Love the info. I wasn't aware of the Export. Good to know. Looking forward to the next video.

I’m thinking of devoting an entire week to exporting. There’s so much to know.

Great video. Very helpful to us new Photoshop users. One question, if I create a photo in photoshop how would I get it included in Lightroom Classic? Would I use the export function?

You certainly can. Lightroom Classic sees layered PSD files (with compatibility turn on, as shown in the video), as well as JPEGs and PNGs. It can apply further edits to JPEGs as well.
But *more typically,* you use Lightroom for the day-to-day development stuff and hand off to Photoshop when you want to add layers.

@@dekeNow I know that Lightroom Classic can handle PSD files. And I know how to send a photo from Lightroom Classic to Photoshop and back. But if I create a photo in Photoshop, how do I get it imported into Lightroom Classic?

@@jamesshrouds4130 Typically, you export it as a flat JPEG or TIFF. Or you can develop it in Camera Raw and save it off as a DNG.

Most newbies leaving photoshop for affinity.... No?

Photoshop is still a great software. However, the business practices of Adobe are not.

I have more thoughts on that one in the coming weeks. But two things I’ll say for Affinity: Wicked powerful and massively complicated.

@@dekeNow yes, I think so too. Just look at the alignment tools and snapping options. I teach both illustrator and affinity designer. And things always get confused when we use these tools.

@@bone4k I haven’t made the leap to Designer yet. But I am impressed by Aff Photo’s approach to snapping. More reliable than Photoshop.
