A couple of ways in which ive used technology to improve my playing. I used Adobe Illustrator to map scale diagrams, Songster to practice solos & SOLO to practice intervals. Really enjoying my guitar journey. Thanks to the SOLO lads for their out of the box pioneering thinking
I have this app on Android! I have been using it for two days. Without these videos I would be pretty lost with the app but the tutorial content is fantastic. I am already looking at scale work in a new way. Very exciting.
Another way to play along to harmonic content, if you don’t have an interface for Solo, is to play a backing track in headphones and leave one ear uncovered to hear your guitar.
Hey Tom. Please check out Zyryab by Paco de Lucía. It has some amazing changes and applications for phrygian dominant and Lydian dominant. Also has a solo by Chick Corea. Thanks a lot
It's a cool app, bought in a heartbeat, cause it seems to address my weaknesses perfectly. IMO, it needs a "time constraint" kind of practice tool, where you have to play notes to a click, may be with Solo highlighting missed notes in red, and providing statistics of "hit and miss" later, upon exercise completion. Can be done with a separate metronome, though. Also, there seems to be a bug on ios 14 / iPhone 8 plus - if the device goes into sleep / locked mode, the app won't hear the notes without app restart.
Cheers Iowyaw, glad it's working for you. We have something along those lines in the pipeline, and are aware of the sleep "bug". It basically happens anytime there's an interruption, phone call, other audio etc. On the list!
@@SoloApp that’s awesome , exactly what I was thinking “time context with statistics” so you can make it like a game to beat your previous score Cant wait to get this app
Hey Tom, once you've done all the steps in your video, what would you do next if you wanted to take what you learned and make it more "shreddy"? Sorry I know your not particularly a metal guy.

Hi Tom, A HARMONIC CONTEXT DRONE OR CHORD WOULD BE A KILLER FONCTION TO ADD to your wonderful app.
Totally agree with both ideas!
Thanks for the feature feedback, these are definitely on the list of things for future updates.
This is an absolute MUST! Please put this high on your backlog!
Is this update out ? Would buy it instantly !
@@darkmoonz7697 last app version is 1.4 4 from 2021-Sep-02. These features are not there, they are expected in next version (if it comes out).

These videos complement the app perfectly. Thanks Tom!
I see you don't recommend curtains to video chads like Tom

Hi Lads,
Do I require both the iPhone app plus the iOS app for my Mac desktop to utilize the course?
Thanks 🙏

My problem is what scale formula to be used in playing fusion Jazz Rock.

I play my electric guitar mostly unplugged, will sølo be able to pick up my picked notes ok?
Hi adsfaeder, it will work fairly well! Just not as good as if plugged into an amp or direct via an audio interface.
Yes, it works for me
Update on Android progress?
Out now!
