Fabulous Liam ... Top man as always .... You just got it and thrilling lots of people at the 'Railworld Wildlife Haven' seeing your films on the big screen ... Thanks a million my friend
Superb video Liam and Phil. Fantastic selection of locations capturing the engines working well. Nice to see double headers. A really excellent gala.n A throughly enjoyable watch. Kind regards C&A
Superb as ever, thanks Liam and Phil, despite the very challenging conditions. Wonderful line-up and really atmospheric. All much enjoyed, especially the double-headers. Kind regards, Bob.
Beautifully filmed! Just love those colourful locos and their stack talk, great looking coaches and impressive countryside you have there. Cheers from Canada.
Once again top draw of a vid of in my opinion the Autumn Steam Gala of the century. A Hall, a King & an A4 making the headlines. Fantastic. It was great seeing you & Phil yesterday. Richard
Absolutely wonderful, as Ray Walkington says ".....enhanced by the rain and the autumn colours........." I was going to go but the weather forecast and the webcam views of brollies up and being blown inside out, and the drive up from Basingstoke put me off. I thought I'd made the right decision especially when I saw this morning's webcam views but then I saw your videos...............!!! Well Done.
The trouble with your films is that I keep pausing them to see perfect still shots that would grace any gallery. 12.46 is a case in point, what a fabulous sight those two locos make. Well done, especially in such wet conditions.
Wonderful video a special thank you to our Canadian friend who mentioned the countryside, it's Yorkshire at its best but the north York moors is a particularly gem even when it is raining.
Absolutely Steve, the pass is much needed ! You'll need to come across next year, especially if they pull off the potential lineup which is doing the rounds !
Great vid, it certainly shows how difficult it is to keep both locos on a double header pulling at the same rate. The sound is particularly good considering the obvious breeze. Great entertainment thank you.
Great line up of steam traction again on the NYMR what a pleasure to see some great video Mr Marsh, one section caught my eye at about 3 mins 09 seconds into the video is the state of most of those rail joints likely i would think to cause potential spring breakage on locomotives in particular ............. having worked on a preserved railway for many years when i was a young lad i`m only to aware of the workload put upon the volunteers so please don`t think i`m knocking the NYMR i`am not.
Excellent video in the rain, thought 6023 was struggling a bit on her own whereas the A4 was coasting up the gradients.many thanks for posting, well done.
We were looking for you on the Saturday - yes it was a grand display - mind you putting the 9f tender first in front of the King didn't go down well with the photographers - it might have been sunny for most of Saturday but you definitely got the best combinations and best shots - well done - again
Hi Alan, we was on the train Saturday and Sunday, so it was only right we had a ride behind these stunning thoroughbreds ! Thanks for keeping an eye out and for your comment.
Wet rails with leafs falling are very challenging conditions, but 60009 did seem to be going well. The King looks very dramatic, although there are some big steam leaks from the cylinders.
jeez Louise, the track there is as rough as a bear's arse! I thought it was a rocking horse coming up the track, some attention required by the plate laying gang??????
The engine bucking up and down the unlevel rails, the trees choking on the smoke. The ozone layer ripped open above north Yorkshire. No wonder trains are now electric. But give me a Deltic any day.
Thank goodness for the new Bio diesel trains...These smokey old things should never ever be allowed to turn a wheel again, all this pollution is disgusting.
40029. Get over yourself a badly maintained 37 can belch out just as much shit as any steam engine, anyway what's the point of us worrying about a bit of smoke when China still build coal fired Power Stations and burn hundreds of thousands of tons everyday, airliners use thousands of tons of Kerosene everyday, the list is endless and your worrying about a few Steam Engines, I suppose your one of the freaks that run an electric car or a Hybrid and convince yourself your saving the planet, Get a Grip.
Ian Ballinger. I think your wrong there, diesel Now contains hardly any sulfur where as coal is full of the stuff and it's the sulfur that causes the problem but as we all used coal to heat our homes and now we don't I wouldn't think a few steam engines will make any difference to the planet.
Rainy shots can be beautiful too. Great work.
Superb stuff enhanced by the rain and the autumn colours - well done.
Fabulous Liam ... Top man as always .... You just got it and thrilling lots of people at the 'Railworld Wildlife Haven' seeing your films on the big screen ... Thanks a million my friend
Brilliant seeing steam trains in North Yorkshire countryside
Never tire of the way GWR machinery just wallops up a gradient like it's an everyday task, because it was :D
Superb video Liam and Phil. Fantastic selection of locations capturing the engines working well. Nice to see double headers. A really excellent gala.n A throughly enjoyable watch. Kind regards C&A

Thanks Richard, good to briefly bump into you, a fantastic gala indeed and if the rumours are to believed next year could be just as big !
Great! wonderful! I've seen it for the first time! Steam locomotives are still in active use! it's very beautiful! I saw a good video! Thank you!
Some of those dropped rail joints are most impressive! Mind you, the NYMR has a lot of them to look after.
Thankfully that section has been relaid with concrete sleepers and new ballast. The old 'big dipper' effect was impressive to see though.
Absolutely wonderful, as Ray Walkington says ".....enhanced by the rain and the autumn colours........." dawno nie widziałam tak interesującego filmu! Dziękuję.
Great video. Awesome trains & beautiful scenery

What a great selection of locomotives this year and nice to see these double-headers. Hope that it was a success despite the weather.
3:35 Wow! I don't think I've ever seen a bounce that prominent!
One of the Best Galas in the UK Liam, despite the atrocious conditions, you both managed to capture some stunning footage as always.
Excellent and I was there for the weekend also.
Great mix of locos love A4's in paticular
Cracking video Liam & Phil , good to see your lineside pass getting you up close especially in those conditions.
Absolutely Steve, the pass is much needed ! You'll need to come across next year, especially if they pull off the potential lineup which is doing the rounds !
As ever, outstanding video and thoroughly enjoyable to watch and hear. Congratulations!
excellent work in trying conditions.
Atmospheric. Brilliant once again.
förträfflig, fremragende, vynikající all mean "Excellent, splendid, commendable, praiseworthy, excellent, laudable" Do it again some time.
Great vid, it certainly shows how difficult it is to keep both locos on a double header pulling at the same rate. The sound is particularly good considering the obvious breeze. Great entertainment thank you.
Absolutely wonderful.
See these every day, just a normal sight to me now! I live right next to the railway

Lucky you! Great video.
Excellent video in the rain, thought 6023 was struggling a bit on her own whereas the A4 was coasting up the gradients.many thanks for posting, well done.
doesn't help they cant get a run at things due to the stupid 25mph limit
Suspect footplate crews have more experience with an A4 than a King
probably mate, kings are much better though.
@@vikingsmb wouldn't go so far as to say Much, though I do prefer them
Just awesome thank you 👏❤️😁xx
Beautiful variety of historic 'Steam' Movies. Thank you so much. Sincere thanks from Gordon Barnard in Australia.

Amazing footage and quality as per 👍🏻
Like Ray said Superb. Cheers
Great videoing, thanks for braving the weather and for sharing
Wet rails with leafs falling are very challenging conditions, but 60009 did seem to be going well. The King looks very dramatic, although there are some big steam leaks from the cylinders.
WoW! Thank You!
The busiest gala ive ever been too.
Agreed, it was chaotic at Grosmont !
That track at @3:29 watch the locos bounce!
That’s pretty shocking track, a broken spring waiting to happen.
Beautifull pictures well done der DR fan aus den Niederlande/The Deutsche Reichsbahnfan from Holland
It’s a very hilly railway, good video
Looks like someone has plenty of track work to be doing soon. The state of that.
A very well done video! Thanks!!
Fantastic video
-Kyle
Phenomenal video, fantastic colours, great angles....absolutely love it!! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻😍😎
Outstanding video really enjoyed it
Excellent vid, I enjoyed watching that
Great video up there sir, especially seen some steam locos out about. Cheers ... Josh
great to see union of south Africa and the k1 now returning back to their home in yorkshire
looks like the q6 is trying to show the j27 how it should be done
great to see the school class double heading with the n15
looks like 6023 is trying to show 6990 how its done and sometimes 6990 was trying to show 6023 how its should be done
also its the first passenger run for 92134 since completion of the overhaul
Brilliant
Good video from the Annual Gala :)
Super video!
Lovely shots and sound. Is it just me or is the track lumpy in places?
there looks like a few dips at rail joints especially at 3:30 onwards with the Q6/T2 but I get a lack of front bogie and a telephoto lens exagerate it
@@jamesshuttleworth6967 You can see the dips in the track, let alone seeing the train literally bounce over them!
Very good in deed. Thank You
very, very, nice!
8:06 somewhere under the rainbow...
6023 king edward ii slips on wet rails
What a great video
The Codgery out in force....every train grock-a-block (or should that be chock-a-grock) with codgers.
3:34 tthem locos had a right barking beat going to them selfs when they rush past the camera sounds a bit like a drum being bashed
There’s loud
There’s really loud
And then there’s 6023
Wonderful video, shame about the rain though.
jeez Louise, the track there is as rough as a bear's arse! I thought it was a rocking horse coming up the track, some attention required by the plate laying gang??????
does anyone know how they synchronise the speeds of the two engines
They are coupled together and one can’t pass through the other?
I love atrin
My god the track work is appalling have they got no P way gang now it supposing
Telephoto shots always make it look worse than it really is.
The engine bucking up and down the unlevel rails, the trees choking on the smoke. The ozone layer ripped open above north Yorkshire. No wonder trains are now electric. But give me a Deltic any day.
Trees actually depend on carbon dioxide, so therefore they'd probably welcome it
I hate that tender on the schools it completely ruins the lines of a very handsome locomotive.
Thank goodness for the new Bio diesel trains...These smokey old things should never ever be allowed to turn a wheel again, all this pollution is disgusting.
I think diesel fumes are much more polluting than coal smoke............
40029.
