    This JDMAstar led is 3157 Standard and CK type. Very bright Pure White LED. Amber lights is brighter than stock bulb. Good buy. I've installed it on my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe. This will work for all 2013 2014 2015 Accord Coupe and Sedan. Coupe uses 3157 and Sedan uses 1157 bulb for 2013 - 2015 Accord. 2016 2017 Accord for both coupe and sedan uses 7443 bulb.
    You also need to install resistors for fix hyperblinking issue. Flasher relay is not accessible on the 9thgenaccord.

    Just installed the resistors that I bought from you and so far it's workin great. Thanks! Now about these switchbacks, is there any delay between switching from white to amber?

  • @Isah305

    I originally dont have DRL. I used leds that came with resistors. I dont have hyper flash, i have problem that while my parking lights are on (white led), when i turn on turn light it has a delay. Like normal turn light blinks twice while these led blinks only once. And it has a small delay while switching to orange/amber. It goes a bit white then amber.
    How can I fix it?
    Thanks

    I replaced 3157 incandescent bulbs on my Dodge truck and got a rapid flash turn signal.
    What RESISTOR?, where do I find one?
    Do I need one for each the Driver side and Passenger side separately?
    How do they install? (Plug n play or soldered in-line?)
    I replaced the Backup/reverse Lights with bulbs similar in shape & size to this video and they work & perform great. No problems. Only problem is the rapid flash.
    Please help. I'm new to the LED world & would like to replace ALL Lights to LED eventually. Thanks in advance!!

    Thanks so much for all of your videos! They're so educational and helpful. I posted a comment on your car detailing/cleaning video, but not sure if you responded.
    My question was: How do you spot clean? Meaning, if there's bird poop, tree sap or a spot of dirt on a particular area or panel of your car, how do you clean that area without scratching the paint?

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  8 лет назад +1

      +Jeremy Thomas I use either last touch or rinseless car wash solution to wipe the dust off my vehicle. I do not use the California duster. You can buy a small hand held garden sprayer bottle and use that to wash off bird droppings by setting the pressure setting to high and then once the bird dropping as sprayed away, use any of the solution above to wipe off the vehicle.

    • @fijizzle
      @fijizzle 8 лет назад

      +DIY: Car Modz Okay. Thanks so much! Also, do you need to wax and clay a brand new car before using the rinseless method to wash the exterior? Planning on buying a 2016 civic in June, and was wondering about this. Thanks so much in advance! ☺️

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  8 лет назад

      +Jeremy Thomas Yes, you should clay your vehicle first. It will make washing and waxing much easier. The new car just sits at the dealership and the paint filled with contaminants.

    • @fijizzle

      +DIY: Car Modz I appreciate the quick response. Okay, so clay, wax, then apply sealant in that order, before using the rinseless method, correct? Thank you so much, again. You're a huge help to the community!

    I have a 2016 Honda accord sport sedan and these have a lot of "wiggle" room in the plug. In addition to that, the contacts on the bulb did not touch the contacts in the plug. To get around this I pulled the bulb's contacts out a bit so that when I pressed the bulb into the plug they were forcefully touching. This was fine, but then the issue of the wiggle was still present and if the bulb was not centered in the socket, it would not light at all. Maybe I got a pair of lemons

      2016 accord Sport uses 7443 base bulbs..

    • @bcFenix
      @bcFenix 7 лет назад

      Thanks for the reply. It looks like I made a mistake. I thought that the 31xx bulb size was one of many names for the T20 socket. It's not. It doesn't look like the Amazon store carries 7443 in that switchback model so I'll get them from the actual web store. Just wanted to let you know that the link you provided in the '16-'17 section in the description leads to the 31xx size. Maybe they was supposed to be a drop down but the only size listed on that link is 31xx.

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  7 лет назад

      For some reason, they are not selling the 7443 on Amazon any more. It is not listed there. They must have combined the listing for both 3157 and 7443 into one. I've corrected the link but I recommend purchasing directly from JDMastar.

    • @DIYCarModz

      Yes, red amber switchback does exist. However unless your taillight lens is clear or has both amber and red lens cover, both amber and red will not show up clearly without color distortion

    dumb question will these bulbs work behind a all amber plastic lens, light on a fj cuiser. I took a very bright led flashlight and forced the light through the housing and it was pretty close to white coming out the other side

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  7 лет назад

      More than likely its not going to look 100% white. It will have that slight pale yellow light but there will be a difference between the turn signal ( complete amber color blinking ) and the parking lights (whitish color)

  • @zeeahh02
    @zeeahh02 7 лет назад +1

    Hey so I installed these on my 2016 sedan exl, along with the resistor you make and some rear leds. However in the front there's a slight delay, about a good one second where the bulb changes from white to amber or vice versa. Is that normal? Nothing was loose and everything fit perfectly.

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  7 лет назад

      That is how it suppose to be. There is always a delay when switching between colors. Look at Audi, it is the same thing. Nothing to worry about. Working as it should.

      That's a lie I have these and no one ever flashes me. You probably have either fogged up headlight housings which bounce light in every single direction whether they are projectors or reflective housings or you have leds or hids in a reflective housing or you drive with your high beams on at night. I've had these for two years and never have been flashed and I even have led bulbs in my low beams in this exact same car.

    So switchback bulbs should be designed within the bulb itself to switch between the colors correct? Or is there a special relay that is needed? I had purchase some other switchback bulbs, but the white light doesn't switch off when the turn signal is on. The white light stays on at the same time that the amber lights flash. Why is that?

      +iombie I noticed that too. The switchback led takes a split second to turn on and so when you lock and unlock the vehicle the led tries to turn on but it doesnt fully light up. If you look closely at the bulb you can see a the white parking light flash.

      I have not tried the vleds yet. Mainly because of the cost. The vleds cost 4x as much compare to these. These are super bright. It light up the traffic lights when I'm stopped at a red light. Will these work for my 2016 Exl v6 coupe? They look really good

    do you know of switchback that has built in resistors that fit the 9th gen accord coupe?

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  8 лет назад

      I don't believe there is one a turn signal led bulb that has a resistor built in that will fix the hyperblinking issue. There might be bulbs that vleds make that has a separate resistor that will attach to the led control box but thats about it.

    i haw a question, is it possible to install this in a normal turn signal with two wires or do you need to do some wiering??

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  8 лет назад

      In order for the switchback led to work you need to have 3 wires. One wire is ground and the other 2 wires are the positive wires for each light color.

    I bought switchbacks for my 2014 Honda Accord Sport and they look just like the ones in the video (they are JDM ASTARs 3157 3155 3457 4157). The switchbacks don't have the same socket as the stock turn signals though. Do you know where I can get a different socket that would work with these switchbacks, or should I return the switchbacks and go with something else? Thanks!

      You need 1157. 2013-2015 Honda accord SEDAN uses 1157. 2013 - 2015 Accord COUPE uses 3157. goo.gl/9u9ud1

      fit does not have dual function blinker lights. You will have to make modification to the stock single filament socket and add in control module.

      I was wondering because im actually gonna get Vleds. I had the ones you linked but it popped out of the socket and fell into the housing after a couple months. It was a bitch getting it out again.
      So i need to figure out if my car use ck or standard

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  7 лет назад

      Do you still have the bulbs? Can you send me picture of the bulb base. I noticed that there are many people that buy the wrong bulb.. they buy 3157 instead of 7443. 2016 sedan takes 7443. If the bulb you purchased looks exactly as the bulb in this video review then it is 3157 which is the wrong bulb. You can check if its ck or standard with a test light.

    So I bought these for my civic, got some resistors as well but the plug on them to turn into the headlight housing is much bigger than the original one. Did I order the wrong one? My original bulb is 3457 so I figured these should've worked:

    • @DIYCarModz

      Its because they are using a universal plug. Not all the socket is the same.. hence why it is bigger than your headlight. You need to trim it to fit.

      No, they will pull you over if they can't see it. They will be able to see this no problem. Even during sunny afternoon in San Diego. In the past I did get pulled over once using a very cheap led turn signal before before I upgraded. Cop said they could not see my turn signal even though I did signal.

      DIY: Car Modz is there any bulb like this with jdmaster that i wont need any resistor?

    • @DIYCarModz
      @DIYCarModz  6 лет назад

      No, for your vehicle it will require load resistors. You are unable to change the flasher relay on your vehicle because it is integrated into the gauge circuit board. Any led bulb that claims to not need a load resistor is false advertising. They have resistors inside the led bulb. However, those do not last at all because the heat generated from the resistor inside will melt the solder joints and they will become defective.
