weeks after they start marking them down 🤷🏼♀️ could save tons then- no coupons require ...
But it's for multiple events throughout the entire year, money she'd spend anyways but for way less. So she is yes saving herself money for the future.
@@morgan3368 I saw that vlog as well and I was so impressed that she really tried to find every single item that the soldiers asked for. She has a very caring personality.
My main focus the day after is returns. I don’t think I’ve bought one of those gift sets ever. I feel as tho she’s grabbing too much taking up too much time. This just shows what these items are actually worth. Ugh that’s so frustrating when your looking at ur gps & see it’s taking over an hour to get 15 miles.
Until about 5 years ago, u could use coupons on clearance items at most stores (now most stores u can’t).. u still can at Kohl’s 🤷🏼♀️ Also if u sign up for the free membership at banana republic/gap/old navy, u get 10% off your first purchase (and I believe it only excludes gift cards... this summer I bought a bunch of clearance at the gap and signed up and got the extra 10% off)

I don’t have a twin, but as a young child my BFF 👯♀️ who lived across the street was like the sister I always wanted and we were like fraternal twins and her mom would buy us matching outfits (and we LOVED IT)... and we did everything together... if she hadn’t moved far away when we were young, I imagine we might still wear matching outfits from time to time 🤣🤣🤣 had our parents been friends, I also imagine we wouldn’t have lost touch when they moved to another city (the relationship between our parents was def strained, but her parents (the better ones) still treated me like a second daughter and even spent money buying us matching outfits, accessories, etc)
You know this is the first time I have recognized the selfishness of this kind of practice. Why would you buy ALL the napkins when you know they are not something the store carries all year round? Why not take some and leave some for another family?
I hear you. To each their own. I'd rather be spending it on necessities, etc. During the holiday season budget can get tight and it's always nice to stock up. But she also seems to be buying gifts that she'd like to give during the year, like the coat for her son's birthday.
I mean yes, I also shop sweets and stuff after Christmas because sometimes they sell it by the pound to get rid off it, but getting up at like 3am for savings? I'd just sleep in and stroll around then, and I get what I get. I mean look at those stores, they're empty because no one is as insane as them, showing up that early. Most people value relaxation over savings
Unless you have 6 grandkids or dogs - why would you need that many small blankets - never mind 30 soft toys😮 also that’s a cheap store where she’s buying the kids shirts. There’s no way these a 38 dollars.
Most extreme couponers while having a massive stockpile are not hoarders. I am not either but hoarders are not organized. They have no clue what they have and save everything including newspapers, magazines, literal garbage. Couponers know what they have and it’s organized. The only issue I see is must have storage and time. Neither that I have.

That’s amazing! People judging her purchases might be forgetting how much they spent on kids clothes and gifts in the past year
Our country doesn’t allow multiple vouchers on items. It’s single use only.
That’s why she made them separate transactions
I love how supportive and chill her daughter is.

After I moved out and started paying for my own stuff, this isn’t embarrassing anymore and makes more sense.
Who wants all this cheap, without quality plastic stuff? What about sustainablility? When will this end in the trash?
I find this difficult to believe shops have discounts all year. Just sign up for the emails and buy them throughout the year.
Someone needs to tell Misty End of January is the true discount season.
And then she wouldn't have to spend all of Christmas day prepping for her shopping spree, as well.
This is a shopping addiction problem disguised as money saving.

She bought things and planned around for things she will need in the future. She’s smart.
Exactly!! Then they brag that they will donate sometimes to people in need! Well, you should!!
To me this is borderline hoarding.
This woman has been featured before and she actually donates more than half of the stuff to various charities and organisations
And she also sponsors soldiers and her son who is serving , she shops for what they like and then ships it to them.
LOL @ borderline. These people are mentally ill. I just watched one lady that bought 93 bags of croutons. She must eat salad 3 times daily .
@@morgan3368 I saw that vlog as well and I was so impressed that she really tried to find every single item that the soldiers asked for. She has a very caring personality.
Kind of? But hoarding is described as collecting random items and having an unusual attachment to them and not willing to get rid of them.
But but, if it’s junk (and it is all junk) where is the value??
I don't need to do that kind of shopping. But for certain situations I would LOVE to learn how to coupon like that.
