Fleece hey that is absolutely right. You can hear it, it kind of sounds like falsetto style with a baritone voice. To me that is what makes him have such a distinct sound.
and I can say i was blessed to travel from rhode island to Florida with this tour.. personal friendship with Miles Mosley on the upright bass. still a dream come true , that still is a dream that it really happened. Best time of my musical life!!!
Jd legit is the only person in the world i can listen to straight without a thought of skipping a track. Not only that i dont know which i like better.. how can one man have so many good songs this consistently... ur one of a kind JD legit most unique voice and always sing from your soul.. i do not know any other artist this talented.. keep releasing your music it is legit perfection.... I remember the first time i heard you was on wsou setan hall pirate radio in 1993. They played shoots n ladders and blind.. Been a fan since then
Jonathan Davis and the SFA is an experimental rock project formed by Jonathan Davis in 2007. Jonathan wanted to do a solo tour ever since he wrote the songs for the 2002 film, Queen of the Damned, he was finally able to do so which in turn formed this project. Members Jonathan Davis - vocals, multi-instruments Shenkar - vocals, double-violin Wes Borland - guitars Miles Mosley - upright bass Zac Baird - keyboards Ray Luzier - drums, percussion
особое восхищение вызывают музыканты, которые виртуозы в своём деле. Двойная скрипка, клавишник, барабанщик - одновременно на нескольких инструментах и при этом подпевая. Красота
RIP guitar player dude, hate it that so many musicians die. Hendrix, Cliff burton, Sid vicious, cobain, and this guy even though he wasn't nearly as famous as the rest he was still a really good guitarist.
Tbh though, sid vicious didn't get the opportunity to reach his maximum potential because he was not that great a bassist, but he still tried his hardest.
In guitar/Musician circles. Shane was/Is still considered one of the best most never heard of.In our circles his name is spoken With AWE!He was much Loved for sure,But you are right of course! It is a great feeling to have the love & respect of your peers. But of course everyone wants to be appreciated by not just ppl who understand what you do.He was a session guy & we aren’t loved & appreciated honestly. We just re-write & fix inferior artists screw ups.Ya know?No big deal right..lol. Btw,You’re lucky if you’re given at the min an hour to polish these turds too.If you’re not fast,Efficient,& brilliant in that short time. You are FIRED!Seriously! Not many session musicians left actually.Shane was one of the best!
I play Guitar. Will you mourn me when I die, maybe do a Memorial concert for me? In case you didn't notice, we all go the same way at some point, it's lights out baby! Famous or not... Oh and BTW, the last thing I wanna do is Rest In Peace!!! I wanna Rock all night long, get drunk, fornicate, do drugs, fight 'till death, and do it all over again and again and again ... Everytime I watch this video I am like "oh, this is my favorite song" until the next song .... and then the next one....I LOVE this DVD. JD is such an incredible musician!! And the SFA are just that! Simpley fucking amazing!
I was never a Korn fan so ta say yet this just rocks. This along with the Soundtrack from The Queen of the Damned just slays me. That mystical droning violin just gets my spirit singing for some reason. I'm a guitar player yet the Viola player just kills me. I cant really describe how it cuts right to my spirit yet it does. Right to the Spirit. I've played lead in many a Worship teams and the way this guy plays his electric viola is mesmerizing ta say the least. I love it. Jons vocals are spot on too. This is beautiful. Beautiful.
This is absolutely beautiful, i grew up with the underground Korn sound, to see it evolve to this is just too inspirational to put into words.10/10 -Charles B.
As of 2012, Korn had sold around 35 million copies worldwide. Taylor Swift is one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 40 million albums.

First song is from the movie Queen of the damned. Awesome movie check out by the way. Thank Johnathan for awesome thing you do with Everytime you sang .
omg jon , another awesome f*#@ing great performance that ive never heard of before , which simalar to them on unpluged , well the both performances i think are nearly better than their usual way!! great job jon
I am a firm believer that this album is one of J.D.s best works.
Well put. Strongly agreed.
Who is still here watching this all over again? Never gets old🖤 love my JD 4Ever
I watch at least 5 times a year since the first night I stumbled across it...
SHANKAR IS A LEGEND! R.I.P SHANE PAUL GIBSON! AMAZING PERFORMANCE!
been watching this for years and still holds up. top 5 masterpiece ever imo
absolutely
tearjerker is a masterpiece
Jon is one of the few singers in metal that has not lost his voice at his older age. Thank God!
yeah
it's because he doesn't scream or growls all the time like others...
its all technique if your force your vocal chords eventually you will hurt them, if you know how to do it you can sing gutural for ever
Fleece hey that is absolutely right. You can hear it, it kind of sounds like falsetto style with a baritone voice. To me that is what makes him have such a distinct sound.
He's only in his 40s i think. Plus he has off days like any other.
This version is actually way better than the big format they did for large venues. This event and its recording are GOLD.
SLEPT SO LONG IS A MUSICAL MASTERPIECE AND THIS VERSION OF THE SONG WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR ETERNITY

So great to see him do Forsaken. Im shocked that wasnt a bigger hit. Its a great song.
It was a song for a movie he can't do 'officially' as a korn member, so it kinda had to stay a tad niche.
SHENKAR!!!
A humble and true living legend
2020 just revisiting, R.I.P. Shane Gibson!
The best unplugged performance by Jonathan Davis pretty much ever! Wish I could have seen it in person.
