So Jonathan actually dedicated this song to his fans, thanking them for everything and keeping him going. After a while he did not play this song live but lead singer of Linkin Park Chester Bennington died (2017) and Jonathan began performing this song to remember Bennington. It was his late (passed in 2018) wife’s favorite song. He ended up having a breakdown while playing this song because of it. and so we will most likely not be hearing this song live anymore. Side note: the beginning sounds a lot like the sound track from Queen of the Damned. For those who didn’t know, it is an AMAZING movie and the soundtrack was written by Jonathan Davis, Chester Bennington was a lead singer in the song System which is by far the most iconic song from the movie.
Holy shit! I just searched for 4U because I hadn't listened to it in years. This version is so fantastic and I appreciate it all the more as a new violinist! when I saw the electric violin I was so stoked. love Jonathan Davis all the more now seeing this
